Yeah it seems like it'd only be good for bosses. Sadly I got this on my Xbone account where I mostly do Crucible, but at least it looks cool.
Not too bothered though since I mainly play on PS4 and those characters is doing much better. Titan has a light level of 281 and I just started working on my Hunter.
Pretty annoyed that we can't infuse the exotic class items we got with the CE edition. they look really good

I realised (by force) that you can't level past 34 if you don't own the Taken King yet.
That's bullshit really. The Taken King specific events are already locked out, so basically I can't do any of Y1 stuff now with modifiers on because I won't be high level enough to equip the shit that gives me enough light level. So people without Taken King are effectively locked out of old content they already own, well done Bungie.
In other news, 8 three of coins yielded a Y2 Crest of Alpha Lupi (Already had Y1) and that snazzy fusion rifle that sticks to enemies, also Y2. Too bad I won't be able to ever equip them without Taken King. :v:

what part are you getting stomped at? the first half of the fight, [sp]I just maintained my distance and hid behind pillars, making sure not to get caught in those AOE circles[/sp]. If it's the latter part where [sp]it turns into an arena[/sp] I just kept my shotgun (fusion rifle fine too?) and waited for [sp]the part where he visibly readies his sword and steps back into the fog, that's when he's about to dive into the circle to smack you. Sprint to the side, turn around when he hits, get a good shot in.[/sp]
I killed him with a swift punch to the groin, was too busy celebrating to remember to hit my 'record that' thing :I
