Day 3 of me playing Destiny, almost level 40, around level 37 as I type.
Hunter gunslinger is really fun in late game, I picked up the helmet from Xur. Can't wait to see how the golden gun is with the 1 shot doing shittons of damage!
Still haven't found any legendary or exotic weapons/armor. :(
Taken King DLC is really fucking fun by the way.
Most of my fun is from doing the random bounties and faction quests to be honest, it feels like a much more laid back way to play the game, just kill things and get rewards for doing it. I enjoy it a lot, and hopefully I don't get burnt out on the game soon!
My friend has been with me the entire time, we have pretty much the same exact experience since day 1, it's been really fun.

Reputation packages from ranking up factions; they net 5 every time (as far as I've seen, atleast). Also Prison of elders can sometimes give a pretty good return of strange coins in those 2 smaller final chests (but I only ever do PoE now when I have keys)
Vanguard strikes for coins on the loot page, and decrypting blue engrams for the chance of strange coins

I should have just bought 10 more coins. I took a chance with the helmet engram and got a second Obsidian Mind that rolled at the exact same light level as the one I already have (that I got from an engram through 3oC)

Vanguard Strikes are pretty good. you have a chance of getting them from the endgame screen, the engrams you get, and are guaranteed 5 coins per level up from a vendor (and strikes are great for leveling up Vanguard/faction/Cryptarch)

I got my first exotic from Xür and it was probably a mistake as it is a Level 40 helmet that I can't use because I don't got any of the DLC/Expansions. :suicide:

I have the Sealed Ahamkara Grasps which give me double melee charge, tier 3 strength + the stat boost from holding an orb is just enough to infinitely smoke grenade invis myself with Vanish in Smoke equipped, I fucking love doing it at literally every opportunity. Should i use the Celestial Nighthawk or use Young Ahamkara's spine
for those who don't know, they are hunter gunslinger exotics:
Celestial Nighthawk - Golden Gun only has a single shot, but does 6x the damage and keyhole for overpenetration.
Young Ahamkara's spine - Increases how long a tripmine can last and gives you another tripmine charge so you can throw two grenades instantly

I play Nightstalker so I'm not the best authority on it, but I've heard the Celestial is FANTASTIC for Oryx, I use Ahamkara personally but that's for smoke nades, not sure how useful tripmines are for you.

well my disipline is tier 5 which means i chuck a grenade out every 25 seconds so the spine is useful for two charges.
though if i lvl up my intellect i can probably get godtier goldengun manuvers with nighthawk

Telesto is insane with the bow tether that shares damage between all targets, just fire the super and 1 burst of Telesto and generate like 15 orbs + kill every single mob or come very close on the big guys.
LMAO I just got a Hung Jury in a Dead Orbit pack. It's perks aren't as good as the one you can buy imo but that's still funny as shit to me.

I didn't think you could get a level 3 rewards for hitting level 2. I thought that was funny.
