I dont think so, we had a rough time because we had another guy with us who was only 239, and the play list has a fresh troops skull, so there's damn near double the enemies shooting at us.

Also the shriekers in the sunless cell strike are pure evil and need to be sent to hell.

I got the Stag, Beyond Nemisis and some new hunter helm from Engrams, snagged the Warlock gloves, and 10 of them there coins, I now only have one strange coin, and that one i can't spend ingame.
Bought four engrams.

I bought several engram's from xur and got a Chinese space helmet(!) for my titan
I got THE STAG, the warlock gloves, 2xInmost Lights, the new Hunter helm that gives you a dodge, and a 3rd man

Here's a little farming thing that's been going around.
1) Buy a shitload of three of coins.
2) Play Scourge of Winter or Eye of a Gatelord
3) Use ONE coin before the boss.
4) (On scourge of winter) get the boss' health low, then kill him and yourself with a rocket launcher at the same time. This takes you back to a checkpoint and allows you to repeat the process.
5) The Gatelord also works, you can leave to orbit/suicide before the mission completes.
Ultras drop exotic engrams, so this is the fastest way to use your coins and get them.

Legendary Edition retails for £40, includes Destiny, Expansion 1 and 2, and Taken King.
So yes, that is what you want.
(Separate it's about £20 for Destiny, £30 for Season Pass (exp 1 and 2) then another £40 for Taken King)

You need Expansion 1 and 2 for Taken King.
I think it's about $60 for the Legendary Edition in the US and $40 for just Taken King ($30 for Exp 1 and 2).
So try Trading in the base game and buying Legendary Edition.
Without the DLC you have all the game play changes, you just can't access new subclasses/quests/missions/strikes/raids/crucible etc.

Now my biggest gripe was the shit boss fights that were more or less "shoot at guy for 20 minutes but don't get shot back because he will probably instakill you." Is that a problem in the new content?
