Oh right, I forgot about that. But Online would probably bite the dust before Dominion hits store shelves either way, especially considering that Fallout 4 is gonna be Bethesda Softworks' baby for the next few years. Unless they decide to split development between the Fallout 4 expansions and Elder Scrolls 6.
I not a total lore nut, but what makes elves so magically better than humans in terms of warfare?
What it boils down to is that at the end of Oblivion, the Amulet of Kings was broken. Akatosh promised Alessia that as long as her descendants held the Amulet, their Empire would thrive . . . and in the 200 years after the end of the Crisis, it did anything but that. The Septim dynasty was replaced by a weaker regime with less actual power over the lords and councils, mages were blamed for the Crisis (leading to the closing of the Arcane University, and technological regression across Cyrodill), and the Empire apparently lost most of its actual control over its various vassal provinces. Meanwhile, the Thalmor were able to create a narrative with themselves as saviors of the Summerset Isles, unify the various Altmer kingdoms for the first time in centuries, and drill a nationalistic, militaristic mindset into the Altmer populace. Fast forward through 200 years of progress in opposite directions, and the newly-reformed Aldmeri Dominion found out more or less by accident that they could waltz right up to the Imperial City with minimal resistance.
You're fucking everyone else over too, not just the boring autocratic imperials; you're essentially leaving the Khajiit and Argonians with a side dish of Orcs to deal with the Thalmor by themselves.
The problem is that I know all this yet Khajiits and Argonians are my most played races right next to male orcs. I have this serious issue with the Empire and I don't even know what it is besides the fact that I dislike roman themed things. I dunno if I'm repeating myself too much, but I still would've 100% loved a neutral faction or a neutral agreement between the Stormcloaks and the Imperials. Maybe something like the Empire cutting the Stormcloaks some worship slack in a hush-hush way if Ulfric agreed to direct his rebellion towards the elves or something. It doesn't seem like the Empire controlled Talos worship much until the dickhole Thalmor showed up, specially if you take into account the little event at Morthal.
I have been living multiple lies and it's all Bethesda's fault.
Michael (Michael Kirkbride): How to Say it AllPronounced AHLD-Mary. Means 'of the First Folk.' 'Old Mary' is a Colovian corruption, and joke. Dwemer (the Dwarves) is DWAY-mare. Means 'Deep Folk.' Dunmer (the Dark Elves) is doon-MARE. Means 'Dark Folk.' Colovian hicks say DUHN-merh, but the Dark Elves laugh at them or strike at them, depending upon the number of hicks present. Chimer (precursor to Dunmer) is KY-mare. Means 'Changed Folk.' Oops! This is a secret..! Altmer (High Elves) is AHLT-mare. Means 'High Folk.' Bosmer (Wood Elves) is BO-mare. Means 'Green Folk.' And, finally, Daedra is EITHER DAY-druh OR DEE-druh, depending upon your inclination. DEE-druh is the Dunmeri preference and, since they made up the word, will be more acceptable come TESIII. Means 'Our Stronger, Better Ancestors.'
I'm surprised nobody made a mod to give the Imperial armour an aesthetic like from Oblivion. I don't mind the Roman thing, even if it is a bit shoehorned, but you can't be the only person to be turned off by it.
I tried to run Daggerfall on my GCW-Zero via DOSbox so I could play Elder Scrolls on the go. Unfortunately it was too choppy to run. Outdoors it was tolerable but indoors/in dungeons it was unplayable. And for whatever reason Arena ran even worse, so unless DaggerXL rises from the grave and goes open source I've just have to look elsewhere for portable RPGs.
So is TESO worth $45 now or no?
Well when Online is near the end of its rope, they'll prolly have to work on TESVI: Dominion and bring us to Black Marsh, Valenwood or Elsweyr. Or all of the above if they stick to the plan of making worlds bigger and bigger.
I see you are also a fan of that name I have a thing where I think of a perfect name first and then decide the relevance later Also yeah I'd like to see something where they actually work politics into the game, and not just "lol stormloaks get the reach" bullshit. I want actual weighing of options that determine the fates of entire questlines. An example could be something like the Khajiit working to reclaim the lands taken by the count of Leyawiin (they have an underground terror cell working on this btw) and if you side with another faction in the game, you end up not having time to work with their push to take the lands, so that questline will fail while the one you chose to play succeeds. Being able to complete every single side quest and non-storymode questline in the game really kills any sense of urgency within them. I want lose conditions for every one of them.
I have been living multiple lies and it's all Bethesda's fault.
I think it's safe to say that the creators of the series as a whole know what they're talking about more than a guy who only really had an active hand in one game in the series. Look, I love Morrowind as much as the next guy, and Kirkbride's influence was definitely something that helped Morrowind achieve what it did, and the role he has played in the overall lore of the series is an unmistakable one, but people tend to forget that it wasn't straight up Kirkbride, it was very heavily Bethesda filtered Kirkbride, which is why it was actually legible. We've seen the convoluted mess that unfiltered Kirkbride comes up with in C0DA, and while it's definitely interesting stuff, it's also insane and barely coherent. The point of my Kirkbride rant is that while he's had a lot of background influence over the lore and his active role in Morrowind ended in a great game, he's really not the go to guy for anything, and if Bethesda says it's pronounced one way and he says it's another, he's probably wrong. Literally nobody but Kirkbride, and by extension the people who think he's the real life incarnation of Vivec himself, pronounce Mer as mare or Bosmer with a silent S, and so on. [editline]banana[/editline] what a dumb rant on my part :v: kirkbride nonsense gets my knickers in a twist sometimes
Does anyone know what this annoying symbol on the bottom of my screen is from? None of my mods add this, at least to my awareness, but it disappears whenever my HUD does and definitely isn't part of ENBseries or something. [t]http://i.imgur.com/WbQUmuB.jpg[/t]
That mod that lets you carry corpses. I forget the name of it, but yeah it adds that shitty symbol. You can turn it off from it's MCM menu.
So is TESO worth $45 now or no?
Okay. I'll continue waiting until I see it for $30 or less then
I have been living multiple lies and it's all Bethesda's fault.

