haha yeah charging standard price for their game how silly Regardless, I can tell that the circlejerk of hate for ESO on this forum is strong, fair enough, but it isn't bad.
I know nothing of the ESO except that when it originally came out it was subscription based and it was lacking in content in some ways. Anybody here still play it?
I still can't get over how absolutely fucked the lore is in ESO.
Imagine posting something from 4chan
Imagine generalizing an entire community. I mean, facepunch is just full of gasmask wearing weirdos right?
haha yeah charging standard price for their game how silly Regardless, I can tell that the circlejerk of hate for ESO on this forum is strong, fair enough, but it isn't bad.
It could literally be the best MMO on the face of the Earth, but that wouldn't change the fact that it's a garbage Elder Scrolls game and shits on the lore all the time. Most TES fans are pretty deep into the whole lore thing, which is why most TES fans don't like Online.
Most TES fans are pretty deep into the whole lore thing
Most genuine fans, at least. There seems to be a lot of people who play it just to take hipsteriffic screenshots or watch goofy-looking women with 2 ton tits get raped by unpleasant creatures.
Most genuine fans, at least. There seems to be a lot of people who play it just to take hipsteriffic screenshots or watch goofy-looking women with 2 ton tits get raped by unpleasant creatures.
Huh. Now have a sudden urge to buy.
...watch goofy-looking women with 2 ton tits get raped by unpleasant creatures.
You're telling me that isn't the point of Skyrim? :v: I don't know much about the lore and I can't really count myself in as a genuine fan because Skyrim was the first one I played for real. The game's nowhere near the production quality of a regular game like, say, The Witcher 3, but it's good fun nonetheless. Even when you're done you can just mod that shit and bam, game renewed. That's one reason why I didn't even look at TESO; why would you even think about making a TES game be unmoddable? If anything just try to throw in broken co-op into the next singleplayer game.

Did you guys know that the vanilla glass armor for Oblivion in certain lighting is the exact same shade of green I associate with graphics card failure? I sure as hell didn't until the green in the corner started giving me a fucking anxiety attack.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/FnMSpUF.jpg[/t] *implodes* Can I take it with me? Carrying it around would probably fortify my Willpower by 50 :v:
it doesn't help that I launched Oblivion specifically to prove that my graphics card wasn't failing [editline]1st June 2015[/editline] that was supposed to merge, oh well
Now creatures are making weird BZZZZZZZZZ noises when they die I really wish these games would stop breaking in insignificant but annoying ways :v:

Because that's what it sounds like to me
I gave Aela a bow and she's still attacking with a dagger. There must be a fix.
I gave Aela a bow and she's still attacking with a dagger. There must be a fix.
Give her arrows too. :v:
I still can't get over how absolutely fucked the lore is in ESO.
I am not reading that long ass post. [editline]1st June 2015[/editline]
haha yeah charging standard price for their game how silly Regardless, I can tell that the circlejerk of hate for ESO on this forum is strong, fair enough, but it isn't bad.
Also, didn't I just say I was Interested in trying it out? Just not for $60 fucking dollars :v:. I could re-activate my WoW account for HALF of that.
Give her arrows too. :v:
I already gave her 500 arrows, but no, still a dagger. [editline]1st June 2015[/editline] Also, 7 levels to max out Smithing
I still can't get over how absolutely fucked the lore is in ESO.
It helps when you have ADD and can't read anything for more than ten seconds without getting bored or getting distracted. I'm so ignorant about TES lore outside of the events of the core games that I honestly don't give a shit what TESO changed. It feels great. [editline]1st June 2015[/editline] And by the core games I really just mean Oblivion and Skyrim. [editline]1st June 2015[/editline] okay mostly skyrim
I'm so ignorant about TES lore outside of the events of the core games...
I'm sorry for your loss.
It's a video game
If the Warcraft, Elder Scrolls and Diablo universes didn't have any lore, the games would be a lot less interesting for me.
I still can't get over how absolutely fucked the lore is in ESO.
Atleast ESO is non-canon iirc
-snip stupid tiny iphone keys-
Atleast ESO is non-canon iirc
Not officially stated, it's as canon as you want it to be. Also, not sure if this was intended or just them paving things over after the fact, but it's not all bad. The Nord king, King Jorunn, is apparently [sp]just a puppet for the Tribunal, since otherwise the Nords would get even more upset about the Pact, and the Dunmer would lose their convenient army of cannon fodder humans.[/sp] Argonians are in the Pact for protection more than anything else, plus the Dunmer have temporarily released their slaves for the war effort and given them some land to live on, so they're grateful. Orcs are still considered mindless brutes by the Covenant; I'm pretty sure they're just being manipulated into being cannon fodder like the Nords are. Also there's apparently an upcoming Orsinium expansion with a focus on how the majority of orcs absolutely hate their super gullible king and want to leave the Covenant. Cyrodiil being grassland is probably because of CHIM being used retroactively or something. There's books in the game by a Lady Cinnabar which insist that Phrastus of Elinhir (transcription error guy and Schick's author avatar) is an idiot and that Cyrodiil had been jungle; she theorizes that the White-Gold Tower (One of THE Towers, which anchor reality around them) shifted Cyrodiil from jungle to grassland when its Ayleid creators were ousted by the Imperials. Also considering this is during the Interregnum, basically the TES universe's Super-Dark Age, and none of the major factions are aware of the true nature of the Planemeld, it's not too strange we don't find any books about it. Also there's books from the future in the game (this happened in Morrowind too), so it's possible that the corruption of the Chim-el-Abadal (which houses the souls of Dragonborns, which are pretty much shards of linear time) caused some time shenanigans.
if beth made coop in TES, I would buy it in a second
Think about it! The host can be the main story character and the co-op partner can be the follower. Would also be cool if you could somehow play co-op with mods if you had a exactly similar plugin list. I'd kill for this shit.
Most genuine fans, at least. There seems to be a lot of people who play it just to take hipsteriffic screenshots or watch goofy-looking women with 2 ton tits get raped by unpleasant creatures.
I would call myself a genuine fan I neither care for the bullshit lore, high graphics, or adult mods.
Did somebody say "Co-Op"? It's local only, and you might want to set up one of those programs that map gamepad controls to keys.
Anywhere I can get a cheap digital copy of Oblivion for Steam? Cheapest I can find it is £15 on Steam.
