The Elder Scrolls Megathread XVII: Paid Mods? Not in My Community.

Anyone know why I crash a lot when I'm in Fort Dawnguard or when I fast travel to it?
Being a rogue, dagger dual-wielding Argonian is fun.
Finished reading C0DA, the Love Letter etc. Really awesome stuff imo, made the Dumner 1000% more badass. Also Vivec and his Justice League was great.
So, I finally got my mods sorted out the way I wanted them, I boot the game up for some fresh fun, and...

Someone forgot to install Live Another Life.

Guess it's a better option that way. The intro sequence is hammy as fuck to begin with.
Seriously though what could be making the wagon spazz out?

I've had that happen too. One or both of the front wheels are misplaced and keeps glitching. I believe it happened after i installed some improved physics mod.
Is there any way to see what mod is causing my game to freeze, other than manually? I have to hit my PC's powerbutton and stop it from shutting down to get out of Skyrim when it freezes like it is :v:
Uh, if you stop Skyrim from shutting down your computer by pushing the power button, wouldn't it shut down anyways?
I think he means like, when you shut down a computer it closes any apps preventing it from shutting down, so after it closes Skyrim for him he stops the shut down process.
"Bandit Trained Frostbite Spider"
How

Anything that affects physics or animations will break carts. Anything. Just install an Alternate start mod, you'll never track it down and it isn't consistent to boot; it's one of the things Beth broke with 1.9 that they never fixed, like facial animations.

Beat it with a stick until it stops spitting at you.
Works in the temple of mara too

I have an animation mod and Realistic Ragdolls and I managed to get through the Helgen cart sequence without any trouble. Might not be that exact of an issue.
[editline]asdf[/editline]
Of course, the rest of the Helgen intro was broken as fuck, but that's probably not the fault of any one mod.
Oh in that case if you can't access the task manager due to Skyrim taking top priority of your screen. Go to task manager and and check this:

Even with that turned on Skyrim likes to take over my screen. Maybe it's because I don't run in windowed mode.
Another advantage of being a Linux/Wine player I guess - my Alt-Tab always takes precedence over anything, so even if Skyrim takes my screen while I'm tabbed out (which it still does for some reason), I know I can get to the terminal window I'm running it in and kill it that way.
I have quite a few ideas with my follower.
I'm thinking maybe if the player sleeps at his Inn or dismisses his follower while he has stuff in his inventory, my follower will sell it all for like a random amount of some shitty homebrew mead.
The player will notice and it will start a quest to get the stuff back.
Annoying or no.

Annoying, but yes. Skyrim needs more random little quests like that.

Better than those follower mods with WOW 5000 LINES OF DIALOGUE but otherwise add nothing.
Dragonborn: You're Altmer. You must have an opinion on the Thalmor.
Rumarin: I do! They're tall, punctual, and have good posture.
Dragonborn: That's not what I meant.
One of my favourite mods, that.
I tried interesting npcs and honestly I don't think it's anything special. Probably only any good if you're just starting the game for the first time. Sure some of the voice acting is good but not a whole lot of it, also bothers me that sound quality of the voice acting differs at LOT between the characters.
I like the new quests Interesting NPCs adds. Voice acting quality aside they really fit into the game.
the thing with multiple voice actors in a project like that is that you're going to get an array of voice acting quality and microphone quality.
like one female npc could have the most beautiful voice in the world, with a studio quality microphone, while the npc beside her is literally some random guy who deepthroats his $5 mic he got from wal-mart every line

>Dismissed with loaf of bread
Quest to get it back begins
>Travel to frozen north sold to caravan
>Then sold to a researcher who had it as travel provision while he went to a dwemer ruin
>Bandits attacked stole everything including bread
>Bandit camp was attacked and One bandit who was carrying it in a bag was eaten whole by Alduin.
>Travel to sovengarde
>Kill Alduin
>Get bread
It's gone stale
I was thinking of something simple and common, like dragon bones.
I can't count how many times I just gave my followers all my dragon bones to carry. I don't know if anyone else does the same.

I don't think "Annoying" really matters that much, because you are designing an in depth character that follows a plot-line and character development.
Not only will the player get their stuff back, but this is kind of what roleplay is about, dealing with choices, consequences, and the actions/reactions of yourself and those around you.
To skirt away from that, especially with a free project with no risk? Nah

If you give him enough loot(lets say 20000 septims worth of loot), the next time you'll see him he'll be decked out in full Daedric armor(minus the helm because on Argonians that doesn't make sense).
That way there is an upside to giving him all of that loot and not getting it back. And then you can take the loot back in a quest.
I'm thinking of making a quest that revolves around his alcoholism and depression. Basically the guy hates his father for being an ass and he can't get over it.
Fun!
You're thinking of making a lot of quests, man. Maybe try one at a time? :p

They're meant for the same character and his plot line. I am sure he knows what he is doing and can multi-task and prioritize properly.
