i forgot those two existed
Why do you have to post that again
Why
We must never forget our sins, nor the sins of those amongst us.
I gotta wonder what drives people to do those mods in particular. They're just odd. Even the LoverSlab mods seem like they have some sense to them, no matter how fucked up and ILLEGAL they may be.
ILLEGAL
Do they violate copyright laws a lot or something?
watch goofy-looking women with 2 ton tits get raped by unpleasant creatures.
You mean that isn't part of the lore?
Do they violate copyright laws a lot or something?
I think he meant the pedophilic mods I assume exist (I am NOT checking), but there is a few non-fetish modders who prefer Loverslab because they don't care about copyright, and don't have a dumb post restriction like GUNetwork.
Do they violate copyright laws a lot or something?
They do, that and the fact that bestiality is illegal!! Impregnation by chauruses is morally illegal.

They do bruv. I'm pretty sure there was a minor shitstorm about it too at some point, I think it was called Children of the Skies?
LoverSlab discussion enlightens us all.

I don't think anyone would be arrested for creepy fetish mods unless they portray child molestation.
"What are you in for?"
"I made a mod for a videogame that makes the animals have sex with you."
"ok"

If I recall correctly the pedo mods all got banned.
Why does my healing spell always insist on failing just as I'm about to get my leg bitten off or get my face caved in with a warhammer?
That's terribly inconvenient.
A lot of people ended up going to Loverslab because Nexus is full of really stupid posting restriction (ie you can't criticize anyone's work or argue with anyone or it's an instant ban with no chance of appeal) rather than for the NSFW mods directly.
I don't blame them, the Nexus' rules on posting are so draconian it's borderline dystopian.
Nice to know that Nexus is adopting a style of moderation that is the equivalent of DeviantArt.
But everyone is still going to keep posting all the good mods to the Nexus. We need an alternative badly.
[editline]asdf[/editline]
With a quality filter.
An alternative to Nexus would start off good but would end up into the huge turd it tried to avoid in the first place.
Most people that can afford space and bandwidth for assloads of community content can do so because they either shaft their users through a monthly premium/privileged accounts subscription or they're just not really clean to begin with.

The nexus has a shitton of content filter, you can outright remove mods from search results that have specific tags associated to them. That's their main argument when it comes to why you can't criticize anything on the forums.

I mean, like, someone overseeing the uploads. Like a sort of bouncer, but for mods.
"Nature overhaul? You can pass.
Sound effects mod? Go on through.
Waifu follower? Get the fuck out of here."

Nobody would be willing to go through that though.

But then you'd have people complaining all the fucking time about what constitutes a standard or not and you'd end up with fresh drama every day and a half.
People have different standards and look for different things in mods. The problem with the Nexus' current policy of no criticism allowed is not that it allows people to make cookie cutter waifu followers, it's that it allows people to make garbage and get away with it without actual feedback, which is part of the reason why modders got hit so hard by all the sudden lack of support when they tried to monetize their stuff, considering that beforehand it was literally impossible to say anything negative about a mod without having your post removed and your account banned.
Wow, I actually found a little scripted scene added by that Balmora Sewers mod. A whole conversation made of the canned NPC lines and a short fight. :v: I didn't even know that kind of thing was possible in Morrowind.

There should definitely be atleast some minor curation, either by criticism or by gating content. The paid Workshop for Skyrim was living proof that you can't just go all willy nilly. The Nexus works fine now I guess, I haven't really had much problems with it, but change could be good.
As great as coop seams, it would also ruin the feeling of loneliness and you're own place away from reality if you were playing with another human. I'd rather have coop in Fallout 4.
Oh yeah, and some friends to play it with

but Fallout is way more about the sense of loneliness than TES?
I think he means immersion by loneliness. I agree that I feel immersion is a big key factor in TES. While the new Fallout games are alright, I never immersed myself as much in them, as in an Elder Scrolls game.
I find myself more immersed in Fallout than TES.
I don't need immersion to feel lonely.
Immersed? How can someone be immersed when guards aren't even aware of their surroundings?

I need to know if there are two mods out there:
1. A mod that adds numerical values on top of your health, stamina, and magicka bars so you can see the exact amount of health/stamina/magicka you have at any given time. Bonus points if it's compatible with iHUD.
2. A mod that allows you to kill Serana when she tries to find you at Fort Dawnguard, and then immediately go to Castle Volkihar and slay Lord Harkon.

This was the weirdest thing to me when I played Dawnguard. Aren't the guys supposed to be vampire hunters and stuff? Why not just straight up hunt all the vampires?

Well they had to build up their strength and resources first, but I agree.
Though at the ending of the Dawnguard side of the DLC they do assault Volkihar directly.
