They could also censor it in the trailer and keep it untouched in-game.

Especially if the spoken content has sexual connotation or references to it. They either change the clothing, the age or both.
There will be a change I am sure of it. Softening the context could also be an option.

I used beach as an example, a better example would be desert because there is one in this game.
And I'm pretty sure that at least 50% of people would take their shirt off after being in the middle of one for more than 30 minutes.

Also it doesn't change monsters/aliens trying to shoot you full of holes and she's supposed to be the tank character. It literally makes no sense even in universe.

My view is that in this video game there is a 13 year old character in a shitty looking bikini solely because fanservice has to be in the game. I'm sure those virtual characters are sweating up a storm at all times, that's a good reason.
It's about as good as Nowi dressed the way she is in Fire Emblem Awakening because no guys, I'm really 1000 years old.
"She might be hot you can't judge" is such a dumb excuse.
You know the only reason she can wear it is because all characters can wear anything, that equipment wasn't made to sexualize that underage character.
And really, I've seen girls around that age in skimpy outfits like that on the beach, it's really not as uncommon as you think it is. And you can say that you think that it's wrong and you may have some points, but that is just the reality

I kinda' dislike stuff like this, I mean I guess I tend to prefer characters looking cool instead of sexy, and it gets really fuckin' weird when you put it on characters that young...
If it has a rational explanation I'd still not like it but I'd just shrug it off for the most part.
The fact she's drafted as a military expert who's going out to fight wild life to the death and not just enjoy a day at the beach with her friends just makes it absurd and absolutely terrible.
Once again, it's up to the localization team to decide what to do with these kinds of outfits.
There will be tons of armors to chose from. Up to the player's discretion to put on what he wants on who he wants.

It's not just the age thing for me, it's the fact that she's clearly a child. Like it's groan worthy enough but this is taking it a step too far- it's why I referred to Nowi who dresses like a slut (Pardon the language, it's honestly the only word I can think of to describe it) with the excuse of "I'm a thousand years old so it's okay."
Even though her like teenage daughter looks JUST like her.

I noticed that it's a bit of a play on a theme that can be heard earlier, I think that some of the first videos of the start of the game have it when the whole panorama of the landscape is revealed for the first time.

For those interested, GameXplain released a [URL="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6bLj1VR01G8"]Character Creation tour video[/URL].
Even the music of the creation menu is dope. And there a very big library of options to chose from.
Japanese is definitely not their native language and maybe a member or two might have a basis.
In a way, it lets us found stuff that they missed on our own.
Normally I wouldn't post this but the [URL="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8E87_oOSX3E"]latest episode[/URL] of chuggaaconroy's Xenoblade is pretty interesting, it's about some unused data that was left in the game. I knew there was a Bionis Shoulder area in the game but I had actually never seen good video footage of it.
Hey so I said I'd do first impression stuff, keep in mind my japanese is super bad so I didn't get a full grasp of everything
That being said this game is a dream. I honestly can't use a better word to describe it and this post may descend into me just rambling about the setting and well... if that's the case whoops. I didn't get to really mess with the character creator as it was just playing my friends file but he wasn't terribly far in. Mira looks outstanding and my combat is pretty limited at first for obvious reasons so I feel like I'd be wasting time with it- I will say part of me likes the new colors for the skills to denote them but I had a rough time telling them apart as I was more used to Shulk's "swords tilted at various degrees" at this point.
The entire first area feels like Guar Plains 2.0, not in how it looks but in how amazing it felt just to be there. Anyone who played XC knows about Territorial Rotbert or whatever that jerkass's name is and it felt like that with monsters of various levels littered everywhere. It's one thing I enjoyed in Xenoblade and I'm glad is still around- it's not just the typical slime monsters and level 1 goblin deal outside the front gate. It's fucking dangerous out there. It's great and at one point me and my friend decided we're just going to start running and see where we end up- and even though the setting changed (we had found a cavern system) it kept that level variety so there were things we could do if we were careful. This is the first time in a long time I've just wanted to explore a game's world. It's great and it helps the creature design is on point. (We found some kind of giant dog with huge ears, it owns.)
Music wise... I'm still not a big fan of the battle theme but battles tended to be over before the lyrics started so it wasn't that big of a deal. Lynlee has more fetish-y outfits then that dumb metal bra so... really really not a fan of her. Pretty big thing that I can't say I'm happy with (obviously).
Oh oh oh also [i]you can customize the entire HUD[/i]. I don't know if this is common knowledge but you can turn off the minimap, arrows, whatever and just have a blank ass screen while running around. You get super lost easy as hell but it's awesome.
Man I dunno what else to say, I only played it for a little bit and I'm now debating on if I want to play more or just wait but it's really really cool outside of Lynlee being the worst.
