the Facepunch link doesn't play well with my profile, but my GT is "An Elevator13"
also 9th raid was the charm, finally got some 304 raid boots from Golgoroth :^)

I got three gloves the week prior when j needed boots desperately and I was blessed with 309 boots from oryx moldering shard drop :v:
My only raid gear is boots at 307. I've done the raid for three weeks now.
If I don't get something else this week I think I am just going to give up and level my Titan.

No shit, hence the "jerking off"-part. :v:
So who wants to settup an attempt at hard mode KF tomorrow/this weekend on ps4? I'll be getting my touch of malice today finally after grinding out the fragments last night. Probably be 303 light but might be able to get up to 304. It's 310 recommended light but it will still be 300-320 for the raid and probably 310-320 for the last sections
I'll be praying that I get gear that brings me up before the harder 310-320 sections.
I'd be down for that.
I'm also looking for anyone to complete the Nightfall with, from what I've been reading it's the best chance so far to get the Flayers' cloaks, and I'd like to test out the new loot table for nightfalls.
I thought PvP multiplayer was balanced, after a long time not playing this game, oh man sure was terrible. with a light of 230 VS players above the light 300.
Who thought that was an good idea!
Something is not right.
except light level doesn't mean anything outside of iron banner and trials of osiris (which aren't available right now)
light level doesn't affect pvp outside of the special events
light level doesn't affect pvp outside of the special events
What about better guns vs weaker guns? I am sure i need to take more shots to kill than a high leveled player. Like i have a rifle that is 130, and he got the same rifle but is 200.
actually year 1 weapons are generally stronger than year 2 weapons in terms of raw stats and perks so you're actually at an advantage if you're using them
like has already been stated, weapon and armour power levels mean nothing outside of Iron Banner/Trials of Osiris

Guns affect light the same as gear does. So the damage numbers means nothing in non-special PVP Crucible. You can use year 1 exotics as well as year 2 exotics at the same efficiency in PvP without having to worry about light. But ofcourse a big difference is just having a good gun. MIDA Multi-tool still is pretty killer in PvP and it's a weak year 1 exotic in PvE now
Both of the new xbone players should add me. I'll be back online on Monday to return the favor. But I'm pretty good at getting pve stuff done

pulling to this page for interest:
So far:
-Me
-Bugga12
I'm interested and I have a friend who isn't on FP who is too
I'd be up for the hard raid tomorrow on ps4.
I'm fine with beating my head against hardmode on ps4 I guess, but I won't be available until like 4:00CST

You say that 1 year weapons are stronger than year 2 weapons. There is a difference then.
So this means yes, it it is unbalanced. But not that the light or the armor or the damage is affected when joining a crucible match.

So, again, there is a difference in it.
yes there is a difference in weapon strength, of course there is, the game would be pretty boring if all guns felt identical, this is an aspect of almost every single competitive shooter
however, the difference is nothing like you thought it was, where you were being killed by people with higher light level weapons
they were just better than you
even in ib I usually topped out higher light people, if you know what you're doing your deaths are generally because you fucked up or because you got ganged up on rather than stats

It certainly helps to know what you're doing in IB. And know the maps. I had never touched PvP until that event because there was a bond that I wanted. So going into it with a light of 220 with no knowledge of anything PvP was one of the most frustrating experiences I've had in Destiny to date. Got my bond though.
If you want to talk about how unbalanced the PvP scene in this game can be, you should've been here a few months ago when Thorn could two shot to the head and Final Round on mid and high impact snipers could one shot to the body.

yeah, I got my ass kicked the first round or two on the newer maps. Didn't end up getting anything other than blue gear out of IB actually, kinda lame
Don't forget the "Shotsnipers" with rangefinder and shot package.
On that note, I really liked last week's IB except for a few cases of the matchmaking system being dumb, as usual. (Putting me on the losing team with 15 seconds to go or so, well done Bungie)

It isn't unbalanced though. If you're looking for the guns to all be copies of each other then you're in the wrong game.
Otherwise the weapons in PvP, both year 1 and year 2 are good/bad dependant by what the perks are on it and your personal skill. Of those two I'd say the skill portion is 95% of it because even if your opponent has a good gun you can still wreck them if you know what to do

They might be better than me, maybe. But if we are in it, what about weapon upgrades, armor upgrades, other progresses you are doing with the suit or weapon? Do they affect too in the crucible? All the weapons aren't the same and have their own upgrades that you can upgrade with. For example, faster reloading. Isn't this stating to be unfair at the point if i can't upgrade my weapon yet?

So just go out there, find good guns and armor and upgrade them, then. The PvP meta in this game does have some inherent issues but the situation isn't nearly as dire as you're making it out to be.
Yes a legendary is going to be better than a green perk wise, but a green, or white (khvostov) will still be usable

It's not like they have an increase in damage or anything man. If your in a firefight with someone, regardless what weapon you or they have, the firing rate/damage ratio is equal for every weapon.
I don't get why you'd think a default pvp mode would make the higher level dudes stomp on the lower level players (intentionally anyway).
