Manually installing something isn't hard at all and for some things, like the stutter remover for new vegas, I install manually instead of through MO, but for actual mods that add, change or remove something it is 10000000000 times better to use mod organizer because installing and more importanly, uninstalling is literally as easy as clicking a button and there's absolutely zero way to fuck up your game by doing it.
I have a task to Kill Hazak. When I go to the waypoint, it's a hill that says he's under me. I go all the way around the hill and there's nothing. WTF do I do?

It took a little bit of time to figure out but MO is great. So much better than shitty NMM.
It took a little bit of time to figure out but MO is great. So much better than shitty NMM.
Yup. My only issue is that Nexus login tokens are a bit unstable for me, other than that I love it.
Are you sure you're in the right thread? I've never heard of a TES char named that. btw why do you need to kill a house?
he's the target of a TESO "kill the bandit" type of quest, apparently.
Are you sure you're in the right thread? I've never heard of a TES char named that. btw why do you need to kill a house?
Yes, I'm sure I am in the right thread. This covers ESO, right?
Yes, I'm sure I am in the right thread. This covers ESO, right?
ah shit, I don't play ESO, and I tried looking up anything that had TES relations and got nothing.
Yes, I'm sure I am in the right thread. This covers ESO, right?
Yes, but it would've been nice to have a specification, since many people ignored ESO for various reasons.
Yes, but it would've been nice to have a specification, since many people ignored ESO for various reasons.
It would be nice to have a seperate thread, because more people are picking up ESO now and this mixed talk gets annoying (and confusing) really fast. I'm not sure if that would be allowed though?
Yes, I'm sure I am in the right thread. This covers ESO, right?
It was a bug. Went to another task I had and it brought me to that one in a totally different area. Man, Elder Scrolls can be buggy as fuck.
It would be nice to have a seperate thread, because more people are picking up ESO now and this mixed talk gets annoying (and confusing) really fast. I'm not sure if that would be allowed though?
There was a separate thread but no one posted in it.
So it turns out that the game was just taking a long time to load. But then, uh: [vid]http://d.1339.cf/utabhob.webm[/vid]
I don't remember the specifics, but there are some mods that do something with scripts that completely fuck the prologue. Using an alternate start mod should fix it.
I don't remember the specifics, but there are some mods that do something with scripts that completely fuck the prologue. I feel like having the game just lock up for a second under script load would have been much more manageable/stable than bits of the game slowly breaking because script tasks were dropped.
If anyone is interested in ESO, you can get it for $12 on GMG with the voucher code right now.
I don't remember the specifics, but there are some mods that do something with scripts that completely fuck the prologue. Using an alternate start mod should fix it.
Random alternate start is so good, even if so simple mod. Really makes me wish that Todd fucking Howard would go crazy with his next Elder Scrolls game, and including a lot of the good stuff from mods. Or certainly looking at certain mods for his next game, but.. probably not. I.e. the whole starting of the game. You could opt for the "Main" beginning, which could even be locked to certain race(s) only, like the iconic Dragonborn Nord(?) Then optionally you could have a random starting location, with so many different beginnings, some involving a small quest/event while some do not, rich or poor starting environment. And more. One can still dream, right? [editline]21st July 2015[/editline] Also what truly amazed me in the end is how Skyrim is full of food and other ingredients and shit, but no real need to eat. And a big part of Skyrim was big snowy mountains and blizzards and frosty caves as well, but obviously no risk of dying to cold. But then again, mods are even a bigger part of the game I guess.. :/ So definitely needs a HC/Survival game mode, and then your baby bedtime story mode where you just fast travel through entire campaigns and quest-chains. Pffft.. But point is, the ES games could be so much more, and by more I mean having less need for Immersive/fixing mods, except for the endless custom NPC's, weapons, weapon-packs or what have you when Bethesda has mostly taken care of everything else.
There was a separate thread but no one posted in it.
Yeah but nobody played the game before.
Yeah but nobody played the game before.
nothing stopping you from digging that thread up/making a new one
nothing stopping you from digging that thread up/making a new one
I'm just wondering if the mods would have a problem with it, since this thread exists. [editline]t[/editline] Well, I found the old megathread.
I'm just wondering if the mods would have a problem with it, since this thread exists.
Would ESO warrant for enough discussion? And would ES in general warrant for enough discussion without ESO in the mix? :tinfoil:
Would ESO warrant for enough discussion? And would ES in general warrant for enough discussion without ESO in the mix? :tinfoil:
I'm not sure about ESO, but since there's a megathread already, questions would be better off there and I wouldn't worry about TES-talk. Anyway, I won't post the link here since I'm not sure this is allowed, but greenmangaming are offering ESO for €14. A bargain if anyone is still in doubt.
I would just keep posting about ESO here, it's still part of the Elder Scrolls, so it's relevant. Besides, this thread is just barely above dead, and probably will be until a while after Fallout 4 comes out.
Yeah, maybe for now it's the best. Anyway, the megashard in ESO, is that cross-region?
Kill an innocent person and go to sleep.
Kill an innocent person and go to sleep.
Seriously do this if you haven't already. And I've played Morrowind for 96 hours and loved it, but I don't see why it's more amazing than the other beth tes games.

And I've played Morrowind for 96 hours and loved it, but I don't see why it's more amazing than the other beth tes games.
morrowind is a really odd game and if you haven't played it around the time it was released you're 50% bound to adore it or 50% bound to hate it if you play it now

Morrowind is special because Bethesda did something completely new at the time and blew other games out of the water in terms of open world RPG. But besides AI schedules, Bethesda has yet to do anything just as new and groundbreaking.

I don't know why anyone should play Morrowind again, it was a very good game when it released but now you're better off playing the latest in the series and wait for the mod that ports Morrowind to Skyrim.
