The fact that we have two different kinds of heavy weapons really bothers me. I was hoping that heavy weapons entailed extremely varied weapons. Rocket launchers and machine guns, and that's it? We should get some variants like grenade launchers (a rocket launcher that lobs grenades, timed explosive/shorter range/lower damage/higher mag cap) or [I]something.[/I] I can't be the only one who thinks about this

You know that there is a new heavy weapon coming in Taken King right
Thunderlord sounds so cool when you shoot it.
There's a heavy fusion rifle and then swords/melee weapons are supposed to take up the heavy slot too.

like I'm still a total nub when it comes to this game, but like, if you like the gunplay in the trial-allowed areas, it's a good start. Try out some of the strikes, they're basically dungeons that you play with other players. High level content, especially raids, are ridiculous and even though I haven't done one yet, I've gotten a few tastes of higher lv stuff and it's kind of insulting how much was just hidden away from my view until late in the game, and it's understandable that people may find the game boring if they never reach that point and just think it's 100% about that open world questing/bounty system they have now.
benefit if you choose to buy the game: splurge on legendary edition for the upcoming expansion. You get the base game, two older expansions, and the new xpac (which is basically turning it into destiny 2.0 with a lot of system upgrades and new content) for a total of $20 per piece. The two prior expansions made the game more livable compared to pure vanilla (which is what you'd be running trial on) so consider your options, maybe wait til you see the trial version for the game upgrades with the expansion's overhaul

for some reason all my friends scrapped ALL their weapons in favor of the one with the highest attack. my tip: don't do this. sometimes you need a shotgun, sometimes you need a sniper rifle. always have one handy
As of last night, I have successfully defeated Skolas, meaning I now have completed every one of the moments of Triumph. Bring it, Year Two.
Well if my mum's boyfriend doesn't go all superprick on me and it turns out I actually enjoy the game, I'll definitely get the legendary edition, birthday money notwithstanding.

This is a big thing with me in shoot and loot type games like Borderlands. I've always got a weapon set for every situation. Although in Borderlands I can carry 4 weapons with me so usually I don't need to keep stuff stored.

I can't get coordinated with my team to do any raids on normal, let alone hard. the raids and skolas are all we have left
plus with TTK so close I feel really unmotivated to play before then

The VIP shader looks like the best shader in the game, to me at least. Once I get that, I'm set.

I even keep a Solar, Arc, and Void gun for each weapon type, that I rotate in and out of my vault.
