Xenoblade Chronicles X - Games

Man, this game is super fun so far. I really like the Single/Multiplayer ish mission thing they went with. Really makes the Single-player not seem as lonely, yet not as cluster-fucky as a MMO. Though grinding quests, levels, and exploration for quest progression is weird. Gives me a Freedom Wars vibe, which isn't necessarily bad.

Really minor gripe but I'm bothered that Tatsu doesn't have the same speech patterns that Riki and the others had. Like they started it and went you know what lets dial it back. I liked having dumb shit like hom-homs and bitey and the weird little rhymes and stuff

Honestly I'm really enjoying this game so far. I haven't even really made too much of an attempt to move the story in my game yet because I want to be able to see some of the affinity quests, and the side-quests give a you a good excuse to just go look around and explore. It's not the same as the first Xenoblade, but I don't think this game even needs to be. Only thing that really bothers me is when I'm fighting an enemy around my level and a larger enemy just comes and one shots me, but it isn't like death is a big deal in this game.

It kind of annoys me how when you create a character, hair is tied to which facial preset you select. What an odd design decision. Other than that, the character creator was serviceable enough. What did you guys select for your voices? I went with male Rebel.

My japanese character was a dude so I went with a girl this time. Using Fiora's voice because it feels strange otherwise

I feel like getting a Wii-U to play this since I love mecha and the previous installment But I don't know If I wanna drop the dosh on a console that might be replaced by next year

I feel like I'm doing something wrong. Everything is kicking my ass or just taking forever to kill. Was okay at first, but now at level 18ish even a single enemy just 2 levels above me is just laying waste to my party.

Have you made sure to upgrade arts, choose skills, and keep your gear up to date? Have you figured out the Soul Voice system yet? I was kind of struggling until I got the hang of that, because it's the primary method of healing and extra damage.

How long until Skell acquired? I'm on Chapter 4. Also, wandered into Oblivia by accident, that place looked awesome.

I was thinking of getting this game for Christmas but i have a question about online play, how do you start it up? in case i am in the mood for it? and do i really need those data packs on the eshop?

Jeezus, I keep getting Territorial Rotbarted during Affinity/Character Quest boss fights. Out of fucking nowhere too, especially in Oblivia. Also why are item locations so vague? I spent like an hour on Primordia trying to find rare Acorn Abacuses only to find that they're on the northern part near the Armlet Bridge or whatever it's called. Is there a function I'm missing that let's me see the general area of an item? Cause the Collectopedia doesn't do that. The game is still great, but the gamepad's map functionality could be a little more user friendly for certain things.

Aw yis, Got a tank Skell, at level 30 it has a weapon that does 24k damage as a non crit, shits powerful yo.

I finally got my Flight Module. I farmed those Orc Something or other for like an hour before checking the Rewards Console for those Upgraded Coils. ProTip: ALWAYS CHECK THE REWARDS CONSOLE.

Bought a Wii-u on Amazon for $250 then got this, its on back order so it won't be here till around the 24th. Hopefully it will be worth the wait
