Go to the Mason's workshop, construct a stone slab - one for each ghost. Once they're done, engrave one each for each individual ghost at the Craftsdwarf's workshop. Then construct them somewhere, and the ghosts will be put to rest.

There's no rush. I doubt anyone even really checks the op anymore
Started as an outsider in a house filled with stacked Humans. Annoyed at my poor FPS, I slaughtered them all and set off north.
Of course I was ambushed by bandits. I almost got a hit in when about twelve of them shot their bolts at once. I fell over on my knees in pain and managed to stumble back up and slash one of the bandit's throats with my knife, then stabbed another in the face with my spear, then they fired again at once and the Human pincushion died.

DF2014 includes pulping. Hit it a few times and it'll die from being turned into an unrecognizable mass.

Just leave it there and create a memorial. I mean, you can do that, right?
when did 'Knife User' get removed ??
now that we have a cool stealth system being an assassin would be so much fun
i'm not quite feelin' the short swords
knife user did not get removed, it is still accessible in arena mode when creating creatures

In a time before time, I killed me.
I really wish the names of dwarves for slab engraving would disappear or be put at the bottom of the list, it really makes dealing with ghosts hard when I have to scroll this entire fucking list of bullshit.
40.03 is being made atm, here are the first 4 fixed bugs so far:
- 0006792: [Adventure Mode -- Retirement] Using a retired adventurer spawns a clone (Toady One) - resolved.
- 0006696: [Adventure Mode -- Retirement] Unretiring adventurer causes character to be stuck inside rock (Toady One) - resolved.
- 0006562: [Dwarf Mode -- Interface, Farm Plots] Selecting a season in a farm plot does nothing (Toady One) - resolved.
- 0006995: [Adventure Mode -- Character Creation] Crash in adventure mode on dead world after trying to create 3rd adventurer (Toady One) - resolved.
Nothing major but there will be more.

Just started my first df2014 fortress
Within the first few minutes a dwarf died, I'm still not sure about what happened. He was just hanging out near the river and then this popped up

Jefmajor is streaming the new update!
http://www.twitch.tv/jefmajor
The detail in this game is impeccable. My turkeys are infested with lice. They've got short trails of single louses behind them. I don't think it can spread though, since nothing else has lice, and they have been rubbing up on everything else living in the fortress in the meeting hall.
my dwarves keep getting horrified by dead bodies
you'd think they'd toughen up after a while
Since I updated my dwarves no longer seem to venture inside the newly dug fort or do much of anything on their own accord. I built a custom stockpile that should have held all the stuff in the wagon, but nobody moved anything in. Only the miners dared to go in.
I made the entire fort into a burrow, and that let them start to go in more frequently, but they still don't touch the stockpile.
Is this just a default setting that got changed, or is there a new step/one I forgot?

only in DF is the game's response to you reopening an old save file to encase your character in solid rock
I saw a lone, crippled goblin and decided to have a bit of a torture fest on him. I gouged his eyes, snapped his leg, and t- OH FUCK, he stabbed me in the guts and now he's strangling me to death.

I can't stop laughing. DF bugs are hilarious sometimes.
my speardwarves literally just sparred through a solid wall
