I played through some destiny today, first time playing it, and I was going through with a friend of mine.
I'm being a gunslinger hunter, and hand cannons are fun as fuck. Currently around level 14 or 15. this game is honestly better than I expected! :speedfap:
Really can't wait to see some of the endgame content.
My 4 non-shard raid drops were all lower light dupes of the gear I already have (fusion rifle, shotgun, gauntlets, sash). Have over 20 moldering shards and Oryx just dropped a sash and more shards
So, in regards to Exotic drops and whatnot, they can only randomly drop from Raids and Crucible stuff and whatnot once you're high enough level to use them, right? (40?)
Or are they just super rare?

In my experience they don't really drop, unless you use the three of coins. I could just be the unluckiest person in existence though, I'm not really sure.
I imagine it must be possible for them to just drop though, otherwise it wouldn't make sense. Good luck though. :v:
They can drop from the Nightfall reward screen too though.
Got a full set of raid gear. Looks like a meat suit

They drop from raids too. Haven't seen many from the kings fall though

Do Classic 6v6.
It's full of people about level 12, who don't have the DLC and are usually pretty terrible at the game.
I got the 25 sword kills in two games, averaging a 2.1k/d.

They can drop from enemies, I've seen it happen with my friend. They can be acquired during the Nightfall and the Crucible too. You can also use an item which is called the Three of Coins to significantly boost the drop rate against ultras (boss enemies) and you can also purchase exotics from the Santa of Destiny, Xur. He comes every Friday.
Exotic engrams cannot drop from random enemies, only ultras when using 3 of coins.

Agreed, because as far as I'm aware it's not possible and this argument is going nowhere without the proof.
Just got the LE. Everything is wonderful & the world is right.
I'm not going to his account and scrolling down to two weeks ago to find it, if you don't believe me that's fine. I wouldn't lie about this, I saw it happen with my own eyes
