I had a hunch that that one person who said "Daggerfall's dungeons can be as big as the newer game's world maps" was right.
Oh. Well then.
:saddowns:
It's honestly not that exaggerated
It depends a lot on the individual dungeon of course, some of them are pretty small, but others are just absolutely ridiculously huge
There was one dungeon that I remember pretty well taking me hours to find my objective inside of... and then after that it took me an hour to find the exit again. I regret not getting recall.
I honestly just run through the dungeon until i get bored then cheat myself to the quest object then back to the entrance.
FCOM.
It's difficult and very annoying to install, but end result is absolutely amazing. All them new monsters and items.
I feel like with MO installing FCOM would be super easy. I just remember the order of the install being a super pain in the ass but MO makes that irrelevant.

I am so excited to see this along with the planned ability to import saves.
I wasn't expecting the latter and that was what raised my hype for DaggerXL and didn't know it was even possible with Unity.
yeeeeessssssssssssss
can we work on arena as well
[del]Suddenly my FPS in Skyrim in dungeons has gone from 60 to 3-7. I haven't installed any new mods lately.
[editline]19th August 2015[/editline]
It only seems to happen when I have control of the character. I can make a character with the Live Another Life mod fine, but when I finish making the character the game just slows to a crawl.[/del]
It was some physics mod. What the fuck?
can we work on arena as well
isn't really worth the effort tbh

But we get to go through all of tamriel. :v:
But we get to go through all of tamriel.
Not really.
Unless you consider all of Tamriel as: Flat forested area, flat desert area, and flat snowy area.

I think physics have a weird tie-in to framerate. If the game is run over 60fps, the physics go buggy. Maybe the mod had the reverse problem? Which mod was it?

yeah like cdr said, Arena is not that great tbh
Daggerfall is better in every possible way.
The only reason I would ever play Arena would be to like, do some dumb gimmick. Like playing through every game in the series as a single character.

MO didn't work super well with me when I tried it with Oblivion.
Not sure if this is the right thread to post this, but, I have a bug in Skyrim that needs fixing. Whenever I open my map, whether it's through pressing M or pressing TAB then selecting the map, my game crashes to desktop. Is there a quick fix for this? Because I've spent days trying to get Skyrim working again, and I really don't want to spend any extra days trying to fix a little issue like this.
I've gone into the skyrim.ini to check out that [ScreenSplatter] line, but it wasn't there. I've gone through all of my mods (A Quality Map/with roads/etc etc something or other mod was possibly the issue, as people in the steam community pointed out, so I got rid of that but the problem still remains). My load order for mods/plugins/DLC is fine, since the game runs and runs well, but just opening the map ruins all of this. How can I fix this?

I occasionally get this, but for me I can usually just go through a door or somesuch and it'll work again.

It was just a small tweak for HDT Physics Extension.

And Elswyer has a lot of the same four way intersection over and over according to my playthrough.
Turns out I was only getting the crash to desktop while in Helgen Keep and accessing the map. Now I've run into another problem. I got Vividian ENB (Let's be honest, vanilla Skyrim looks bland and lifeless for the most part), and now my game is almost broken.
Screenshots of what the ENB has done:

^It looked like that only if I looked at those specific pixels, every other direction was garbage^

It only broke to this degree after setting up Vividian ENB. No other mod I have has had this effect on the game.

Make sure you disable the game's AA, disable Anisotropic Filtering, floatingpointrendering is enabled in your INI or INIs.

I'll try that.
The one thing I didn't try, and it worked. Holy hell, everything is so pretty and sharp and non-bland! Thank you so much!
I'll try that.
Those are the usual requirements of ENB, and enabling land shadows and shadows on trees.
I've been thinking of making a house mod that's oriented towards collectors, with three wings dedicated to vanilla, dragonborn and dawnguard as well as a secret vault for daedric artifacts, and just enough mannequins/weapon plaques to put up every single piece of unique weaponry and armor you can find, as well as enough space to put up all the vanilla armor sets.
Druid's den does that but I'm unsure about the actual house, since it's pretty over the top.
Speaking of player home mods, what are some good ones that wouldn't be out of place with the vanilla homes and aren't handed to the player for free?

Humblest hut, by s7o, you can find it in the workshop.
Looks like it has the face of a pissed off Oblivion character.
To be fair the face wasn't designed by modders, that was what Bethesda came up with as an early version of werewolves.
Glad they didn't go with that, really.

wow this really wouldn't have worked out at all

how did i not know about this
Then again, the vanilla werewolves are rather boring looking. Those two are a lot more interesting to look at, even if they'd probably look really silly ingame.
