If anything is duct-taped together it's Bethesda's games. Rather than creating a better engine, their idea of innovation is spending their resources on putting a bandaid over the the current issues and limitations and using development time to think about what kind of hacky method they'll use to achieve something that would normally break shit because of the engine. And IIRC CK doesn't have the ability to let people create new classes like weapons that aren't based off already-existing weapons, which makes it pretty limited.
This and this. Unfortunately, it probably only affects NPCs during a vampire or dragon attack, respectively. All other combat situations will still cause them to raise their fists or draw their dinky little daggers for a fight.
Well that citizen ai overhaul works to make people hide from dragons, really well I might add. (so far I've only seen 1 citizen die and that was because he was too far from a building to run into when the dragon came)
I was hoping for something to make people flee from me. I'm the dragon born, 1000+ kills under my belt and a skull tattooed on my face. It's kinda odd for a bandit, after seeing all his friends killed in 1 hit from a huge sword, to charge at his inevitable death.
On the topic of stealth archers; this image is always fun.

At least Valve could figure out faceposing. This is inexcusable for a seven-year difference.
This picture is fucking stupid. Skyrim characters have a full set of face morphs, but instead of making an actual comparison they just pasted the same picture 4 times because lol such funny joke.
Half-Life 2 does still have better faceposing, but that's a game with a few main characters with a decent amount of dialogue, and a bunch of minor NPCs with a few one-liners, versus Bethesda RPGs, which have hundreds of characters, and dozens with a lot of dialogue. It would be impractical to go over every facial animation used in a Beth game, so it's just automatically generated, unlike HL2 where I believe they're generated as a guideline, then improved by hand.
And, iirc, Bethesda's automatic lipsync animation thing is miles better than Source's.

Go into Racemenu or something and try to mimic those expressions without twisting the fuck out of Aela's face. I bet you one Fallout CTD that you won't do it!
Edit: Base game too, no funny business with the thing that apparently fixes female facial expressions on the Nexus.

You could maybe still try to polish them up, atleast for the more important characters. Random generic peasants or guards can keep their autogen'd stuff.
Well the problem is an actor can only display one expression at a time, because one expression morphs the entire face. It can chain together modifiers and phoneme, but expressions are a one thing. Source can mix preset expressions and unlike Creation/gamebryo, a phoneme in source is a set of morphs instead of just one.
In theory, you could do source style animation within Creation engine, but you'd need twice the morphs. You can't recreate those source examples not because it's impossible, but because those morphs just don't exist.

You could put in a Fallout 4 character next to Skyrim and it would be exactly the same, except now it's been 11 years instead of 7. Bethesda and war both share something in common, neither ever changes.

Is that what you look like if you have your digestive sytem surgical removed?

When body builders want a more "feminine" silhouette.

If that's the case then they could just as well show some Skyrim screenshots where facial expressions cause clipping issues or sharp edges or something, rather than this lazy and misleading meme poster shit.

Yeah, it's lazy. But I guess it works if you've got some knowledge of how Skyrim freaks the fuck out like that with complex facial expressions. If someone does get pictures we could work on updating it to make it 100% objective.

Except two of those tri morphs ARE the same in vanilla skyrim.

Someone needs to make a video demonstration of this. I need to hear about the butt maggots.

pretty sure that guy is just using one of those sexy clothing replacer mods
pretty sure that guy is just using one of those sexy clothing replacer mods
Yeah that's the one with like the most downloads. Here
Honestly the amount of work put into this is astounding. It's like Tera's female armor designer just took a lil' bit of a break and did all of this.
Edit: it's actually a collaboration piece by like 5 dudes. Teamwork makes the dream work I guess
This mod will transform Heimskr into a beautiful young woman. She is custom voiced, and now she preaches about gender equality instead. This mod is based on YuiH’s Emily follower, but instead of adding a new follower, it changes the appearance of Heimskr to be that of Emily’s. She can be found in Whiterun preaching, but might also be in the Whiterun jail or barracks depending on your progress through the main quest.

ere is also an option file, called "Monk edition". This will make her non-essential and also give her monk robes to look more like heimskr

She will use whichever vanilla replacer mods you have installed for armor. But her hair and body / face parts should be completely self contained. If you have issues try using the resurrect command on her by hitting the ~ button, select Hiemskr with the mouse, and type “resurrect”

preaches about gender equality
Didn't think that I would prefer Heimskr's preaching to anything else.
Oh god. I'm testing the mod and the "custom voice" is Emma Watson's UN speech on feminism.
Now that I have a new computer, I can finally play Skyrim at more than 30 FPS. Then, my first 5 minutes of the game showed me why that wasn't a good idea (dunno why the video stutters)

you should get modding and use live another life asap

I don't think I can tweak the daytime lighting anymore.
No ENB, no mods other than the test RLO weathers and game set to Ultra settings.
Stuck my X1 up to that and that's an assload of blue, what ToD is it supposed to be?
Stuck my X1 up to that and that's an assload of blue, what ToD is it supposed to be?
it looks like noon.

Noon.
Ambience and fog are based off of the sky. Sideways and uplighting are over half the saturation while keeping the downwards lighting the same colour as the midsky for an attempted skylighting / image-based look.

Man, mods have made oblivion gates really unstable in my game.
This isn't even the worst it's fucked up, last 3 I had to close using the console because the sigil stone just fucking vanished.
It does make it clear how dull they looked without the lighting and lightning strikes and such.
My Skyrim is forcing antialiasing all of a sudden.
It's also this ridiculously high AA, gotta be atleast 8x AA and I can't even see that much of a difference from 2x AA since my resolution's so tiny at 4:3.
Is there any way to disable it? The launcher doesn't do anything since it's disabled there, and the only other two things I'm running are ENB with most of the effects disabled and OneTweak for that flawless borderless fullscreen. I've also checked in the SkyrimPrefs.ini place and there's nothing AAish going on over there.
