What's this talk about no raid in House of Wolves?
WTF does the dlc even add then?
New weapons, maps, story, upgrades, and an entire new game mode... But yeah... No raid

My buddy can solo up to crota, but apparently its not possible to bring crota down solo anymore. Two gjaly shots don't bring him to his knees.

Matchmaking for raids would be frustrating af

They could make it have a requirement for matchmade raids. Like complete the raid 10 times before you can join matchmade raids, then you'd either end up with people who got Sherpa'd through and people who know what they're doing.

I think the way of doing it now is fine. You can kick out the people you don't want in your game before you even start and with DestinyLFG you can specify what you expect from players looking to join. Makes it pretty simple, to be honest
I just think the game itself needs some sort of LFG integration. The social aspects of this game are too externalized.
So is there a general accepted best class? Or is it more a certain classes excel more in raids or clashes with weaknesses in the other?
Nope. Everyone has different playstyles and it's better to just figure out what works best for you. There are definitely preferred builds for all the classes and subclasses for different activities, but a lot of the people who are vehement that certain classes need to play certain roles in raids aren't playing the game right.

i'd say that hunter (specifically the gunslinger subclass) caters to a slightly higher degree of skill.
titan on the other hand is the 'die less' class overall.
