Stonesense is really cool and all, but once you get a hang of the tileset you're using(i use Phoebus) you really don't need it, it's just in the way and you don't control anything form there.
It would be cool to have if you had multiple monitors. Put Stonesense on the side one and leave DF on the main one.
Yeah that would work really well I think. [editline]27th October 2013[/editline] My tame ram starved to death.. Can animals walk up and down stairs?
Ah okay, thanks for all the help guys.
I had to end my adventure game. Makes "sense" I guess.
Does that fallout mod have a legends mode? I might just be stupid because I haven't played dwarf fortress in a while, but it'd be interesting to see. I just can't seem to find a way to access legends mode. Sorry if stupid.
Fallout mod, goddamn. I need to read this thread more thoroughly. I'm installing it immediately.
My tame ram starved to death.. Can animals walk up and down stairs?
Herbivores won't eat except the squares they happen to be standing on. So it doesn't matter if they can reach grass, what matters is if there's grass where they're at. Animals are pretty dumb. Also yes.
[t]http://puu.sh/514F8.png[/t] nope
[t]http://puu.sh/514F8.png[/t] nope
So... a very fat elephant bird with bad breath?

If you have no idle dwarves to move them, they'll just wander around and be retarded.

SERIOUSLY? YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME... I have a surplus of children. I'm ready to start hiring goblin snatchers that this point. 38 babies 11 children and the numbers just keep on growing.

Okay Scott. You're gonna do this. Gonna drop your Osu!, your Space Engineers, Skyrim and your RuneScape. This afternoon you WILL play Dwarf Fortress and you WILL have fun. If anyone sees me playing anything else on Steam, say "Scotty, you must play Dwarf Fortress!!!" Deal?

Deal?
glhf For some reason in my latest fort (which I had to abandon), I couldn't get any seeds from any outside plants, at all. Even if brewed or eaten. I built an square outside, with walls, and the only way to get in was through staircases. There I had my pens/pastures, and I was thinking of having an outside farm, walled in for security. But the outside farm plots just said that there is no seeds for the season (on all of them). Anybody know why?
Use it in the next party.
It's almost like he planned it.
If I were to end up getting an Artifact, say, steel sword, how would it be better than a normal steel sword?
