For shits and giggles, I thought I'd install the Skyrim Romance mod, revisit my female char and see how bad it was. Its bad. Its like incorporating your game with a shitty Twilight fanfic. That's double the shitty to begin with. So I start off by going to find Bishop, an edgy, juvenile prick who is also one of the romance options and the main companion in the mod. Let's see what he has to say. This is the second thing Bishop says to you, like you're some peasant in a dress walking off the road to grovel, and not dressed from head to toe in full battle armour. The dialogue options basically amount to the former. There's only one dialogue branch and you don't get to retort this arsehole. You really think the Dragonborn is going to take that sort of shit? Anyway, I decided to delve a little deeper and visit Falkreath, on reference from the website, where I'm apparently going to be accosted by some violent thugs. So, I come across the thugs, lead by this guy called Thorn. He immediately takes to calling me a mouse and in a twist predictably similar to a Twilight fanfic, threatens to rape my character. You open this scenario by talking to him and asking if Bishop knows him, then the two have a conversation as Bishop steps in front of you and acts like your hero, brandishing his nail cutter iron knife and defending your honour. You don't get the option to talk, you just wait until they finish verbally sparring with frankly Shakespearean verses Before they're done, I get to hacking them to pieces with a sword the size of a prepubescent child. Surrounded by the bloody corpses of the thugs we've just mercilessly slaughtered and in full view of the Guards, a few hours after we've met, Bishop basically asks if I want to fuck him. ...
i always love watching this trailer, it makes owning that autographed soundtrack even better i got nothing on this, almost sounds like a mixture between the shout wall music and the main theme in a different arrangement.
Ahem.
i actually want to try this but im guessing they don't have support for male characters
The mod's probably dead but I guess the creator wanted to add women too or something But if you mean a male player for the male romances, you'd probably still get
MMM YOU SEXY WOMAN
which wouldn't really make much sense.
Is there a mod that removes the glow that magic weapons and armor have? The latest one he's tried is also pretty fucking bad : And it has the bonus of being a "private mod" ie some guy tried to slap a paywall on his stuff and inevitably got fucked.

It's just the author bitching about the moderators on the Steam Workshop, quoting Bob Dylan and Deep Purple songs, dedicating the mod to the dead keyboard player of Deep Purple, all really badly disguised as a story about the quest giver, and a disclaimer that beats you around the head about the references, in case you didn't get them. The Fighter's Guild by the same guy is even worse.

