Do the characters themselves have meaning or are they just lettres?
Afaik most are just letters, but they're often used to stand for things. i.e. Oht is used to symbolize Oblivion. Also Vehk is the (mortal?) name of Vivec, Ayem is a name for Almalexia, and Seht is a name for Sotha-Sil.
man, I can never figure out if I have my mods set up correctly. I used to be running into mimics all the time but now I havent seen a single one ever since I added immersive creatures. Still, I've been able to find the royal soldier and alva sets so maybe I'm just unlucky.
I've always been slightly disappointed that TES does foreign alphabets by matching them up 1:1 to Tamrielic, then having clues written in what's essentially a substitution cipher. It's the one bit of lore/worldbuilding that feels lazy.
Yeah that flash game is really good too! Lotsa quality in the animations.
Late reply but if you get 105 seconds or under you win a prize.
How the hell does this mod work? It implements cubemaps without the use of an ENB? [t]http://static-7.nexusmods.com/15/mods/110/images/65393-5-1430660053.jpg[/t]
You have to fake them ala gmod, guess someone took the monumental task of doing it for just about everything.
speak for itself
Doesn't contain the words "real", "immersive" "better" "lore-friendly" 0/Vivec
The ending of the words is BETTERLORENOMORE
Is there a mod/ini tweak that gives mountains shadows that display across the world? similar to this? [t]http://fc00.deviantart.net/fs71/i/2012/243/8/0/mt__fuji__s_shadow__yoshida_trail__japan_by_andrusm-d5d1v9d.jpg[/t] I'm hoping there is and it isn't outside of the engine limitations, because I've been searching for a while and can't find anything.
He's probably gone into Nikfskope and manually assigned it to a number of models. If any mod you install replaces model files, it likely won't work for those because it will undo the changes he made. It pisses me off to no end that environment mapping has been in the game engine for years but they never bothered to create reflection probes and universal environment mapping.
A couple of Miraak cultists barged into my home and attacked me. That's just rude, so I went to Solstheim to give Miraak a piece of my mind (and of my 30 pound metal death hammer). It's been so long since I last played Dragonborn I'd forgotten how much I enjoy it. I still love it.
Dragonborn is definitely the best of the Skyrim DLCs.
Well, considering Skyrim only had 2 major DLC (and one semi-major DLC), I'd go so far as to say that it's one of the best TES expansions altogether, if not the best. It was one of the very rare occasions where Bethesda did something almost 100% right, and boy does it shine like a diamond in the sea of utter "meh" they've been releasing lately.
No. Skyrim's shadows are horribly coded, you don't wanna try that. Newer games like Dying Light can do it, but Skyrim can't.
Actually, please do. I'm sure hilarity would ensue. I mean, as long as you don't bluescreen or something. But that would still be pretty funny.
Shivering Isles loudly says no.
Thus the "if not". :p I suppose I could've added "aside from Shivering Isles" at the end, but I only played SI once and that was an unreasonably long time ago, so I don't have much of an opinion on it anymore. It goes without saying that Sheogorath beats everyone in a contest of awesomeness.
So is this a bug or are you supposed to be able to join the dawnguard as a vampire? I'm a stage 1 and the main dawnguard guy even said something like "Our defences are so bad a vampire could walk right in the front door", which I did after being encouraged by the guard to join up.
I don't think people can recognise you as a stage 1 vampire. Also you're forced to join the dawnguard to start the questline. You can leave after completing the first mission.

anyone know if there exists a closed face edition of the nordic helmet?
Actually, please do. I'm sure hilarity would ensue. I mean, as long as you don't bluescreen or something. But that would still be pretty funny.
For some pants-on-head retarded reason, Skyrim forces your CPU to render shadows instead of using your graphics card. Making it so mountains like High Hrothgar generate massive shadows that cover a huge chunk of the land is a sure-fire way to create a nuclear meltdown in your own home.
anyone know if there exists a closed face edition of the nordic helmet?
Have you checked Nexus?
careful you might catch a pair of tits
careful you might catch a pair of tits
Yeah, that's happened to me before. Did not go over well.
hoyl FUCK you're gay
Are there any mods out there that change the way summoning spells work in Skyrim? I'd like my atronachs/dremora lords to appear directly at my side, not wherever I'm aiming. It's a real kick in the balls when you're aiming somewhere that a summoned creature can't appear (like the sky, at a dragon) but Smart Cast still wastes your magicka by casting the spell anyway even though nothing happened.
Is there any mod that makes dead thrall work on creatures?
this sounds like a great idea, i already have some letters from the orc to arexon, I could probably get rid of the "meet me in riverwood" and replace it with the orc saying "ill go to your hideout in <hideout location> and pay you a visit myself" I just need to find a vanilla location to use.
go the extra mile and make him a hideout if it's possible just something crazy basic, fill the entire room with nothing but a bed and empty wine bottles littering every possible surface including the floor so you have to trudge through them [editline]9th May 2015[/editline] and by bed i mean bedroll [editline]9th May 2015[/editline] it'd be entertaining to force the player to find the single filled wine bottle that has that crazy wine in it in a sea of empty bottles

Has there always been this many bandits behind whiterun? [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/718666459874334253/BDACA1A41FD1D89379E020C7334862959C0A7F26/[/t] There was a good 30-40 bandits there.
