So in Skyrim I've done this 'Ranger' Build, basically a warrior with light armor and one-hand weapons with a twist of stealth.
I'm only level 20 and I've been dumping points into shields, one-handed, some smithing and light armor. Is that even feasible? I'm pretty damn squishy...

I did it, hell yeah it's feasible.

But every now and then I'm finding myself fucking 'outgunned' beyond recognition. I fought a fire wizard that did me in with a single fire ball while I can strike down skeletons with a single blow from my fist. Not to mention when I was fighting forsworn briarhearts I have scarf down pots and food to sustain myself against any combat that involves two more enemies.
Light armor is a joke in Skyrim.
On a whim, I decided to give serious hunting a try. I'm actually having a lot of fun.

What difficulty are you playing on? Master does that to me no matter what I'm using.

It's on adept and my hero's level is actually 17 right now. I've barely brushed up on the main quest and I just met Delphine.
Also, I just managed to craft a whole set of Elven Armor for me and I just found this bad ass samurai-like blade that Ima keep and use for a bit.
I can't think of anything that's explosive in TES.
Dwemer Satchel packs from Tribunal Expansion.

Fine Thieve's Guild armour + the right perks kicks ass.
While we're at light armor, is it normal that it breaks almost immediately in Oblivion? My Light Raiment of Valor goes down to 0 durability after 1-3 hits.
Replaying TES IV has reminded me of how painful it is to close Oblivion gates. It's even worse than the MQ dragon attacks in Skyrim.
This is a commen misconception. You don't have to close all the gates, only two or three are needed to finish the main quest and after the main quest all remaining gates are automatically closed. The quest where you have to close the gates around each city is optional and can be skipped

It gets better once you level up light armor and automatically get perks to reduce light armor breaking.
Hehe... automatically get perks. I can't completely say whether or not I'm a fan of the perk system in Skyrim. I always thought leveling up a skill and suddenly advancing to the next level, where you unlock some mysterious new 'perk' was pretty awesome in Oblivion.

My skill in light armor is 97 at the moment, I already have had that perk since quite a long time.
I guess I'll just have to level up armorer to expert, so I can upgrade it to 125%.
Well I decided to just scrap my current game and remod. Before I tried to keep my save file working, but ended up spending too many hours debugging the problems when new games launched fine.
I want to start fresh and try out COT and RLO

I loved the Oblivion gates, how you'd never get the same ones in the same places in different play throughs.
Dragon attacks are just fucking dull though. I've started to just run away from them.
Skyrim's system:
Where you can have your Two handed weapon skill at a hundred, yet be weaker than someone with their two handed skill at novice level with a single perk.
The gates are a fucking chore, dragon attacks are dragon attacks
I find Dragon Attacks are just redundant. Even if they are strong Dragons it's just another Dragon Attack. Maybe if they did cool things during their attacks it'd be better but they don't. Most of the time you can't aggro them and they run off to kill a mud crab. They're more of a nuisance than anything, like pests.
Whenever I stumble upon a gate I just go on a marathon sprint up the tower to the sigil stone.
At least Morrowind didn't have any main quest-related bullshit that you had to fight.
Except DB assassins.
Does anyone have experience with installing any dragon overhaul mods in combination with Deadly Combat? I don't want to install a dragon mod that makes dragons super difficult and then be roflstomped by Deadly Combat and not even be able to fight dragons. But I still want dragons to be a challenge considering... y'know, they are fucking dragons.
All right guys, I have witnessed something absolutely horrifying when playing Shivering Isles. I was doing doing a quest where you have to find the mother/creator of Gatekeeper in Xaselm, when I found a body of someone called 'Test Subject'. Because I was very curious if I can talk to it, I revived it using console and then...

JESUS CHRIST, THIS THING'S MOUTH ISN'T EVEN MOVING WHILE TALKING
thats weird
I tried to resurrect a mutant test subject in fo3 once and it didnt work

Also Ash Ghouls/Slaves/or whoever they were which attack in sleep.
Also Ash Ghouls/Slaves/or whoever they were which attack in sleep.
But those are fairly easy and require little effort.

Especially when they swoop down on you in an area where they can't land...
Just started playing Skyrim again, and I do not remember what mods are included in it anymore. Just glazed through making sure everything's updated and went ahead to make my Nord.

What mod did you use, I want to get rid of the blocky fucking vanilla faces.
[editline]22nd June 2013[/editline]
Without using some stupid fucking plastic surgery, make-up edgy bitch face that doesn't fit in with the harsh, bitter, and unforgiving land that is Skyrim.

This looks promising

The 2 main combat overhaul mods work just fine together, but to be perfectly honest with you, I barely noticed a difference.
because it was never supposed to be a creature, only a dead body
Neither was a Test Subject. And look what did it lead into. Unless it was only a physics object.

I wonder if this beats EEO (Ethereal Elven Overhaul - the only non kawaisa Elf overhaul mod I found)...
...Yes, yes it does.
