Modders doing great work always make me happy. :D

My first mod to be excited for.
It'll probably invalidate quite a few of the existing AI mods out there. Look pretty awesome. Also I've been noticing that some of the lines from the FemaleNord voicetype in particular sound a bit monotone. "i've been hunting and fishing in these parts for years. :| " in particular sounds like the VA is trying really really hard to keep a straight face or something.

probably that journal mod
probably that journal mod
Thats funny, I've always had the mod since it came out, never had a problem with it before. [editline]17th May 2015[/editline] Btw: all hud, expect health, stamina, magicka and general subtitles are there. [editline]17th May 2015[/editline] I disabled all mods, and it still happens. I use nothing but MO for mods, so nothing is in my Skyrim Data folder. [editline]17th May 2015[/editline] So its something in skyrimprefs.ini [editline]17th May 2015[/editline] hahahaha, somehow fHUDOpacity= was 0. [editline]17th May 2015[/editline] Now I have this as a problem :v: Fuck it, I'll leave it like this, i want to god damn play.
I officially declare that whoever made NPCs able to spam Icy Spear should be strapped to a rack and flayed alive.
Whoever made NPCs able to cheat when it comes to magic should be flayed alive. You can really see it with the way they use wards, they basically never run out of magicka.
A tentacle explosion procced when I was using fire storm and I got this pretty cool looking effect imo [T]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/532893441130055533/92939A5DFE46AA0FA83754E3D1E5CF17D6998BCF/[/T]
NPCs never run out of magicka or stamina it seems. Or arrows.
Was looking again through some of the screenshots I've taken in Skyrim: [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/23972101222725538/96CFCBF116CECC29B76FA692015C24F01C57A2FD/[/t][t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/22841214602313752/8E89E17848B0B0CF12FB52E07CD24CF2BCDF9DC8/[/t][t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/22839855512777076/6735665093244ED1AE956694798D05109A5ED3B4/[/t] [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/633038195753607169/A443F57EBE6001B6E1E737B166F736F43FF07E78/[/t][t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/631908039702923642/FB985F7923CEDC9C074812EDB76F93853BAC3962/[/t][t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/596988571308882507/89571E11BA287B3B26CAE25845406A2269DB1AC1/[/t] Found silly ragdolls, race menu, floating npc's and badly timed dialog.
NPCs never run out of magicka or stamina it seems. Or arrows.
http://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimrequiem/comments/2i7ymq/why_npc_mages_are_op_and_how_to_fix_them_yourself/ this is what i found when it come to making them less op. there's a mod to make them use arrows, but apparently none that nerf their magicka regen rate, among other things
NPCs never run out of magicka or stamina it seems. Or arrows.
The reason Bethesda rarely have NPCs being impacted by their equipment is because it would horribly unbalance the game. For instance if there was an NPC whos purpose was purely to be an archer, that NPC would need tons of arrows in order to continue to fire at the player and once that NPC was killed, it would have all those arrows in its inventory, which means the player could get tons of those arrows. It's all because the way Bethesda handles economy and balance is radically different from how everything else works. A great example of this is how radiant AI turned out: If the NPCs actually could react to how little gold they had and how scarce food was in Oblivion, they'd end up stealing and killing each other until the prisons get crowded and the guard breaks in to steal the respawning piece of bread in each cell.
I completely reinstalled Oblivion and cleaned my registry and shit but it still crashes as soon as I launch it. idkwtf
I understand arrows, but my god, the magicka one is annoying.
NPCs can actually run out of magic in skyrim if you use half the charges on the staff of magnus on them. It usually just ends with them pulling out a dagger and becoming really easy, but it's usually just easier to kill them the regular way. The best way to balance magic in skyrim is usually just by giving more power to player spells. For instance this mod (while currently unsupported by the author) sort of balances things in favor of the player by making wards only drain magic if they get hit by a spell. Honestly, the thing I hate the most about NPC mages is that if an NPC is "protected" (can only be killed by the player, like some followers) they can still be killed by any spell because of how spell damage is handled in comparison to normal damage.
I only level up mage skilltrees after I'm practically 'done' with the game, i.e. 100+ in the important skilltrees like Heavy Armor and Light/Heavy weaponry.
Delete Ini files in your My Games/Oblivion* folder.
Oh hey that worked, thanks a bunch. [IMG]http://www.facepunch.com/fp/ratings/heart.png[/IMG] Here's Sero and a smiling flame atronach. [t]http://i.imgur.com/42Bayap.jpg[/t]
oh no, I did something and all the tree lods are boxes
oh no, I did something and all the tree lods are boxes
YOU FOOL YOU'VE DOOMED US ALL (What did you do?)
well i'm at 114 and it's still going strong
So how many mods can skyrim handle before it gets wonky? I'm sitting on 14 right now.
I'm at 40, with 20 of them being compatibility stuff, and it seems to be going pretty good except for the part that I can only dismiss followers by hitting them 4 times.
So how many mods can skyrim handle before it gets wonky? I'm sitting on 14 right now.
That's, like, nothing. I'm almost at the limit.
So how many mods can skyrim handle before it gets wonky? I'm sitting on 14 right now.
That depends entirely on what the mods do and how they interact with one another. You can break the game with one mod if it's terribly made. The max number of .esps you can have is 255 (including the base game and official DLCs).
wasn't the limit removed in a patch?
That patch corrected an issue with Steam Workshop bugging out if you were subscribed to more than 50 mods. The reason it's 255 is because of the way the game assigns IDs to objects in-game. The first 2 digits of the IDs are the hexadecimal representation of that .esp's or .esm's position in the load order with 00 being skyrim.esm and FF (the highest number you can represent with 2 hex digits: 255) being the last mod in the load order. To go over this would require a third digit (hex: 100), which Skyrim doesn't support.
wasn't the limit removed in a patch?
So how many mods can skyrim handle before it gets wonky? I'm sitting on 14 right now.
I've had 200+ and that was without any graphical mods except 2k textures and SMM I didn't crash much but loading screens were extremely long and i've had a lot of severe fps drops. I went to Dawnstar and crashed, then when i reloaded i crashed 5 seconds after the game loaded. No matter what i did, that happened. I disabled all my mods since i use mod organizer, but the game crashed after the loading screen so i've had enough and reinstalled everything. Now i'm back at 190 active plugins and about 10-15 mods that don't use plugins, including ENBoost and a memory patch, and it's very stable, more stable than it was before. I'm at lvl 8 at the moment and have only had two crashes. One happened after i alt tabbed out of the game 4 times in a row. I've also noticed no bugs whatsoever. [editline]17th May 2015[/editline]
wasn't the limit removed in a patch?
No but you can get around the limit with a bashed patch.
Somebody else did a video on another of Giskard's mods. jesus christ
I'm currently building lakeview manor and holy shit this thing devours resources and septims.
Hearthfire is such a boring DLC tbh. Too much time and resources for nothing. I prefer getting power, not a shitty house, a boring spouse and plastic children.
