its also because of the kawaii cat underneath it. needs to be on a buff nord or something to look menacing.
Armor looks neat except for the bear, which is sleepily trying to gnaw your head off.
That's a werewolf, and I'd personally say it's the opposite. Armor is bad, but the werewolf pelt drape is cool.
as a general rule most modded armours, especially the Frankensteins, look silly.

Werewolf content in general is always cool, which is why I'm kinda sad there's so little of it in Skyrim and Dawnguard. They could've done a lot with it.
Doesn't Norse/general Europe mythology have lots of werewolf things?
There's a lot of werewolf content in Skyrim compared to Oblivion.
I don't recall ever hearing much about werewolves in norse mythology really.
But Skyrim isn't directly based on norse mythology, it's very loosely based on it.
Ok there IS Sovngarde, but still.

Norse were more werebears than werewolves; one of the inspirations for modern werewolves were Norse berserkir (which is where the word berserker comes from), who went into battle naked except for cloaks of bear fur, which were supposed to make them like bears.
European mythology in general has a lot of werewolves and werewolfy-things, but France seems to have the most.

Yeah, berserkers with werebear/werewolf transformations also showed up in the Witcher 3, which has a lot of norse and European mythology going on.
There sure was more werewolf content than in Oblivion and even Morrowind's Solstheim expansion, I just wanted more since I'm a big fan of them. The Companions not having a pretty awful quest chain could've been a good start.
Has anyone tried that Summerset Isle mod that's on the front page of the Nexus? If so, is it any good? I kinda want to try it but I want to get an idea of what its about. I know that some of the buildings in the screenshots are kinda poorly textured, and I don't know about the voice acting. The environment looks decent enough.
If no one's played it, would anyone be interested in me playing through it to give a review on it?

It looks more ceremonial than practical.

At first I thought it was a completely different game [sp]but then I saw the animations[/sp]
Thinking about doing another playthrough of Skyrim on PC (with mods of course). I haven't touched the game 'for real' in about a year now. After playing and beating Witcher 3, i'd love to do another playthrough of Skyrim.
honestly a more combat focused game about being a specific vigilant of stendarr would be wicked cool and would give beth a chance to work on wordbuilding and fleshing out lore rather than trying to make a whole crazy open world.
even just a full total conversion mod with a neat story would be cool

lmao the vigilant questline actually does exist and its super sick
but it's japanese only right now cause no translator
aaaaaaaahhhhhhhh i wanna play it so bad

I wonder what the chances are that the procrastinating bastard who's currently translating it will see this post...

Huh, well wouldn't you know
Exactly 1:1
Care to playtest the first episode in a couple of days?
For the record I have no idea how gambling odds work.

ahahah holy shit i dunno if this rig can run the game right now but ill check it out tonight/tomorrow and get back to you!
Some guy called into the electronics store I work at asking Services why his game is crashing with what was put together.
He was trying to use all the high res textures (4K etc) on an old 2GB Radeon and had no concept / couldn't understand what we were telling him about Graphics Card VRAM limits. He asked if it could play Skyrim (And it can) then thought that modding the game wouldn't increase system requirements.

It could be worse, you could be playing Morrowind on Xbox.
I have no idea what just happened, I got murdered to all fuck, then it loaded a new game.
I... I don't know what to do anymore.
So DaggerXL may be dead, another project has risen to take it's place, being made by an OpenMW developer.
Unlike DaggerXL it's open source.

I saw that a couple weeks back and I didn't think anyone was going to try and pick that up, neat.

Isn't this like the third Daggerfall re-engine
