I have no idea why I can't bring myself to like the Imperials. I'm the type of guy that always looks at the bigger picture, the guy that goes for the lesser evil even if it goes against my morals and I try so hard to apply that to Skyrim... but I'm always siding with Ulfric and leading us up to arse-elves fucking everyone in Tamriel over. I think it's because of the nordic theme being pulled off really well in Skyrim and since the Imperials are just the same old boring roman legion dudes it ends up with me being turned away from them, not to mention the fact that I hate how they surrendered to the elves despite the fact that I know they had no choice in the matter. Please fix my beliefs

In essence, he's literally Hitler.
He's Hitler if Hitler was manly and beautiful, but also dumb enough to be considered helpful by his archnemesis.
What if there was an Elder Scrolls fighting game?
What if there was an Elder Scrolls fighting game?
I'd main Sotha Sil. I've always wondered what the original "arena fighter" TES was gonna be. I assume that means you'd just be thrown into an open area full of enemies and told to kill them or something, but that seems so feature bare that I don't know how someone would consider that good enough to be a game. Then again, the whole open world thing did start with them adding the ability to explore the cities the arenas were in, and then just going nuts, so I suppose they realized that.
Honestly, I kinda wish you could help the Thalmor establish direct Dominion control over Skyrim. Not that I agree with their plans to essentially destroy the world by setting Akatosh free or anything, they just seem like the only faction that could successfully extract itself from a wet paper bag if it proved necessary . . . both the Empire and Stormcloaks are just incredibly terrible at doing whatever it is they're trying to do.
Hitler was pretty helpful in substantiating the US and Russia's places as super powers though.
I don't think they were really planning on him doing that, though. Not to mention, that required the US and Russia to actually do something. The Thalmor can just sit back and relax while Skyrim conquers itself for them. edit: Japanese modders are best modders [t]http://static-7.nexusmods.com/15/mods/110/images/66860-0-1434205380.png[/t] http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/66860/?
Ulfric is a giant douchebag.
Which is why I'm still looking for a mod where you kill both him and the Imperial leader, then take over as the Dovahking.
What if there was an Elder Scrolls fighting game?
I imagine it would be like a mix of Tekken and Soul Calibur. I'd play it if it had a character creator that have the appearance customization of Soul Calibur and moveset customization of Mortal Kombat Armageddon
Ulfric is a giant douchebag.
Yeah, that's kind of obvious. I mostly join the Stormcloaks for someone like Ralof, he's nice. It kinda made me sad that you couldn't have Hadvar or Ralof as a follower after the Civil War was done, would make sense considering you did pretty much everything together.
Does anyone know what this annoying symbol on the bottom of my screen is from? None of my mods add this, at least to my awareness, but it disappears whenever my HUD does and definitely isn't part of ENBseries or something. [t]http://i.imgur.com/WbQUmuB.jpg[/t]

Skyrim is like all cold gray morality, and that pretty much comes from not being able to actually fight the REAL problem. I wanna just get the stormcloaks and imperials and be like "Dudes you're sitting here killing each other, when you really need to destroy these damned elves!".
I not a total lore nut, but what makes elves so magically better than humans in terms of warfare?
magic
You're fucking everyone else over too, not just the boring autocratic imperials; you're essentially leaving the Khajiit and Argonians with a side dish of Orcs to deal with the Thalmor by themselves.
the khajiit love the aldmeri dominion though, as the elves convinced the khajiit that they returned the moons to them so they'd be even worse off, just the orcs and the argonians (maybe)
Hammerfell managed to ward of the Aldmeri by themselves though
ive always been misty on this one there's hints to it in that one whiterun quest where the alik'r come in to town, but are there any sources for this outside of their dialogue? given that both sides of that quest are intentionally designed to appear untrustworthy
Hammerfell managed to ward of the Aldmeri by themselves though
Hammerfell had help from an Imperial Legion (when they were called back to Cyrodiil, their general unofficially told them to desert and defend Hammerfell), plus they have an ENORMOUS desert of doom that few outsiders can survive. I can see the Thalmer just ignoring the orcs and Argonians though. Neither are really worth the trouble; orcs are tricky to track down, and Black Marsh is stupidly difficult to invade just to get at a race of harmless, uninvolved lizard people.
They'll invade both, but not before they have complete dominion of everywhere else.
Well good luck with Black Marsh. Mehrunes Dagon, lord of what is basically Hell, who has near-infinite hordes of demons, is terrified of Black Marsh. I kinda feel like whoever wins over the argonians is gonna be the victor, because they've proven their first reaction to an invasion from Hell is to waltz into its house and beat the everliving fuck out of it. Whether you're a prissy, pointy-eared Nazi, a Viking, or a wimpy Roman wannabe, you're not gonna last long against them.
They'll invade both, but not before they have complete dominion of everywhere else.
You can't invade the orcs, they're scattered all over the northern provinces since High Rock burnt down Orsinium again. And I really can't see them bothering with the Argonians. Besides Black Marsh being the Amazon rainforest on electrodemon steroids, the Argonians don't get involved in events much, and the Hist aren't gonna bother preventing the Thalmor from unmaking the world. The Hist have survived the ends of other kalpas, and are probably not even from the Aurbis; this shouldn't concern them. [editline]13th June 2015[/editline]
I not a total lore nut, but what makes elves so magically better than humans in terms of warfare?
Humans usually have an advantage due to sheer numbers, but the Oblivion Crisis wore down on the Imperial Legion. Also elves, especially elf mages, live a stupidly long time, and Altmer are exceedingly skilled with magic, even more so if they've had hundreds of years to study it.

I'm kind of hoping that the Thalmor do invade Black Marsh so they can get completely fucking annihilated when the Argonians counter-attack the Isles.
I'm kind of hoping that the Thalmor do invade Black Marsh so they can get completely fucking annihilated when the Argonians counter-attack the Isles.
Well when Online is near the end of its rope, they'll prolly have to work on TESVI: Dominion and bring us to Black Marsh, Valenwood or Elsweyr. Or all of the above if they stick to the plan of making worlds bigger and bigger.
