Stormcaller is fun.

Imo Stormcaller is far and away the best of the three, or at the very least the most fun.
Sunsinger is fucking boring as sin in PvP until you get double grenade/double melee.
Sunsinger is fucking boring as sin in PvP until you get double grenade/double melee.
If you're not playing sunsinger with max discipline, using firebolts, and running touch of flame and viking funeral, you're doing it wrong.
So I'm leveling Nightstalker and my first Shadowshot in PvP was to dodge a hammer from a Sunbreaker and purge his ultie and then gun his ass down. It got me fully erect.

Fusion are way more satisfying. Any sticky grenade is super fun. I've done some stupid ass grenades that stick someone anyway.
Went on a bunch of Strikes with my sister and her boyfriend, also managed to make it through my first few heroics and a Nightfall, jumped from 250 to 279, so i'm pretty happy about that. Got a really good Treads Upon Stars and a few exotics, like Light Beyond Nemesis, which'll really help considering we tend to die a lot :v:
Against all odds I completed the Imprecation quest for The First Curse in one Inferno Rumble match. Had the thing for less than two hours. Pretty sure getting seven headshots in a row in PvE took longer. :v: Now to wait until next week for my shitty hand cannon mk2.

Sunsinger is good for raid and that's about it. Self-rez and the melee are some of the only reasons it's viable PvE.
Stormtrancw with blink is a fucking blast because they can't hit you.
Anyone stupid enough to level void walker either leveled it pre-TTK or doesn't want a good warlock
[editline]4th November 2015[/editline]
Also sunsinger is fun pvp if you have on the gloves that give an extra grenade and the skill for it as well. Throwing a grenade every 3 seconds is hilarious
Voidwalker is a good spec but it lacks good exotics. Dire Skull is the best it has right now and that was only available from Xur for two days. I hope they make Nothing Manacles available soon, there are 310 ones in the loot table.

You're thinking of the chest piece and you don't get three grenades from it. Max is two. At least now it is.

Sunsinger is one of the best orb generators in PvE. With Tlaloc, it's incredible for both PvE and PvP.
Voidwalker is one of the best classes for PvP.

voidfang pvp?
voidfang pvp?
I've started running a Dire Ahamkara build for my voidwalker since that y2 version came out. Coupled with max grenade regen and embrace the void. Holy shit I feel like I'm getting nades as fast as sunsinger. Plus with the helmet on I can tank a rocket or a sunbreaker hammer while doing the super animation + the basically free perk of the Hunger that you get from the helmet too.
I tanked a rocket the other day after killing a guy who took heavy and then camped out the other heavy ammo spawn and waited for me to come. I died to him and he picked up ammo for his raid rocket launcher. I met him in the middle of the map cause I know he wanted me dead for being the only other warlock in the game and that I killed him immediately after picking up heavy the 1st time. I just ran right up to him like 10 meters away and start my super animation, the rocket hits at my goddamn feet and it only took 3/4 of my health. The guy dies and quits the game right before it ended :why:
(it is worth noting that I had max armor void on my chest piece, but I think the dire ahamkara still saved me from dying to the rocket)

A review of warlock subclasses from someone who plays 3 warlocks.
It's subjective and based off of how I play and what I've seen others do.
Nova bomb is ok in PVP but Stormtrancw does a better job, yet Self-rez brings more reliability to PvE play as you have a second chance. There are variations in exotics and skills you can use to make each class work fine but each subclass is better at doing specific things than the other two.
In my experience it's -
Void: PvP class
Sunsinger: PvE (specifically raid) class
Stormbringer: Balanced mix between PvP and PvE but less common in rids

There is a skill for an extra grenade, equipped with the chest piece do you still only get 2 grenades?

Skull is actually a lot more fun than I thought it would be, since it only affects a super you use like twice per game, but it makes those two activations practically unstoppable. I've tanked Golden Gun shots and Hammers and been able to shut them down with the Nova Bomb no problem. I think it's even better than an Unstoppable + Fist of Havoc when it comes to super shutdowns.
I realize that Void can technically be use in PvE, and that Sunsinger can be good in PvP.
These are the most common uses I see of each subclass

Sunsinger really fucking comes in handy with self res during raids.
Self res can be really helpful for rectifying any fuck-ups, but Titan and Hunter don't have it and do just fine. It's a good safety net but I don't consider it a requirement by any means.

Not saying that. I was talking about uses for the subclasses of warlocks. Talking actual classes is a whole other story
[editline]4th November 2015[/editline]
I prefer warlocks but titans are almost a necessity currently for raids and hunters help a fuck ton. PvE-Wise the three classes are kind of well equipped and are all valuable.

What are you talking about? He was replying to the post above his?
I just mean that self res is a valid option, and a safe one at that, but it's easy enough to run Voidwalker or Stormcaller without problems, as well as running Sunsinger without self res and just using Radiance offensively. I was just using the lack of self res on the other classes as an example, not referring to what specific usefulness they have.

Sunsinger is one of the best PvP subclasses. Two sticky grenades kills anything instantly not in super, possibly two melee which give you overshield, in 6v6 modes you just hold your ultie and use Tlaloc which is one of the most insane weapons in the game when your super is charged (arguably overpowered?), in 3v3 modes the self-res is invaluable for clutch rounds. Stormcaller is fun in PvP but all their grenades are kinda shit. The ultimate charges quickly and Landfall + Superconductor/Ionic Blink (mode depending) is pretty great but if your ultimate isn't up you're very mediocre, even bad compared to the other two subclasses. 95% of all Warlocks I saw in Trials last weekend were Sunsinger, 4% were Voidwalker, and 1% were Stormcaller.
[editline]4th November 2015[/editline]
For someone who has played three Warlocks you don't sound like you know about the class, and I only started playing in September.

I started playing in September too.
Im saying that i've seen warlocks used the way I've said repeatedly. I see plenty of those brought up by you and the others but in the games I've played those are usually the minority.
As I said earlier it's all preferential and based off of my experiences. I'm not stating any of this based on fact.
Of course anyone would prefer Sunsinger in Trials. That's a silly comparison, if you have the possibility of making a comeback for your team and the other classes don't have any such ability, guess what the most common choice is going to be..?
Then again, for Rift, Stormcallers are amazing leads for the Spark runner because of sheer offensive ability and mobility.
Void is amazing for most kill or zone oriented PvP (or general PvP really, it seems very dynamic)
I've recently made a Warlock so all this is what I've been gathering from PvP videos from pretty decent guys, these are conclusions I took based on those as I've yet to dabble in PvP with my Warlock.
Like preferentially I use Sunsinger exclusively for raids, especially hardmode. I use stormcaller for PvP aND I refuse to level Voidwalker because I don't want to be Blink-shottie, or throw void bombs everywhere.
I guess what I was trying to say is that there's always going to be classes that lean more towards a certain kind of situations, that's why you get 9 to choose from.

mah merge.

I've said this like 3 times now
I started using the Jade Rabbit in PvP
what the shit why didn't I realize it's so fucking good
I kinda want a Red Death for PvP, feel like trying it etc...
