Yeah it's the dumbest compromise I've ever heard of. It should be $10. Hell, it should be $5.
Especially when they refuse to convert currency.
US paid $20 for HoW. UK paid £20 which is $31.
We're gonna have to pay £40 for the expansion, then another £20 for the Collectors edition DLC.
So Americans get it for $60, UK(and maybe elsewhere) has to pay $91.
About VIP stuff. You must have lvl 30 or at least play all 2 DLCs.

Hold up, is this the reward for year 1 players or for new players?
Hold up, is this the reward for year 1 players or for new players?
year 1 players.
absolutely sexy shader btw.
I'm happy given the collector's edition basically means the game and each expansion were a flat $20 each for new players, but jesus the whole situation is awful in regards to players who have all the content already. We just dealt with the same thing for GW2 where the new expansion was announced at $50 and would come with the base game for free (after a bunch of sale markdowns of the base game over the past 5 months in preparation for the expansion), with a $75 edition only giving you a $10-equivalent character slot (which should have come with the base of the expansion) and some unimportant collectables/a skin. (then there's the $100 edition)
They finally admitted it seemed wrong after the backlash and added a char slot to the base game (and an extra to the special editions), PLUS are offering refunds for people who bought the base game after the expansion was announced, but still it's debatable what's going to make the 'need to purchase the expansion to access' content worth that $50
Hopefully some sort of deal gets struck where you're either refunded a bit on your pre-orders of this new xpac, gain extra collector content retroactively, maybe get credit towards some more DLC, OR we find out the new expansion is gigantic enough that it's legitimately worth the price anyways
[editline]e[/editline]
also playing missions solo on hard mode is so damn rewarding to beat, but I couldn't get past the lv 8 moon mission (hard=10) where you had to get that sword and kill the 3 princes. first prince one-shots me and I barely scratch their paint job with the sword, forget about dropping it and sniping them in the head or laying down the rocket launcher

I still don't understand how this even happens. Is it an ignorant '20 bucks is 20 bucks' conversion, is there some crazy tax that makes it a reasonable "we're still getting X dollars out of your purchase", or would someone do it on purpose thinking nobody will notice they're paying more, or even dumber, on purpose so US doesn't complain that it's paying too much because the £ is smaller

im strangely okay with this, that shader and emblem look baller as fuck
I feel like a lot of the pricing decisions are made by Activision and Bungie gets all the flak for it and has to work on cleanup. Not to say that interview wasn't terrible, but how much control do devs usually have over this, especially considering Call of Duty's DLC pricing was pretty bad as well?

I imagine a lot of the choices that people are angered by were made by Activision, but people are mad at Bungie for letting it happen and treating their customers like shit
This is the first gaming merchandise that I bought in my life and honestly, it's pretty fucking cool. Got myself this warlock jacket. It wasn't that expensive either

ehhhhh. The logos are a little bit much to me tbh. Maybe if it was just the destiny or warlock logo on the front left then I'd find it better.
I like subtlety.

That's true, they're not so subtle but the Hunter hoodie looks quite good. It's way more conventional. It's quite neat as well.

Got my Hunter to 20 again. Picked up the PoE chest from Variks and it looks like I have a giant metal nipple.
I need to get myself some other legendary gear and ascend it so I can wear stuff that looks better.
Speaking of which we did PoE32 again for the armour core and soon realized that I had no exotic helmet, so I would not get to 34 by replacing my Crest of Alpha Lupi with the Kellslayer's Cuirass
but the RNG gods shined upon me, and the treasure chest gave me the Helm of Inmost Light
god bless
Now you can look identical to Chimp, except he's a female.
So Americans get it for $60, UK(and maybe elsewhere) has to pay $91.
For that price you might as well order and import the collectors edition from the US for a couple dollars extra. (not saying you should but just an example of how terrible the pricing is)
I'm guessing we will never hear from Dinklebot again.
I'm guessing we will never hear from Dinklebot again.
Good riddance.
Where do you get the rest of the kell armour for each class? Varicks only sells the chest piece.

He sells a different piece every week.

By buying packages of him or being luck in the PoE.
There's also four different modifier sets with perks good against hive, fallen, cabal and Vex. Never mind the stat rolls
There's also four different modifier sets with perks good against hive, fallen, cabal and Vex. Never mind the stat rolls
My goal is to get one of each.

What did I miss?
What did I miss?
There hasn't been any official confirmation, but from the looks of the previous expansions, and the apparent lack of dinklebot in peoples playthroughs of the taken king, it's likely Peter Dinklage is no longer voicing the ghost.
I liked Dinklebot :(
I liked Dinklebot :(
I kinda take back what I said about Dinklebot. It's not really him that was the problem, rather the horrible writers. Why they didn't have the same guy that wrote the grimmore cards do the main script is beyond me.
I never had a problem with dinklebot
Always thought it was neat how much expression they gave him visually, even though he was just a floaty cube

Still think valve pulled it off better with Wheatley.
Still think valve pulled it off better with Wheatley.
Wheatley always felt like he was built up to be a meme riding off the success of the previous game, not sure why i felt that way about him.

While there were a couple of awkwardly said lines, the only problem I ever had with dinklebot was bad writing. Some people try to compare him to Cortana, but Cortana was created using a human brain, whereas Dinkle is a straight up robot from the Traveler, which is why he sounds more robotic. Despite this, the animations they give him convey a lot more emotion than you would expect from a little white ball
Is the cluster bomb upgrade for the regular rocket launchers on the same level of gjallarhorn? I got a arc version of the dreamwaker from PoE that has the upgrade. Hoping it's good, since it feels like I'm the only 30+ player that doesn't have the gjallarhorn.
