the novelty is there I guess but it would be so much better if it worked inversely with symbiote
instead of giving an extra shot, remove a shot and have each shot do 3x damage
still the same damage buff as nighthawk (2x) but you can spread it out more appropriately

it's not even good for bosses, the damage is still rubbish
it can one shot majors and make 4 orbs or you can use keyhole + combustion and make 8 orbs easily even without symbiote
supers aren't really meant to dent bosses

black hammer, gjallarhorn, radiance fusion grenade spam, any MG with high impact > nighthawk on bosses
the problem is that golden gun does fuckall damage
yeah and nighthawk makes it worse by removing its only PVE strength, destroying groups of trash mobs and making orbs for your teammates

I've killed many more golden gunners and sunsingers during super than I have bladedancers, you're obviously bad with the class or against bad people if you think its trash in pvp

that doesn't mean it's a bad super
Golden Gun and Arc Blade require a measure of thinking to use, they're not just panic buttons like most of the other supers
That being said, the panic button supers like FoH and Nova Bomb are pretty good at stopping them in their tracks

Gunslinger is a panic super. You see three enemies then you barely aim and you can kill all of them. For a bladedancer you don't have to run from them because you can stop them in their tracks.

Gunslinger is usable for whenever you see a ton of enemies and you want them to either run from you or for you to easily pick them off.

What makes fist of havoc and nova bomb panic supers is the ability for the user to activate them on a whim, out of nowhere.
i.e. titan/ warlock rounds a corner and instantly pops it because because
a) there's 2 or more people right in front of them
b) they're losing a 1v1 firefight and activate it as an insta-win panic button
Can't do that on hunter, you try to do that same thing on a hunter you will be gunned down before your animation even finishes, you can't activate it in a panic scenario, you activate it, planning ahead not spur of the moment, at least that's what everyone I've seen playing this game refer them to and I generally agree with them

Also, there's a reason fist of havoc is nicknamed fist of panic by a lot of people, because of the points I listed above.

Turned the mats into Motes to try and get Nighthawk/Symbiote. Fucking got Glasshouse for the 5th time.

Running Phogoth with arc burn and void burn after having traumatic scarring from when it was arc burn and lightswitch is so fucking cathartic

I don't even know why you're saying "you are terrible yourself" because I'm talking about [b]killing[/b] them, not dying as one. I've played in tons of ToO and regular skirmish matches where skill is the highest and absolutely melted just about every bladedancer that went head first at me.
I'm not saying you're terrible, I'm saying there is a possibility that you are terrible with blade dancer if you think it's bad in PVP
i'm not gonna continue this argument any further, just know that 90% or more of people who play PVP will disagree with you
hell, just take a look at any crucible leaderboard. hunters everywhere, most of them bladedancers

I can understand this for 3v3 since that's what you prefer, but for 6v6 in particular Bladedancers really show their potential. And in terms of easy killing, it really depends on location and circumstance more than anything.
A Bladedancer coming in from across the map or directly into your line of fire is playing poorly and is going to be an easy target, but someone who is smart enough to try and cut you off around corners or in small rooms might be something harder to try and counter, especially when paired with Blink or Razor's Edge which can force a situation into their favor.

I've been trying to get Nighthawk/Symbiote for the last two weeks.
Bought about 30 engrams by now, still not got one.
My hunter buddies have both and one got the new gloves too before xur sold them. They hate warlocks but got all the new warlock gear and I can't for the life of me get them and I main a lock.
