Poor Deej.
Had all this shit been on the original disc from the start, I would say great job, it's well worth the $60, looking forward to a big expansion. But alas it isn't so
Poor Deej.
That's what upsets me the most about this whole ordeal. I can imagine there are some real talented people at Bungie that would have loved to release the game that was teased back when the first gameplay was shown. But they get shafted by these absolute dickwads at the top of the corporate ladder who are only in it for the money. Now They're trying to fix the game to to be less and less of the grindfest, and once again, shitheads like Luke are all like "Look at these nerds, they'll pay anything for this shit! HAH!", and the people in the company who actually care can't speak out. And because he's a Lead designer, he represents a big part of the company, so what he says usually echoes over the whole team. Not even mentioning the horrible conversion rate for Britain. This whole game just seems like Activisions testing bed for the amount of bullshit they can pull from customers. Always online, bare bones content in the base game and dlc with separate season passes, and now their most recent one by kicking their fanbase in the teeth making them pay more than they really should. Maybe so they can safely implement it into their other games like call of duty? Fuck I don't know. This whole ordeal is pure poison.
as I just picked up a used copy at gamestop today ($40 and I get a week return policy), having fun but I know the meat is in the expansions and such. if I still like this by the end of the week, should I maybe return it and get the collectors edition bundle to save on xpacs and get some extra goodies?

STOP GIVING ME MYTHOCLAST. :v:

Weekly heroic is Angry Taniks. Nightfall is Valus Ta'aurc with Arc Burn, Solar Burn and Brawler.

3 gjally rockets and a golden gun=Dead Valus
3 gjally rockets and a golden gun=Dead Valus
Took me about 6 Gjally shots 6 to kill him. But managed to solo it and get "Don't touch me"
I got eternal warrior on my titan, and a legendary engram...for the 4th? Week in a row on my warlock. Got red hand out of it.
Just finished Crotas End for the first time with people from /vg/. Went pretty well even though I had no clue what I was doing. Got Song of Ir Yut and the Warlock chest piece.
The curse of the pulse rifle continues, another fucking ALLFATE. On the brighter side of things, I got an icebreaker from the nightfall.
Wow that whole controversy is disgusting. I'm kinda glad I stopped playing after dark below
Yes, you'll save $80 if don't already have Dark Below and House of Wolves.
thanks y'all I think the next question is do I sell the copy back now for a full refund and have to wait near three months or do I just bite the bullet and keep it for now, then find somebody to sell it to for $30 instead of the $3 buyback I'd get out of gamestop I'd still technically be saving $40 if I kept it and got the collector's edition though, eh?
Honestly, as much as the current pricing situation is awful, I still can't say I won't buy The Taken King or continue with Destiny for as long as it goes. They'd have to fuck up intensely (i.e. even less content than the surprisingly low amount per DLC we've already seen) in order for me to stop now. I want off Bungie's Wild Ride, but I'm already strapped in forever. I might be the exact person that's keeping the pricing situation as it is by buying into the product, but I've had such good experiences with Destiny despite it being such a mediocre game. I feel like Bungie is listening to complaints about the game itself at the very least and it ends up translating into a really good experience, although Activision will always be there to fuck up the pricing and force them to cut content out of a finished product. I wish there were a simple solution, but chances are Bungie is going to play damage control by giving out more "nothing" cosmetic items or bonuses to the upset fanbase, and nothing will change about the current pricing. The only hope I have is that, in the future, this can be used for Bungie to point it at Activision as an example to give them better control over pricing or the time to produce more content to make the price meet the value. Also, Luke Smith is an idiot who needs to learn that he should only talk about content and not pricing because he can't sell anything to save his life.
Anyone know if the Physical Edition will be restocked or if the digital edition will come with 2 codes if you already have the dlc?
Hey guys, my brother and I are trying to get back into Destiny. I'm level 24 and he's 21. How can we get our light levels up without grinding like crazy? Most leveling "guides" I can find are just for 1-20, 30-32, or 32-34.
If you have about 75 marks and are Vanguard Rank 2 you can get some legendary gear.
So just do strikes? Sorry I can't really remember how this game worked, so I don't know if there are other or better ways to get marks.
So just do strikes? Daily Heroic missions give about 5-20 depending on which mission it is. Strikes give about 6 per 10 minute strike.

Random high light level rare armor (and sometimes legendary armor from the 28 playlist) will have the chance to drop after completing a strike, as well. Crucible could also count, but you get armor much less often as rewards and there are no chances of random legendary armor drops in the crucible.

Only the 24.
Cool, thanks guys.
You still have to get Crota's End gear to get to 32 right? I'm stuck at 31, I don't know why but I thought it would be easy to get etheric light, and that there would be no point in doing that raid because of it. But now that I actually read into it, it seems it's impossible for a level 31 character to get them until I get raid gear (I dont want to be that guy to get carried in nightfalls, can't do high level PoE, and no ones gonna squad up with a 31 in ToS). So is this the right plan, do the raid > upgrade any gear I get from it till I get to 32 > do Nightfalls on all 3 characters hoping to get etheric light from it?

(The same light as Crotas End gear)
And crota gear still needs radiant shards to max out

If you're going to stop playing until then though I'd take it back for the full $60.
it was a used copy for $40, full refund if I bring it back within the week. pre-ordered over lunch today, can always back out if the plan changes! I'm a little wary given people are super bitchy about the game but it feels pretty solid and I don't mind playing what amounts to co-op pvp matches against NPCs, instead of grinding my face into other players in tiny arenas in halo also I'm on XBO, username daijitsu if anybody wants to say hellu at some point when I'm on
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=iHfq7KY1JU4 Fantastic interview with Luke Smith at the two hours and thirty five minute mark. For those not familiar with giantbomb: Jeff tried his hardest to kick Destiny out of their top 10 game list last year for lack of content.
