People seriously still use UFO? Why?
Is there a better alternative? I just downloaded the first thing I found that did what I wanted, I'm not real picky.
But all of this Dawnguard shit aside, what about the first one? I'd love a mod that adds numerical values (like 100/100 or 75/100 or whatever) to your stat bars and I'd love it even more if it's compatible with iHUD.
so uh
Is there a better alternative? I just downloaded the first thing I found that did what I wanted, I'm not real picky.
Extensible Follower Framework. UFO is just outdated now.
I tried UFO once and I couldn't even make it a quarter way through the instructions because they seem to be written by a 13 year old who is in their first year of English as a second language And then I immediately switched to EFF and it is great, though the deafening stealthmode activation sound threw me off a bit before I knew you cold turn it off
As great as coop seams, it would also ruin the feeling of loneliness and you're own place away from reality if you were playing with another human. I'd rather have coop in Fallout 4. Oh yeah, and some friends to play it with
No one said Co Op had to be mandatory.
I'd like to see a coop game set in TES but made by another developer, if only for the fact I just don't trust bethesda with doing anything out of the ordinary because to put it bluntly they fucking suck as developers and can't innovate for shit :v:
ESO is surprisingly fun, and this is coming from someone who made fun of it nonstop ever since it came out
I'd really like to see Bethesda hand over the TES license to Arkane for a single spin off game and see how they fare. They did a fantastic job on the Might & Magic universe with Dark Messiah (although the game has not aged very well outside of its combat system, which in itself suffers from heavy balancing issues) so a game that's only set in the universe without following the typical open world mechanics would be nice to play until TES VI comes out. It's a bit of a shame that the original team in charge of TES has no real competence outside of their current realm because that really limits what we can expect from a TES game if Bethsoft handles the development part.
The fact that they didn't even carry over the companion wheel from New Vegas shows how much the TES team refuses to change the formula.
I think they probably couldn't figure out how to include the companion wheel and were too ashamed to ask. Remember the ladder thing ? You could smell Todd Howard's embarrassment through the tweet.
I still don't get why Cyrodiil should be covered in jungle, with taiga just directly north. Temperate forest and grassland, while mundane, make much more sense.
I think they probably couldn't figure out how to include the companion wheel and were too ashamed to ask. Remember the ladder thing ? You could smell Todd Howard's embarrassment through the tweet.
That's the weirdest thing about Bethesda. They really can't seem to innovate at all with features that seem so simple and basic for other RPG games. When I first played Skyrim and realized I didn't have a companion wheel/action menu I went "huh." When I saw a ladder and couldn't do anything to climb up it unless it was a level transition I also went "hm." Shit is just weird, but it's something you learn to accept with Beth. I hope FO4 breaks this trend, even if only by a little bit.
I wouldn't be surprised at all if FO4 was set in Alaska/Canada or at least a Nuclear Winter situation if only for the fact it'd allow them to reuse the snow stuff they developed for Skyrim.
I bet you bethesda will forget to include footprints again [editline]3rd June 2015[/editline]
When I saw a ladder and couldn't do anything to climb up it unless it was a level transition I also went "hm.".
Fallout 3 has ladder climbing animations left unused in the files :v:
One day, we tried to figure out why we wanted ladders so bad because we don't really need them. It just felt like we're game development pussies because we can't do ladders
source
I swear to god if they use that abomination of Gamebryo...
I swear to god if they use that abomination of Gamebryo...
they do
they do
Really? That looked different enough to say "maybe it's a new engine." Atleast that means I can run it with my ghetto ass PC. Hopefully TESVI gets a new new engine.
It's pumped up Creation Engine but the LODs are still shit and the grass still has no shadows, so yeah. Still hyped as fuck though
grass still has no shadows, so yeah.
No, actually the grass has shadows. At least they do in this shot
On a non-Fallout note, I got this mod and I found a bath house in Morthal. There's just a bunch of naked people in it and a chick shoveling coal around. It's a good mod, it gives a lot of life to the teeny tiny cities the game had originally but I'd love a mod that could do the same for orcish strongholds, make them huge.
oh wow. finished 'Old Friends', where you are rewarded with a bed and a chest... but you're not. "Bethesda's response to this was: "Neloth is eccentric and possibly insane so you should take whatever he promises with a grain of salt." t-thanks bethesda.
What was the deal with Immersive Armors again? I remember you guys said something about every armor piece added by Immersive Armors had a layer of invisible polygons over it. Like, a pair of gauntlets has an invisible layers over it that still gets rendered and it kills frame rate?
Anyone know the name of the mod that adds varying quality items into the levelled lists? The one where bandits can have a chance of having something like a Legendary quality sword. Also is there a mod that adds different races into the imperial army so it isn't just filled with imps?
just filled with imps?
Shit, those guys were actually imps? I feel so deceived.

Yeah those are entire suits of armor, so your character is literally wearing five suits of armor at once as far as the engine is concerned.
You're thinking of a different mod. Immersive Armors doesn't have that.
Both IA and OmegaRed have entire suits smashed into the nif. The clean armors in IA aren't Hothtrooper's.
