What was the explanation of CHIM that had to do with a wheel, and sideways it was an I, and it kept going on.
The Aurbis is a wheel, with Oblivion as the space between the spokes, I forgot what the spokes are but the Aedra I think?, and Nirn at the center, all surrounded by void. Lorkhan flew out into the void and saw the wheel sideways, which is the Tower or I.
Ha, I drank a bottle of ale and the camera started forcing itself in random directions. Pretty accurate simulation of dizziness, at least.

also possible they refer to material links to the divine like the adamantine tower, white gold tower, red mountain, the throat of the world
"Lord Dagon, our Kyn at The Dreaded Refuge report that one of our gates has been closed by a drunkard!"
"...How embarrassing."

wait a second
the Nine are planets now? the fuck?
p. sure one of two of them are moons, and the other is the sun.
These are texts by Michael Kirkbride, they're not canon but they're the best we got.
http://www.imperial-library.info/content/cosmology
Masser and secunda are the moons, Magnus is the sun.
wait a second

We named our planets after gods.
That said, I'm pretty sure the planets are literally the Divines. Just like the sun is how our itty bitty mortal brains comprehend the holes to Aetherius where Magnus and his Magna Ge are chilling as the sun and the stars and what is possibly the floating corpse of Lorkhan as the moons, mortals see the unliving bodies of the Aedra/their realms/something weird as giant circles floating about in space.
edit: i should probably read links before posting but i'm not considering this a ninja'd so there
kind of strange how the wheel would spell I when turned sideways considering the oblivion planes and Atherius go on forever, unless the wheel's radius is infinite
then again, it is a simple model that the people in the TES universe is not supposed to be able to fully understand
why "I" though
why didn't he say "l" (L)?
Is it because of this sentence
"The only god is I"

Because CHIM is about self, and being totally in love with your self. I think it's supposed to be more metaphorical than literal.
http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:36_Lessons_of_Vivec,_Sermon_21 ?
-snip-
Yeah, it was a basic summary of that.
"Take a wheel, turn it sideways, and it looks like an I. That I is the Tower, the Tower is the wheel, and the wheel is everything that exists. "

so he just borrowed from wheel of time?
TES metaphysics is fucking weird, man. I'm glad we live in such a boring... dimension?
What even is the plane of existence that Mundus, Oblivion, Aetherius etc exist in, anyways?

Between Anu and Padomay/Sithis
the Aurbis
Here's a fan made image that's better than the one I posted
Between Anu and Padomay/Sithis
that was one gripe with the earlier chart you posted, i don't think Anu and Sithis are temporal, they're forces or energies or w/e
[editline]21st May 2015[/editline]
like primordial formless shit, idk if they're well represented by a venn diagram/physical space
So if I'm understanding correctly, it doesn't exist in what we consider the Universe? Or is it like a big self-contained bubble of weird somewhere?
TES is wheird.
TES is wheird.
and that's why we love it
Oh hey, Nuska of OCO fame made an equivalent of Practical Female Armors for Oblivion. I didn't even know it existed. Neat.

imho those are a lot better than Practical Female Armors, since they're actually complete redesigns for the female body. Really good stuff.
On the topic of cosmology, I feel it's a bit more appropriate to think of it more in terms of mysticism than Lovecraftian terms-- as being less a matter of us puny mortals only seeing what we can comprehend, and more a matter of all of those things having dual natures.
At least that's the vibe I've always gotten from reading Imperial Library and even Coda-- the gods are in fact gods, but they're also planets, and also gods at the same time . . .
Somewhat unrelated note, but I just realized how much all of that looks like a Dyson Sphere.

I hope we get a different but equally cool visual representation for the skills in the next TES.
I also hope having to rest to level up makes a comeback because being able to refill your entire health, stamina and magicka midfight felt cheap as fuck. If you had to sit your ass down and think for a second to level up it'd solve that issue.

Woah hey ok now, I never noticed that the thief looks vaguely beast race-y, or at least it does to me, but then the warrior and especially mage are pretty clearly more human.
Fucking space itself is racist. :v:
