The lusty argonian maid is also in ESO which is just dumb fanservice.
could they really not just make some forgotten (forgotten in previous games) book called the lusty khajiit maid instead or something
[editline]11th August 2015[/editline]
actually forgotten is a weak word, I think I'm looking for repressed

It's also a running joke.
I particularly enjoyed the Sheogorath-related quest in which he conjures up a bunch of Ebonhart Pact soldiers and shouts "HEY! YOU HATE EACH OTHER, REMEMBER?!" and they all just start nodding and going like "oh yeah" and stuff before they start slaughtering each other.
I'm more bothered by the presence of a book that you can find, which is written by a character from Skyrim. Even that's more amusing than anything.
This is where I point out there's a book written sometime between Oblivion and Skyrim (it references the events of Oblivion) in Morrowind.
All kinds of weird time crap going on in TES; possibly moreso in ESO. Remember that the plot of the game involves the corruption of the Amulet of Kings, a pretty jewel filled with loads of souls that come from Akatosh himself. It's quite possible that time itself is corrupted during the game, causing a Dragon Break.
edit: also, as I said before, there's a book almost certainly written by Heimskr in ESO. As in, the Heimskr that's preaching about Talos in Whiterun. It's even written the way he speaks.

Lusty Khajiit Butler. [sp]Reintroduce barbed cat-people penises to the games.[/sp]
And that's where the Tactics approach shines. The existence of that book in ESO makes no goddamn sense, so its existence in the Second Era becomes non-canon. Sure, Dragon Breaks are a thing, but even within Dragon Breaks items don't just magically TARDIS their way in from two eras into the future then disappear again like nothing fucking happened.
Now, if Signus was actually dicking around with an Elder Scroll (not blind, so he wasn't), then maybe a copy or two of his book could have time warped back there. There are ways to make its existence sensible. But it's not sensible, so it doesn't count.
It isn't guaranteed you go blind whenever you read an elder scroll.
It isn't guaranteed you go blind whenever you read an elder scroll.
It happens over time. Also, I think it was made clear that Sigmus is a bit of a special case, going nuts instead.

The book literally states in ESO that it was publicized in the 4th Era, its a nod to all the time affecting properties of a Dragon Break and the Elder Scrolls as a whole.
eso isnt canon with the good games
(eso sucks)
I feel like all of the people who hate on ESO haven't even played it, it's not my cup of tea because I'm not exactly a fan of MMORPG's anymore (Don't have the time) but when I played in the Beta I rather enjoyed my time with it.
It seemed like a competent MMORPG set in the Elder Scrolls universe, honestly I don't see the problem.
The lusty argonian maid is also in ESO which is just dumb fanservice.
i always thought that the lusty argonian maid was one of those stories that transcended time and space
like the bible
It happens over time. Also, I think it was made clear that Sigmus is a bit of a special case, going nuts instead.
So it doesn't happen all the time then like I said? Another example is the Dragonborn, and many other characters. Even the moth priest who went blind said he went blind because he read too many of them too quickly. The moth priests go blind because they read the elder scrolls multiple times over and over. That means you could read one and not go blind, but repeated use most likely leads to blindness.

i played it a bit in the beta and after it was released in the free weekend thing
i tried to get into the game and its lore back then to see how it actually was, but couldn't enjoy the game because it felt more like an mmo than an elder scrolls game and i got really bored of playing it
or it might be because last time i tried it i just got constantly chased by guards who instantly killed my level 5 character because i "accidentally" (i played a khajiit) got a bounty i would never be able to pay at that point and then i got glitched out of the world and couldn't figure out how to get back, and this was after the game was considered to be "released"
i wouldn't say i didn't give the game a fair chance, but i won't judge the game based on the little i saw, all i can say is that i got a bad impression from it and don't want to spend my money a game i didn't like playing

Well release was quite a while ago, and every new MMO has it's teething problems at the start.
I'm sure everything is fixed by now.

i'm not saying that game-breaking bugs make the game bad on it's own, bethesda games are usually pretty buggy anyway and unofficial patches are considered to be required
it's just me having problems getting used to the game being an mmo without a friendly quicksave/quickload button to get me out of the previously mentioned situations
Well, it's been since last year (around October?) since I showed you guys my Vanilla ENB pictures, which were basically just changing some of the lighting to be a bit more realistically darker in interiors.

Well I stopped playing skyrim to play Morrowind, then played Oblivion, then played FO3, then played FONV, then played Witcher 1, then played skyrim, didn't finish skyrim and reformatted my computer to get Windows 10 working, and now i've gotten back into modifying my ENB.
I have figured out a lot of the effects and what they do within ENB.
And now the final product:

Currently I have a 970 and need people to tell me their FPS hit with my ENB setup. I only get a 5-10fps hit though so it seems promising if others take the same hit.
If anyone is interested, here are the links you'll need.
You install it by going here and downloading ENB, then going into the Wrapper version and taking out the dll and the enbhost.exe that's inside and putting it in your Skyrim game folder
Then you download my ENB version and install that into the same folder(Don't mind the name, it's hard finding free file share sites without having to sign in. If you don't trust the link I respect that)
Then you run Skyrim and voila! It should work and you'll have the latest kind of ENB effects in a vanilla looking skyrim with hopefully low performance impact.
If you do have a huge impact, please try pressing Shift+Enter and ticking off and on effects to see what hits the most, and let me know through PMs.
Have anymore screenshots? One room doesn't exactly sell an enb tbh.
I saw someone posted the Beyond Skyrim Bruma interiors video a few pages back and just wanted to mention that the exterior of the city was recently updated (updated models and textures, narrower streets, cluttering was redone, etc.) and finished, save for some bugfixing and minor details. Here's some screenshots:

The reason why there aren't many NPCs out is because the navmesh got severely bugged after the update, but it's being fixed now.
I really hope Skywind/Beyond Skyrim/Skyblivion are good.
No matter what big total conversion or landmass mod comes out, they all got really weird level design and it always looks amateur as hell.

The issue is that the games still pretty much looks the same in exteriors except with some more details like SS Indirect Lighting and SSAO. All I need to do is get an optimization check.
The ENB isn't really ready for typical modders to download.

Morroblivion is pretty good so I expect the TES Renewal Projects for Skyrim will pretty good as well.

You straight up meet the author of the lusty argonian maid in Morrowind.
You also meet Barenziah in Daggerfall.
Anybody else noticed that SKSE is now on steam?

"give me a kiss muffin"
So I've encountered a really annoying issue in my recent run. The game's sounds are lagging behind and have started to repeat themselves constantly, and I've got no idea what causes it. It's frequent in Skyrim and other gamebryo games that the sounds start getting delayed but I've never experienced it for that long. Every single sound is delayed by 2 to 4 seconds (or never play at all), music fails to stop and several tracks play at the same time, and since recently, the out of stamina sound is playing on a loop - my character will literally not stop breathing loudly.
Something's causing massive lags and probably getting all the papyrus scripts stuck in a loop, no idea what though.
