FB soap can carry syndromes if you aren't careful.
Also is 150 hammer strikes too much for a vampire?
What sort of hammer are we talking about?
150 of candy might be fine, 150 of steel will be painful.
150 of silver to be sure. Undead fucks.
I had a vampire kill my favorite noble. His obsession was quivers and he was easy to please with a wooden house. He dealt with like three jobs. Since then I've hated the bastards.

Masterwork silver warhammer.
I just realized the source of my FPS problem.
I have 800 bars of iron and 600 bars of coke....

God damned magnetite

I mean what the fuck

am I supposed to do with this
[sp]The answer is make a giant above ground fortress[/sp]
[editline]31st July 2013[/editline]
Hell at this point every citizen in my fort has a set of iron armor and the military has full sets of steel
I got a posessed dwarf, and it demands quite a lot of stuff. He wants cloth, thread, metal bars, stone rocks and shiny gems. I got all of them lying around but he isn't grabbing the stuff, although I am unsure about if I got thread as it seems my loom turns all thread into cloth right away.
[editline]31st July 2013[/editline]
I got thread as well stored in a bin, so I have no clue what the idiot wants :v:
[editline]31st July 2013[/editline]
it seems they demand bone stacks instead of just bones, but how exactly do you create bone stacks? I got plenty of bones of the same kind in my refuse stockpile, but they are all seperate
I just got a possessed dwarf too, except I have no idea what she wants. Her skills show up as Cook, Herbalist and Spinner. What kind of workshop should I build?
Elves are going to be pissed when they send their diplomat (I use the fix diplomats plugin). I have cut down almost every tree on the map.

Try making a craftsdwarfs workshop if you haven't already. That's the most commonly claimed workshop.

Also if you haven't already checked, there is a difference between cloth materials too. As far as I know cloth can mean either yarn, silk or fiber, and the possessed dwarf will only take one of the types.(which is why I always keep one unit of different cloth types at hand at all times.)

To his credit he got hit by the silver warhammer for three pages before dying.
- The Apothecary can lobotomize dwarves. You need a spring-steel precision tool for this, which is preserved. Skill:Surgery.*
- *Lobotomizing a dwarf will reduce his speed by 20%, set all mental stats to 1, removes trances and likes fighting, and adds nopain, nofear and noemotion. No Emotion is especially important, it means the dwarf will never be unhappy. Or happy. A perfectly willing citizen, albeit a bit zombie-like. She/he will have a (lobotomized) behind their name.
i now have a reason to play DF again
I'm in
Just have a couple of dwarves to do the important jobs, and have the rest as lobotomized drones.
Would anyone be up for an FP succession game? I'd be willing to organize it.
Succession games never work for me, but I love reading them
I'd love a succession game. Should we have some sort of theme for it?

Maybe make a mechanical fortress? Tons of infinite-waterwheel generators and minecart mania and all that stuff.

Maybe each of us will have to make one overly complex trap to complete our turn?
We had one before, it was pretty cool but I think it suffered from poor writing in a lot of parts. If you want to make one for people to read then you have to actually be good at writing and make things interesting rather than just reporting what you do.
On the other hand it's pretty fun just to play in a world that has a history among other players so you could just report on what you do and make it something more for the players than anyone who might like to read it.

Oh and it looks like there was a second one after that which didn't get off the ground
I'm to blame for the second one
that failing was entirely my fault, sorry bout that
Should we start in a haunted biome?
Haunted biome works. Make sure it has flux and coal though.
Haunted biome works. Make sure it has flux and coal though.
How can I check if it has coal?
How can I check if it has coal?
Run dfprospect from DFhack.
Run dfprospect from DFhack.
Oh fie I was hoping not to have to do that. Oh well, off to generate our world!
Make sure the mineral abundance is around 500 to insure that Flux is actually generated.
All this stuff is more advanced than I know how to do :v:

We have a world
I might be interested in joining as well but I feel that I'm just going to do unintentionally bad to the fortress :(

That's the fun of Succession games
Exactly. So lets get a turn list up then.
I'm assuming Trekintosh is going first, correct?
