Which generally leads to the people I like dying. :( [editline]19th June 2013[/editline] Which reminds me, I'm not sure if it's Vanilla skyrim or a mod, but I had just gotten to Riften. I turned in the Fire salts to the blacksmith and checked my inventory. A couple different types of arrows were crowding my weapons tab so I dropped some stacks of Iron and steel. I closed my inventory and turned around. Some other shopkeeper I had just previously done a quest for saw the arrows and the ground and ran for them. She literally called dibs, but Mjoll, whom had just gotten her sword back, wanted the arrows just as much. They fought to the death over some garbage I had dropped on the ground. No one even said anything when Mjoll cut her open. I just stood there in shock. I started to walk away when a courier tapped me on the shoulder with a letter. It was the shopkeeper's, whom I had just witnessed getting murdered, will. Apparently she left her estate of 100g to me. D:
Yeah, that's vanilla skyrim.
You won't believe how fun it is to be a stealth-styled PC, drop a flawless diamond into a bandit lair, and letting the bandits kill each other for it. Or how often it works.
That's actually possible? Whenever I try they just stomp on whatever priceless Daedric I drop as bait until it clips into the ground.
Are there any mods that let me become chief of my own orc tribe?
Yea that is something that as always annoyed me is that playing different races in skyrim has virtually no impact on how you live or how people treat you other then different one liners when you pass by people. Bethesda couldve really done something outstanding with all the cultural conflicts they present and they did an amazing job with setting up these environments (the dunmer in winhelm being treated badly, the orcs confined to their own societies, etc). Imagine being an orc and living your life by malacath's code or suffering for ignoring the code? Imagine being able to go on a quest to be rid of malacath's control over your life? Instead you just walk into a tribe as an orc and still get called an outlander. There couldve been so many creative and interesting quests, and interactions involving our race and bethesda even has it perfectly set up with decent back story and beautiful environment, but you just cant interact with it and while it gives off the proper mood, because you can't get involved in it the immersion completely dies.
Be a Dunmer, in the Gray Quarter "ARE YOU ONE OF THOSE 'SKYRIM FOR THE NORDS' TYPES?"
Be a Dunmer, in the Gray Quarter "ARE YOU ONE OF THOSE 'SKYRIM FOR THE NORDS' TYPES?"
"Yes, I believe others should get out and leave." (And he actually does- only Nords being in Skyrim lets them circlejerk away from Dunmer like us :v: ) Off-topic: Are there any good Spear mods yet?
Be a Dunmer, in the Gray Quarter "ARE YOU ONE OF THOSE 'SKYRIM FOR THE NORDS' TYPES?"
I actually just talked to that guy yesterday as a Dark Elf. For kicks, I picked "Yes, outsiders like me have no place in Skyrim." and he basically told me "you're a fucking idiot." Later I broke into his house and he caught me. He said "Of all people, you?" I actually felt bad.
Since when did Skyrim have a disposition system?
It works kind of like Oblivion's, except you can't change it by doing a minigame using pie-charts.
I remember how they hyped up the new radiant AI features. It wasn't that good.
There are a lot of traces of cut-out, yet promised content in Riverwood, but it never shows up anywhere else in Skyrim. For example if you kill someone's husband, the wife will hate you or if you kill the shopkeeper, someone will take over.
You won't believe how fun it is to be a stealth-styled PC, drop a flawless diamond into a bandit lair, and letting the bandits kill each other for it. Or how often it works.
I'm going to have to try this now

hi everyone, just wanted your guys opinion on mods. I'm using sharpshooters ENB right now, but do you guys think there are other/better ENBs I could use?
Which reminds me, I need to get more mods.
Which reminds me, I need to get more mods.
TESV.exe has stopped working.
Hmmm... is the Unreal Cinema ENB any good?
[editline]20th June 2013[/editline] I just noticed that Todd is pretty hot.
Big Toddy boy and his wet lies.

I remember someone mentioning killing that guy in the blacksmith shop in Whiterun and that woman took over.

Sounds pretty obvious then to mod in the same thing to the other places. Then again, there are a lot of really obvious improvements to skyrim that nobody has bothered to even try modding because they'd rather spend efforts making new armors and bigger breasts
and Belethor and the kid who chops his wood, and the second sister at Radiant Raiment, etc
I think the point is this was supposed to be some kind of way to make it so you can kill people but still have some functionality instead of doing what oblivion did and making everyone invincible. Instead they still made everyone invincible and never really carried the above system through to all the shop keeps.

I'll never be able to figure out why they cut out that part of the radiant system but kept all the fetch quests.
and Belethor and the kid who chops his wood, and the second sister at Radiant Raiment, etc
Oh dear, there's some quality nexus modding to be done with that.
Fucking Nexus.. I can download it manually just fine but NMM doesn't feel like downloading it
Then download it manually and add it to the NMM manually.
I don't know about you guys but I always install my mods manually, I hate using NMM
I've switched to using Wyre [B|M]ash entirely - it's ridiculously robust, in that "computers are fucking-a" sense: with mod archives in pretty much any directory structure you'll find, you can build an ordering - and then assert and make sure they're installed in that order. Being able to purge anything in Data Files that isn't within the ordering of installers has saved my ass quite a few times as well - but it doesn't monopolize it; its mechanics just assume you'll want Wyre Bash mods to be installed last and over everything else.
hi everyone, just wanted your guys opinion on mods. I'm using sharpshooters ENB right now, but do you guys think there are other/better ENBs I could use?
Matso's are super well done and he has a variety of styles/options.
I don't know about you guys but I always install my mods manually, I hate using NMM
one single mistake and you're fucked. That's why.
one single mistake and you're fucked. That's why.
How do you make a mistake, though? It's copy and paste. I know there's some mods which don't come with an .ESP, so you need to fuck about manually removing textures files to uninstall, but that's rare enough for it to not be a concern for me. Besides, NMM always crashes when checking for updates when I try to use it.
I am finally doing what I should have done before. YES, I USE "LORE UNFRIENDLY" MODS. SUCK IT. Now, they aren't too far fetched (no cat girl ears, or lightsabers here), like replacing the Imperial Armor with Roman armor. I also have Flintlock Pistols, but IMO it isn't too far fetched with all the mages and alchemy that goes on you would think that eventually they would have discovered some sort of explosive material in their work and created a simple firearm based off of it. Phew, feels good to get that off of my chest. Though, my screenshot with my character in the Haytham Kenway robes probably gave it away...
I can't think of anything that's explosive in TES.
[del]fireballs[/del]
I can't think of anything that's explosive in TES.
Dwarven bolts can explode but I guess that is more of them enchanted to do so.
