Farmed about 30 of the Ether Chests, got nothing but blues.
My friend opened 5 and got 3 legendaries and 2 keys. Wot.
just finished all the story missions available and reached the max level in the demo. definitely enjoying myself, but I can see how this game could be a lot more fun with someone to play with. too bad no one I know have a PS4

feels a little grindy though which has been bearable up to this point, but knowing myself I'll quickly burn myself out on it if I were to buy the game
Send help, vault and inventory of all 3 chars is full of engrams.
welp, I bought it. at $81 it better be worth it.
what does the expansions add by the way, or the expansion that's out at least? is it worth it to pcik it up early or do the expansion just add a few new missions, making it safe to pick up later in the game?

Both of the expansions add new end game missions/raids/strikes/PVP stuff, along with a bunch of new gear.
I downloaded 3GB of patches just to remember why I stopped playing in the first place.

Here's a tip: House of wolves is the better dlc of the two, seriously don't go for the necrochasm if you aren't trying to get every exotic weapon, they killed the auto rifle's to oblivion and many people want them to be useful again
Necrochasm is the worst type of auto rifle on top of them being nerfed. No one likes bullet hoses lol

So I just got back to destiny after a long time and I was checking out all the changes they added. I noticed they added a colorblind option so I turned it on just because new colors for things are neat. After a while I started doing the bounties for the queen and when I opened the chest at the End, I noticed I found a brown quality item. For a second I thought I just found a new rare quality, until I realized, colorblind mode tricked me.
Btw the bosses are really quite easy if you manage to not use the cannons till he arrives.

10 chests later, still no key.
I gotta hand it to them, they know how to reel them in.
All this stuff being added in House of Wolves has revitalized my interest in this game.
ffs just decoded a legendary shotgun from rare engram and it's the same shotgun I already own and upgraded. This game hates me.
I have a bunch of rare engrams I can't decrypt. What's up with that?

I guess you can decrypt them on new HoW hub area.
I was thinking maybe they're HoW items but that seems too hopeful. It seems more likely they're just bugged :v:

They are HoW engrams. Engrams from the Ether Chests are part of HoW and you can't open them till tomorrow.

Get on salvage today for a chance at new HoW weapons.

Great, Queens Wrath bounties have reset. Meaning that the invitation you get for doing all 6 of them is gone if you didn't collect it.
It should have reset 24 hours after giving it to us, not 14.
Shit I didn't get the last one on my warlock. Got it on my Titan though. :\
