So is anyone else bummed there's almost no reason to play VoG, CE or PoE now that TTK is out?
I hope they incorporate the old raids with year 2 somehow (doubtful) because that's a lot of stuff I enjoyed doing

Spindle is probably the rarest now. As you could only get it for 24 hours.
Now how to wait for it to be daily heroic again.

Doubt it.
I'd be surprised if more people had the Touch of Malice than the Spindle, considering the Spindle doesn't require finishing the raid plus farming all those fragments whereas the Spindle just required doing a heroic daily.

spindle required doing an annoying as fuck side mission, not just doing the daily
that being said the malice is probably rarer
the rarest weapons are supremacy and praetorian foil
foil can still be obtained but has super low droprate
supremacy is probably the rarest weapon that anyone cares about (i.e not some obscure green or blue gun)
although technically I guess fate of all fools is the rarest gun in the game, only one even exists as it was given out before the gun became jade rabbit

Spindle isn't rare because there was a surefire way to get it. It will [I]never[/I] be rarer than certain items that depend solely on an extremely slim drop rate, because of that.
Aimed to do just Oryx today since I had around 2 hours to spare until Jewish holiday feast, instead I joined a fresh run and pegged myself the ghost and the fusion rifle, and I still need to kill Oryx
So I picked up the destiny ps4 bundle (so sexy) and I was given the lvl 25 boost. I used it, knowing I beat the main story on my friend's Xbox 360.
My question... what do I do? How do I access the story mission from the first two expansion packs? Do I just do strikes and crucible now? What do? The game is trying to give me lol 4 quests for the story. Do I need to play the whole story again even though I boosted to 25?

The first mission of TTK is on Mars, you might have to reach that point in the main story to start it

If you don't have TTK, your options are pretty much limited to what you suggested as far as I'm aware.
The boost is really just there to allow you to access TTK content quickly, I believe.

First TTK mission is on Phobos. It's in the same mission select screen as Mars.
For the old DLCs, you'll need to go to the vestian outpost in the reef to get the house of wolves quest, and Eris should of given you a quest called the dark below.
Both of them require you to play a certain vanilla story mission before you can go on to the DLC missions, I believe it was scourge of winter for HoW, and sword of crota for TDB.
Might as well do the vanilla story missions for the XP anyways
I wonder if the next raid is gonna be centered around the Vex or the Cabal, I'm not seeing them making a raid for both of the y2 dlcs

PoA is not a faliure. It's a arena gamemode with great reward. Especially with 3 of Coins.
imo prison of elders was a failure, boring as shit and a massive grind until the boss, it was barely fun the first few times then it just got super tedious
skolas is a great encounter but he's hidden away behind 5 waves of rubbish
also the loot sucked. queen's weapons sucked except the sniper, the PoE weapons sucked, and the 3 exotics were bad except lord of wolves, which got hit hard by the PVE shotgun nerf in 2.0

I wouldn't say it was a failure, but it definitely wasn't as good as it was hyped up to be. I wouldn't mind if they just did another thing like ttk with runes.
PoE would be a lot better if there wasn't so much goddamn downtime
