Well they had to build up their strength and resources first, but I agree. Though at the ending of the Dawnguard side of the DLC they do assault Volkihar directly.
Yeah, I'm just curious as to why they, in all their hatred for vampires, didn't just go 100% zeal mode and slaughter everything right quick. On another note, does anyone have a .zip of Improved Eyes Skyrim laying around? It's hidden right now and I heard it was pretty good, but it looks like I'm late to the party.
This was the weirdest thing to me when I played Dawnguard. Aren't the guys supposed to be vampire hunters and stuff? Why not just straight up hunt all the vampires?
Why not kill her when she has a fucking Elder Scroll? Or when she allows you to waltz right into the crappy wannabe Castlevania and slay all the leeches? Why not break down the gate? Why not clear the rubble when you sneak in the back way and jump the parasites? Why not kill Serana when learning only her blood can corrupt the bow as like a Mass Effect-style "Renegade" option? Why install that trainwreck? Just who at Bethsoft made that fucking waifu, Serana? I'll jam that Molag Bal statue up their butt.
really, why don't we just punch alduin at the start of the game oh, right, our hands were tied literally the only reason you couldn't do it rope confirmed stronger than dragons
there is literally no reason you can't kill serena at that start quest except she is essential why beth why
I don't need immersion to feel lonely.
You're braver than I am.
I like how the game at least adds dialogue options with Serana to show that you don't like her. Except how they get inexplicably removed when she comes to you saying "hey i fled the castle can you help me kill my dad?". Why can't I be a douche and tell her no then? Why does she have to force herself to be my follower? Why can't I take my Daedric sword with chaos enchantment and wreck her shit mid-sentence, put the Elder Scroll in a safe place (or give it to the moth priest), and then lead a charge on Castle Volkihar to exterminate those fish-faced bastards once and for all?
BECAUSE WAIFU
BECAUSE WAIFU
She's a pleb-tier waifu and anyone that loves her is not a real man. [editline]2nd June 2015[/editline] But all of this Dawnguard shit aside, what about the first one? I'd love a mod that adds numerical values (like 100/100 or 75/100 or whatever) to your stat bars and I'd love it even more if it's compatible with iHUD.
Serana's voice is like nails on chalkboard and all of her dialogue options reek of mary sue grade failed badassery. Even the dialogue options built around the PC not liking her still end up in Serana acting all up and mighty. She's the perfect example of why I dislike vampires in fiction so much.
Man, say what you will about Serana as a character but I still think Laura Bailey has a nice voice. :p
Bethesda is lazy. Or maybe they ran out of voice acting money. Again.
never seen this one before, but no idea how to embed this shit
Bethesda is lazy. Or maybe they ran out of voice acting money. Again.
It's Laura Bailey, AKA Anime Voice Actor #234245 She voices nearly every single female character in the New Vegas DLCs aswell
I actually like Serana. I feel as if she at least has some personality when compared to literally every other character in the game. I liked travelling with her, I liked hearing what she had to say. I truly did not hate her for a single thing throughout all of Dawnguard. But thats just my opinion.

Maybe I'm just a sociopath but I don't see much of a personality with Serana. Just Daddy/Mommy issues.

Dunno why there is so little beast race content, you don't really need to be a furry to appreciate them.
Serana was seriously the most annoying companion character in any roleplaying game I've played. Every time she sees an enemy, no matter what, "Where did you come from? Where did you come from? Where did you come from?"

You're making me carry the heavy stuff, aren't you? You're making me carry the heavy stuff, aren't you? You're making me carry the heavy stuff, aren't you? You're making me carry the heavy stuff, aren't you? I am sworn to carry your burdens...
Don't blame the character, blame the engine.
Hopefully in the next game they'll try a little harder with followers in terms of actual personality instead of just "find my necklace and I will fight to the death for you."

Everything she says is so deadpan and lackadaisical.
Guh, some mod added an object that's missing its mesh and I have no idea what it's from.
Guh, some mod added an object that's missing its mesh and I have no idea what it's from.
Click on that thing with the console maybe? If you're using a certain mod it should show what .esp added that thing into the game.
Morrowind. And I figured it out, it was Real Wildlife. Some of the meshes and textures weren't packaged with the version I downloaded. Lame. [editline]asdf[/editline] There were a couple cliff racers hovering around Shulk Egg Mine, so I launched a spell at one. I thought it was just a generic racer, but it turns out it was just far away and actually had a 6-7 foot wingspan. D: I died in two hits lol
Don't blame the character, blame the engine.
more like blame the lack of recorded dialog. Or just doing the smart thing and if the player has asked to open the inventory menu of an NPC once they won't say their line until the next day or w/e. [editline]2nd June 2015[/editline]
Anyone know if it's safe to rename esp's with no dependencies?
It should be safe to rename esps as long as there are no other plugins that rely on them.
more like blame the lack of recorded dialog. Or just doing the smart thing and if the player has asked to open the inventory menu of an NPC once they won't say their line until the next day or w/e.
knowing this engine i wouldn't be surprised if solving either one of those problems causes the entire game to grind to a halt on consoles
Bethesda has a hard time making good characters. Neloth from Dragonborn is basically the only one I can think of.
Bethesda has a hard time making good characters. Neloth from Dragonborn is basically the only one I can think of.
One does not simply forget Sheogorath
I loved Miraak's voice and look, I wish they featured him more.

Or just doing the smart thing and if the player has asked to open the inventory menu of an NPC once they won't say their line until the next day or w/e.
Do I get to keep it? Nah, just kidding! Belrand + J'zargo all day. I got deadly combat and another combat mod and combined them with immersive weapons and some magic mods and UFO so I basically needed at least one follower to survive anywhere I went because the combat was so hard and so varied and it was so much fun I actually got into Skyrim again. When you get it just right and carve through multiple hyper deadly enemies without getting hurt it's extremely satisfying.
People seriously still use UFO? Why?
One does not simply forget Sheogorath
Oblivion had lots of good characters, really. Morrowind had quite a few, Daggerfall did as well, even Fallout 3 had some here and there. They were never mindblowingly amazing at portraying characters, but they did good in the past. Just fucked up completely in Skyrim.