Novajam is my favorite Skyrim mod viewer and terribler. I love him.
I saw that in the comments, I thought that was a joke jesus christ [editline]17th May 2015[/editline] I kinda wanna see what the journal reads because that sounds too awful to be true
The journal in it's entirety, transcribed word for word:
"Everything's good, I said, everything's fine, You don't know, it's the end of your time" Or so the Bards song went, I just wish that was true. I spent today thinking of my favorite songs from Solitudes Bards College Nords in Time Strange kind of Argonian Smoke on the White River When a Blind Monk Cries Not forgetting the Oblivion Crisis remix of Woman from Winterhold. I was named after one of the bards who helped write and performed those songs, so I have felt a closeness to the college for that reason. When the sad news reached me last week that my name sake Jon Lord, had died aged 71. I could not help but think of those classic sons once more and returned to the Solitude Forum to talk to some old friends there about it. The forum was a nice place, built by the Skyrim's Steam Valve Company who also supplied the guards to watch over it. One of the guards at the Public Forum in of Solitudes darker alleys called such reminiscing "Pointless" and "Spam". Which nearly caused the Bards to riot over his insensitivity. The guard seemed to completely miss the whole DEAD part that had gotten people so upset in the first place before speaking and nearly causing a breach of the peace him self. Which always struck me as odd considering guards are supposed to keep the peace. During an earlier visit at to the Public Forum, I hears Jon talking about the Demons Eye, a story that went back to the Oblivion Crisis and an item Mehrunes Dagon's invasion forces used to outwit the Telvanni and run riot across Morrowind. Later the device fell in to hands of dark forces which used it to manipulate the Argonians in to striking against Morrowind and destroying house Telvanni. According to Jon, item was "The Demons Eye" and it had recently reappeared in Solitude. Within a day of Jon telling us that story, he was dead and shortly after my last visit to the Steam Public Forum in Solitude and the encounter with the guard. The forum had burned down too, killimg most of the witnesses to Jons story. Today a house stands where the forum used to be and is up for sale if anybody wants it. I guess the "The Times They Are A-Changing" as Dylan of the Bards College would have said. Clearly forces are at work here that mean to keep this device a secret, sooner or later they will come for me but I have evaded them for months so far because they simply do not know I exist. I have sworn to get to the bottom of this Demon's Eye before they get to me. But before I can start, I need to find some help here at the Telvanni hall. NOTE: The Demons Eye Quest is my tribute to the late great Jon Lord, Former keyboard player for Deep Purple. Any familiarities with real world places or people is entirely intentional.
was that an OOC or IC journal I don't even know
reminder that Bishop was stolen wholesale from Neverwinter Nights 2 and the mod author wanted to get money from this [editline]17th May 2015[/editline] i'll hunt you to the ends of the earth buddy
That's not all she stole, you'll find Mass Effect and Enclave assets as well. [editline]16th May 2015[/editline]
i actually want to try this but im guessing they don't have support for male characters
It has support for bottoms... make of that what you will, pun entirely intentional
I guess she stole the writing from Mass Effect as well. :quagmire:
The thing I notice with writers in mods is that they tend to have some sort of amazing concept in their head, and when they put it on paper it looks dumb but you're not sure if you're just being hard on yourself or it's truly dumb so they put it in anyways.
Anyone tried this mod? http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/40914/? Looks fun and a lot of people seem to like it. I downloaded it but it will take me a while to get to it.
I wish I was an experienced Creation Kit Mapper so I can create dungeons like in the Original Diablo with floors that get harder and harder.
I wish I was an experienced Creation Kit Mapper so I can create dungeons like in the Original Diablo with floors that get harder and harder.
That sounds fun. Speaking of Diablo, are there any dungeon or quest mods for Skyrim that are based on Diablo? I know there is a Medievil mod that's in the works
I wish I was an experienced Creation Kit Mapper so I can create dungeons like in the Original Diablo with floors that get harder and harder.
there are better games for that in my opinion "difficulty" in skyrim is mostly depending on how much health the enemies have and how likely it is for them to instakill you
there are better games for that in my opinion "difficulty" in skyrim is mostly depending on how much health the enemies have and how likely it is for them to instakill you
Isn't that what it's like in Diablo? The enemies don't get smarter, they get stronger. Also in the Creation Kit you can make enemies act smarter. There's a thing called Combat Style that determines when they should attack, how often they move around, ect ect. http://www.creationkit.com/Combat_Style [editline]16th May 2015[/editline] I could just imagine it, 8 unique floors about the size of whiterun Floor 1: level 2 Floor 2: level 4 3 : 8 4 : 16 5 : 32 6 : 64 7 : 128 8 : 256 [editline]16th May 2015[/editline] oh god now i want to stop working on arexon and make this happen
to be fair this is a central feature faced by literally everyone creating any kind of art
Isn't this why you have proofreaders or something for written media? They correct your grammar, fix your spelling and also tell you that you have the creative skills of spoiled Greek yogurt. I wouldn't know though. You could also just show your things to friends and see what they think. Edit: Ever since I looked at that Skyrim romance mod video and the Skyrim trailers I got these fucking things all over the place. send help
For people who were curious about the NPC AI overhaul, the guy has continued to make videos showing off his features, including some interesting mod compatibility features. According to him it'll be done by the end of the month but... we'll see.
Hmm, well I would be playing Oblivion right now if it wasn't crashing before it even got to the main menu *SIGN*

If this guy's doing this without scripts, he's underpaid for whatever he's doing as a job.
