I don't understand how this land is set up at all, there are completely regular leveled places separated by random 10+ level higher zones adjacent to one another, there is no logical flow to where I can and cannot go?
Yeah, while it may give it this feeling that world existed before you and so you have things that are supposed to be strong and more organic, it overall just feels a bit of a mess with the difficulty scatter. I mean, I think there are enemies around like 10-20 in Cauldros, which I don't think you can actually even reach until late in the game when you are passed 30.
You can get to Sylavlum and Cauldros the moment you gain free control, though. You have to dodge enemies and swim for a bit but it's entirely possible.
Thought you had to have to flight module to be able to actually reach Cauldros.
There's shores on the side of Cauldros that you can climb out of the water and the part that connects Sylvalum to Cauldros doesn't require a flight pack to reach either. I mean, I don't see any reason why you'd need to fly.
Nope, get those legs movin
So the Commander is just the Hulkster right?
dunno about that but you can definitely bite his shiny metal ass
Just met the Ma-Non. What the fuck were the localization team doing when they decided that they should be Alvin and the Chipmunks?

Apparently, yeah. The Japanese love Hulk Hogan, since he got his career started in Japan. Dickson from Chronicles is pretty Hoganesque as well.
A shame Vandham isn't a usable character, but I guess the class system wouldn't allow him to do chokeslams on tyrants, and Hulk Hogan using a machine just isn't the same.
So I was doing great with the story stuff, staying on or slightly ahead of the curve. I get to 40, Mission 10 has basically no requirements, so I figure "Ok, this will be simple, lets get it out of the way."
Yeah, no, what the fuck kind of spike is that?

I think L is my favorite party member.
Uhhhh, okay, I double what I said before, exploring Noctilum requires, at one point to progress, running through the lower chokepoint from one area of level 20's to another has only one route, filled with enemies up to ten levels higher which you basically have to run from with them stacking up, only to come out the other side where it has a full spread of leveled enemies.

I had a hell of a time trying to get past Chapter 10. What I found helps is getting everyone into a Heavy Skell because the extra HP really helps, also [sp]shoot the dishes off of it.[/sp]
What did you guys name your skells?
I have 2, an Urban and an Amdusias. They're named Mandjet and Mesektet respectively. [sp]A+ history/mythology knowledge if you know what these are btw.[/sp]

This was literally in the first paragraph of the Egyptian portion of my history studies last year.
What for reals, that's awesome.

Yeah surprisingly my introduction to General History went really in-depth to the religions of the Sumerians, Egyptians, and Assyrians.
Wow, woow there is some bullshit in a few encounters where, if a teammate is revived at the end of the fight, the immediately following boss can instantly kill them.
that's because reviving a party member doesn't put them at full health

Fun fact, they sound like that in Japanese too, it's not the localization team.
Hmm, I'm really liking the game so far, but there are bizarre choices that feel... amateurish? Like enemies being able to hit you when you're miles away running from them, or getting aggro from enemies that you're ten levels higher than.
For the 10 levels higher thing the only enemies that do that randomly are the spiderbutt ones I think. The rest only get mad if you hit certain triggers like running them over in a skell/stepping on them or a baby pig will get pissed if you attack the mother etc

If you actually look at them when you're running away they do ranged attacks. There's also markers above enemies that will attack you if they see you
i'm willing to admit that the range of melee and ranged attacks seems really out of proportion.
Just reached Sylvalum, [sp]Genuinely wasn't expecting to enter bizarro land[/sp]
Reminder that Sylvalum is a no-skell zone, please exit your skell if you see Xe-dom to ensure your stay here is peaceful.

Thank you for your cooperation.
Is it because when I was in my Skell, literally everything wanted to kill me?
Rule of thumb is that in a skell small fry will see you as a scary beast and won't fuck with you out of fear
Previously peaceful things that didn't see you a a threat now do and will take you out.
Also, where the fuck is Alexa? She's necessary for one of my quests, but no matter the time of day, she won't show up in the Outfitter hangar
