Well what's open if I might ask? I could give writing another go, I just need to motivate myself.
Well unfortunately writing isn't something we need desperately at the moment.
Well unfortunately writing isn't something we need desperately at the moment.
Can't help then, I don't have the computer nor experience with the Skyrim creator program thing.
The custom buildings in the end of that video are impressive, the nordic like one reminded me so much of bruma's buildings from oblivion.
Another Tamriel Online update. He's just churning these out like nothing!
2.2.1 - Quick fix for the headlook issue in the latest version. Please see 2.2.0's changelog for details on the latest version. 2.2.0 - Weather synchronization. Greatly reduced lag that occurred on death, and when the "no pause" option was active. Fixed server crash on death. Players will not render until they are loaded. Npc sync should be a bit less taxing on performance. Added a 5 second delay between reconnecting. More CTD fixes. Fixed issue preventing shouting from working.
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/67038/
After playing tamriel online for few hours with a friend of mine. When we went back to riverwood we saw this [T]https://i.gyazo.com/f5d216dbc2459198bf4b23e57e5800c3.jpg[/T] It seems that my copies had overrun Riverwood [T]https://i.gyazo.com/5d9dbfe56ff68dc2a5eb8ab1402b16d5.jpg[/T] The clones made the server lag like hell so we decided to clean the place up [T]https://i.gyazo.com/619cdc5a6e315406466a5487aa493c26.jpg[/T]
Call it first world problems, but I guess it'd been so long since I played old non-Steam PC games I forgot you needed the CD actively in the tray in order to play. I installed Morrowind from my Anthology set and while it's nice not having it on steam so that I can use the Construction Set and the like, it's a pain putting in the CD every time. Since even GoG has Morrowind now, I'd imagine that this is less of the game actually needing the CD in order to play and more along the lines of antiquated anti-pirating technology. Is there any way to bypass the needing of the CD or does this enter the territory of shady practices? Thanks in advance for any answers.
Another Tamriel Online update. He's just churning these out like nothing! http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/67038/
No idea how anybody plays this. Tried it out a few days back and it never worked, everything was sync'd alright when we logged in inside the riverwood traders, but as soon as we walked outside everything went to shit. We were invisible to each other, sometimes i'd see somebody for a few seconds before they vanished again, it kept crashing one friends game. Could only ever get it working inside a building.

Existing doesn't mean much when it doesn't work. Sure, it works as long as we stay in one non world cell, but the moment someone enters a different cell, it crashes or otherwise stops working. Guess we'll just have to live inside a single building forever.

Even if it isn't, I really doubt the mods are going to ban you for openly declaring you grabbed a no-CD crack for Morrowind because you didn't want to put in the disc every damn time. (I've been meaning to get off my ass and program a launcher that would make sure my ISO is mounted before launching the game, but I'm a lazy prick)

Maybe it was because it was a used copy ? Who knows, securom was shite. [editline]3rd October 2015[/editline]
Existing doesn't mean much when it doesn't work. How many players does the tamriel online mod support?
How many players does the tamriel online mod support?
The server console says 1000.
Y'know, I was just thinking about Skyrim's opening, and I just considered how I would do it differently (without knowing EVERYTHING about Skyrim's plot, mind you) in a way that would change how the game went in a major way. (and just generally what I would have rather happened) So the basic premise stays the same, you got caught up in an ambush and got sent to Helgen to be executed with the rest of the Stormcloaks. First, we change the landscape in which this happens. Instead of rolling down a really boring corridor, you get a scenic view of Skyrim coming in, and your ride starts further back, so you can see a transition from the snowy mountains you're emerging from and in to the forests of Falkreath. You spend time talking with the Stormcloaks. You ride with more Nords and hear them talk to you and amongst themselves, seeing the various reactions of how Nords react to their impending doom. You arrive in Helgen, a large medieval town, and numerous Imperial supporters jeer, and try to throw rocks at the cart. You stop, and you're unloaded from the cart. Instead of a chopping block, a gallows awaits you. Rather than giving him a noble beheading, the Empire intends to execute him as a common thug, to send a strong message to the rebellion. You are lined up with the others on to the gallows, and you drop, and start kicking and struggling. Before you're able to die, something intervenes, let's say the Stormcloaks raid the town, and you're cut free. A dragon intervenes and causes chaos, and you flee the town in the process, managing to be one of the few survivors. Among the ones who doesn't make it, however, is Ulfric Stormcloak, who's neck snapped as soon as he was dropped. After this, Ulfric Stormcloak's name becomes a legend. You learn more about him vicariously through the conversations people have about him, and it becomes clear how charismatic and significant he was, for better or worse. However he remains more of a person to you and more tangible than if you had only heard about him because you actually saw him before he died, even if it was only for a short time. Later on in the game, you discover Ulfric Stormcloak's dark secrets and either expose that he far from flawless or hide it, from the Imperial side either respecting his legacy or using it to tarnish the name of the rebellion further, or from the Stormcloak side keeping him an idealized figure to respect his legacy and unify people, or to bring on the grim reality, hurting Stormcloak morality but at the same time making them more independent and less reliant on Ulfric as a figure. From here you either join, as before, the Imperials or the Stormcloaks. The Stormcloaks spend the game challenged as to who should lead, what they stand for, and what they're supposed to do now that they've lost the single most unifying factor they had. Should you join them, you get to push them and reshape them in to an efficient body that is actually capable of governing itself and has a clear defined idea of what it is to be a Nord, or in to a bloodthirsty, conquering horde. You can push them to be open to the Dunmer refugees and be kind to other races and cultures, or you can push them to be isolationist and send the Dunmer packing for somewhere else, or dead. From either side, you spend most of the game learning every facet of the Nord religious pantheon, exploring their cultural traditions. You see their religious methods, you meet groups of Talos worshipers remaining in every city underground, you see young men performing coming of age rituals, you hear songs, read books, engage in religious practices yourself, go on pilgrimages, and whether you come as a conqueror or a foreigner adapting in to a local, you don't make it through without a thorough understanding of Nordic culture, as understanding the Churches, worship, Nordic pantheon, and the various cultural groups is essential to the main quest. I would have possible endings be the separation of Skyrim in to two nations, one Imperial, and one Nords, I would have it be possible from the Imperial side to surrender, choosing to have the Nords become an independent nation and potential ally. The Stormcloaks could either be eradicated, or turned in to Forsworn-esque tribals in the hills (this ending would be possible from both sides), or for to turn it in to a strong independent nation which can either be friendly and open, isolationist, or hostile and conquering. I'd also have it be possible to end up High King of Skyrim, which would be the only path that causes the game to be over New Vegas style, but depending on the choices you made, would create a nation that crumbles after your death or thrives even past it. You'd also get Fallout style "what happened after" things, because in my eyes that's just an awesome format. I guess this is approaching fan fiction territory but dammit, I can dream.

I had to walk around half naked in breeches and a pitiful AV cloak from some mod to retain some element of aesthetic and still find any challenge in the game, and I still easily managed to piss all over pairs of dragons
-pretty good idea though I'm just a little iffy on Ulfric dying even if it would greatly improve his character development-
Speaking of the opening, I tried to go through it with most of my mods disabled. Never leave home without your alternate start mod. Can anyone throw me some tips when modding in oblivion? I have never modded it before. I've grown tired of seeing bandits and marauders with high end gear at high levels and my plan is to change the leveled lists, so bandits and marauders don't spawn with armour higher than steel/chainmail. As for the weapons I thought about limiting them at high levels to steel or silver. Also I thought about changing the skeletons so that all varieties of it (guardian, hero, champion) can spawn with all sets of weapon combinations (sword/axe/mace and shield, twohanded axe/mace/sword or onehanded sword/axe/mace without shield). This would only be a very small change, but it would mean a lot for me. Would something as this be easily moddable for someone lacking experience, like me?
You should go to Modding Skyrim instead.
I played skyrim and found it awful to play, so I'm sticking with oblivion.

You'd just have to remove every entry of higher level gear from the bandit lists. It could end up being pretty time consuming as there might be quite a few entries though. As for the skeletons, basically the same idea but in reverse. I would suggest looking at the Skeleton entries that do have the weapon combinations that you want to apply to the others and seeing how they're setup.
