Defeated Skolas today for the first time, felt pretty neat. Decided to go for the queenbreaker bow, just because it's so unique.

It's really lame how whenever you get close to any boss they just use a big dumb stomp attack instead of proper melee attacks

I know right? i always hope that one day bosses will behave more the Psion Flayers from the mars strike, where you can get up close and damage them, but they'll beat you up for it, not just insta gib you like all other bosses

True, but it is a shotgun.
Tbh I wouldn't mind a sort of auto-shotgun like the one in cs that has low recoil and 8 shots, but does much less damage and doesn't get precision shots or somthing.
I'm just sick of slow shooting shotguns tbh.

Where can you get legendary drops for the Crota equipment? I would love some new armour from that Expansion. All I'm getting is House of Wolves stuff which is nice but I'd still like some Crota stuff. Also is there any other way of getting No Land Beyond other then Xur?

Raid weapons are...from the raid. Everything else, you can no longer buy or receive.
Got Cloak of the Leopard yesterday from a strike. Looks great, hoping to get Cloak of the Mantis next. Just need to find a shader that works with them both.

it wasn't intended to be that way, the game's content was gutted before release but it's still considered canon.

I don't understand your logic. We didn't get the uncut version, so it doesn't matter if the story [B]used[/B] to be good, it's the one that we were given that is the story of the game.
Anyway, I just completed the level 35 Prison of Elders with some random dudes, and got the exotic bounty. Fallen sniper here I come!
I want to get Destiny but my friends say it's not the same without the DLC.
The thing is, Destiny is on sale for $30USD (about $500MP) here. I don't have PS+ so it's gonna be a problem to buy Destiny, PS+ and both expansions without spending all my savings.
Are the expansions really, really a must have? It's not that I don't trust my friends, but spending all my money on just a single game seems way, way too much.
Is there are list of things that I can and cannot do with the vanilla game?
I'm currently at level cap (Level 7) as Hunter. Almost hit Rank 3 with Vanguard and already did Devil's Lair like 10 times. I have a lot of uncommon guns but they are all Level 8 so I can't use them.
I have a lot of Motes of Light for some reason. (I guess I got them from Crucible and Devil's Lair).

Just spent 65 minutes doing PoE 32. Some of the waves were just a chore. Boss took us a few times cause of the stealth vandals. But finally did it.
The game without dlcs not only sucks but you're going to be unable to equip pretty much any endgame gear, capped at level 30 rather than 34 (its an astounding difference), and not only will you be limited to one rather than two+Prison of elders, but when the weekly events happen to be missions from dlc you don't have you won't be able to do them

I tried skolas' for hours, gave up at the 6th round (skolas) after my teammates every fucking time would stand right infront of him as he advanced towards us and get twoshotted right as the round started. Every time.
