The Elder Scrolls Megathread XVII: Paid Mods? Not in My Community.

Well, I've modded the fuck out of Oblivion's armor to the point where I can almost tolerate it.
One more thing in the way of me taking the game seriously is taken care of. :v:
Woah hey ok now, I never noticed that the thief looks vaguely beast race-y, or at least it does to me, but then the warrior and especially mage are pretty clearly more human.
Fucking space itself is racist. :v:
TES is a game where black people are a separate species.
I think it's pretty obvious it's a racist as fuck world :v:

Well they're still considered human, they just have a different origin or smt

Is this a mod? Link please

they're not a separate species they're a separate race
men: men
mer: elves
beast: yiff and rrerr
I never noticed that the PC in Oblivion can scowl at someone they have a low disposition with like the NPCs. That "bad smell" face is hilarious.
I hope they keep the current perk system and just optimize it a bit. The standing stone + perk trees is really functional, all it needs is more meaningful perks.
Though I'd love it if classes came back so you can get a head start in whatever the heck you plan on doing with your character.
any modders out there that are willing to help me with setting up SKSE script compiling?
I've installed it correctly but the compiler doesn't like compiling SKSE commands

They're all based off the birth signs from Oblivion, so they're all human.

Oh, shit. Shows how much attention I was paying to those pictures all the dozens and dozens of times I started a new character. Still, I think literal space racism wouldn't be too out of place with a lore like this.
I poked my head into an Ayleid ruin near Bruma and got killed by a Draugr. They're following me! D:
So I was looking for some nice bard clothes, and then...
I made an NPC that looks like the game's player. It works after modifying some scripts but I don't know what to name it. It's pretty much like the Corrupted Clone in Shivering Isles DLC.
"Your Worst Fear"
"Your Greatest Fear"
"Doppelgänger"
or just the player's name
Dark "Player's Name"
Dark "Player's Name"
Make him jump on your sword unless you do a power attack

It's not only from Oblivion but goes back to at least Daggerfall (I don't remember it from Arena). The character creation system in Daggerfall when you answer questions has a really cool and intricate visual representation where each of the constellations light up more if your answers fit them more.
I can't find a video of it but it looks really fucking neat.
I don't know if this is old news, but apparently the groovetama version of the xpms skeleton added a feature that lets you change the positions and animations used for different weapon types in racemenu.

Basically what this lets you do is override mods like other skeleton mods and animation mods and instead just throws all of it into racemenu, essentially removing 20% of the stress when installing mods like dual sheath redux by letting you change it there instead of constantly tinkering with mods and restarting the game. It even has separate options for players and NPCs and left- and right-handed weapons.
Only problem is that it has some issues with mods like HDT equipment and seems to be both affected by and somewhat increases script latency because it's constantly updating the weapon positions. It looks like a useful concept, though.

Nord: "Fine, be that way."

That... almost made sense. That's how I would react, anyways :v:
I might as well disenchant every items I got for my own in the future, see if it's better.

Anyway, any good mods like enchanced cities or something?
I wish we could've seen the absolute chaos of the Oblivion Crisis in the other provinces. Skyrim's holds being wiped out and the Argonians invading hell would make for amazing miniseries if it was done right.

Kind of like the Elder Scrolls equivalent of a disaster flick. Would be fun :v:

TES Adventures game taking place in the Summerset Isles during the Crisis and the rise of the Thalmor, please.
I really want them to lend the TES universe to some other studio to make more TESA games, I don't want Beth to take any focus away from the sandbox RPG games but there's a lot you could do for linear singleplayer games in the TES universe that would be cool. So long as they have Kirkbride or someone there to make sure they get things right and don't make a gross fantasy blob, of course.
Is immersive creatures a terrible choice of mod to install? i've had it for a playthrough before but after many CTD's i uninstalled it which instantly fixed everything. this was a year or so ago though so maybe things have gotten better. is it worth trying it out?
That XPMS update is looking pretty good

Perfect way to turn my Imperial dude into a leprechaun boxer
[sp]funny, i never realized sweetfx doesn't apply to steam screenshots[/sp]
I can't figure out how to change the animations though, I don't see a slider anywhere.
Orc: "What do you want?"
Redguard: "Have you heard anything about the other provinces?"
Orc: "Nothing I'd like to talk about."
Redguard: "See you!"
Orc: "STOP TALKING."

I can't figure out how to change the animations though, I don't see a slider anywhere.
if you installed the new animations in the 2.75 version, they change based on the the weapon style sliders

Figured out the issue, I just hadn't updated FNIS in a century. Or SKSE. Or anything. Should probably try and do that every now and then.
Also updating things fixed the HDT equipment mod that's somehow become forever stuck in my game even though I installed it through Mod Organizer flipping out constantly so yay
Welp, somebody is finally doing it

So here's what you do:

ScrapHeapSizeMB=256

What are you putting this in to?

How hard would it be to add a world model to an existing piece of armor? Currently these dark souls 2 armors disappear completely if they're dropped.
