Daggerfall for unity test build 1 was released. http://www.dfworkshop.net/
^how it feels to try to halt yourself from installing tons of mods while browsing the skyrim nexus
The shitty/awesome/GAHDFUKKINDAMMIT thing about it to me is that the game never start's crashing for no apparent reason, it's always a matter of "Hmm, I really like the looks of that mod, but it sounds like it won't work with the ones I already have installed." Welp, let's . . . Shit."
man i wish i could play oblivion again without it crashing every 3rd second

I usually install some higher res textures, better weather for blizzards and storms and shit, whatever that one mod that removes having to go limb-by-limb in the perk tree, and a few other things. Like, I can't even fathom what 200 mods I'd get.

I was having intermittent crashing with my set up, ran my save through a save cleaner and now not only has the performance improved, but it's been perfectly stable.
I mostly install "quality of life" mods, things like roads on the world map, EFF, SkyUI/Racemenu, being able to put souls in soul gems that are currently holding smaller souls (so a greater soul gem that's holding a lesser soul can be used to trap a common or greater soul later). I've also generated a few of my own to address my own unique bugs, like I've got one that adds a spell for "player.addspell BeastForm" because it keeps getting removed from my spell list for some stupid ass reason. it's not completely "vanilla+", i've got some mods that actually change shit, but that's the gist of my mod strategy
I do STEP and then add 50+ mods ontop, mostly gameplay related.
More enemies, better combat AI for npc's, better and more varied leveled lists, bigger and better cities, more population, more variation in animals, better flora, better lod, hardcore needs, bugfixes and the list goes on.
While some of those I totally understand, things like hardcore needs are more a per-playthrough thing for me. If I'm doing a casual non-survival run, I wouldn't install it. It's a pretty big game changer. You stop giving a fuck about how good armor is because if you're high on a mountain that awesome-ass armor's going to kill you.
Also, are there any "new lands" type mods that don't suck? Seems to be an either-or kind of thing.
Also, are there any "new lands" type mods that don't suck? Seems to be an either-or kind of thing.
Wyrmstooth is ok. The new land itself is kinda boring and I feel it has some lost potential in the "being spoooooky" area, but I enjoyed it well enough. Also that Darkend mod that came out recently is said to be really good and looks like it, but it looks low on new land to explore. Beyond Reach's latest version is supposed to be good too, and actually has some sizeable world space to it, but it's pretty obscure and I've yet to try it myself.
Can't actually download daggerfall for unity, the download is very slow and stops a couple of seconds in.
Hey guys! What mods would you all recommend to make Skyrim play as much like Dark Souls as possible? I've seen a few dodge mods out there, are there any that actually make it effective? I can't stand the bullet sponge-y trading blows combat Skyrim has now. Any ideas would help.

Your best bet is to just get any mod that widely increases damage (not requiem though because requiem is a broken heap of trash) and learn to block very efficiently. PerMa makes blocking quite rewarding and can be coupled with a bunch of mods altering enemies.
Anybody know how the Necromage perk works in Perkus Maximus? Specifically, does it buff player vampires like the old necromage perk in vanilla's restoration tree? I always liked builds that used that, even if it was considered an exploit by some of the community (like the makers of the unofficial patch).

Why not test it out for yourself?
I've long since switched to Ordinator, personally. Why not test it out for yourself?
I wanted to reinstall Skyrim with a whole-new mod loadout, so if anybody knew beforehand it would save me some time and effort in installing everything and getting it all working together nicely with the chance of it not doing what I was after in the first place. Although, looking at Ordinator I see there's a Necropotence perk that seems to be just the thing I was after. Thanks for informing me about that, I'll have to take that into consideration.
Found kind of a hacky solution to make the PC stop fidgeting and looking around during character creation. Temporarily replaced the idle animations with the "leaning against wall" animation which is a lot less shaky.

I just thought I would let you know that Shirley Curry is still playing Skyrim and is showing no signs of stopping. God bless her.
Can someone help me with this error? https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0BxJak17apj1uZHlNZVBYMnZCYlk&usp=sharing Basically, the model's head appears invisible, along with the feet. If anyone can fix this, I'll provide the complete werewolf overhaul. I fixed it once, I forgot what I did, but it was something in nifskope. Goes to Data\Meshes\actors\Werewolfbeast\Character Assets
Make sure your bslighting properties is correctly set in nifskope, and actually points to a texture make sure the texture has an alpha make sure the head has the head slot set for BSDismemberSkinInstance and that the feet have the feet slot make sure bslightingclamp is using the right lighting mode make sure if you imported and exported you kept all the ninode and uv information intact

No one uses UFO?
ufo old af and inferior
EFF is fantastic (command wheel like New Vegas, hnnngh), while AFT and UFO are old, less refined, and outdated. Definitely don't use UFO if you can help it, it can break a companion forever sometimes.