Bosmer (Wood Elves) is BO-mare
Then why is spelled with an S you fucking s'wit like, i could kind of see "mare", because "chimera", and "dway" and "doon" are familiar yet alien which kind of goes with the whole "elf" thing pretty good, but what the fuck is this silent S bullshit
But don't they actually pronounce them differently ingame?
They do because nobody could figure this kind of shit out and kirkbride didn't bother telling anybody.
I'm really tempted to buy the elder scrolls online for my ps4 but from what I gathered from this thread, it isn't worth buying?
I'm really tempted to buy the elder scrolls online for my ps4 but from what I gathered from this thread, it isn't worth buying?
It's not unenjoyable. It's just not the greatest.
So is TESO worth $45 now or no?
I bought it for xbone (get off your judgmental high horse) and Im enjoying it, even more so with buddies. Gameplay reminds me of skyrim, but tuned more for mmo play.

But they already do that. Mer are referred to as elves, except Dwemer and Orsimer who people call Dwarves and Orcs, and Daedra are called demons. There really doesn't need to be a third layer to it.
So that website that contracted me to write an article back in the paid mod fiasco contacted me to write another article. Except this time I'm going to have to write up on graphics mods, basically make a guide on how to choose them and how to install them. Does anyone know if Mod Organizer is fully compatible with ENB ? I remember running into some issues with it some time ago but my version of MO may just not be up to date.

Or at least you had to put the Wrapper version in a different place. [sp]you should probably test for yourself[/sp] Also, congratz!
Bingo! It's the old Middle-Earth Roleplaying Project for Oblivion. A gigantic mod that aimed to make the entirety of The Lord of the Rings' Middle-Earth playable like an Elder Scrolls game. [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/27353513753332874/F4E9F9DA1EF42FFF3C91284822DC2CF7E1B46F6F/[/t] Sadly, it was never finished. But the sheer scale of what they've accomplished is incredible. The size of the map is about 10 times bigger than Skyrim. All of it is travellable, and it takes several real hours, even with a horse, to get from one corner to the opposite one. The map is so big actually, that it is only able to show the "closest" mountains at any time. [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/27366287302948942/BC456C90BD11CECDAAB92A467CF9CCE221161479/[/t] In the above picture, those mountains in the back are about three or four times bigger than the Throat of the World. And those are not even the tallest mountains in the game. The few cities that were made are also bigger than in TES games (Imperial City notwithstanding). The most complete, Bree, is about three times bigger than Whiterun or Riften in Skyrim. [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/27366287313143204/442B57EF584E288105DF75E8AA2BC431A62E58CB/[/t] Bree is also the only city that has interiors, but only half of the buildings have one. The city is also only half-populated. And that's by far the most complete a city in MERP has ever been. [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/27366287303103307/104291E1C22A6442879767E364008467DF0B0504/[/t] [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/27366287312336943/99F5FEB34F0EAE13EC62D80B89E37F15F406E49A/[/t] I've only explored a small fraction of the map, but I'll post more pics about this unfinished masterpiece. Let's hope that one day we'll get an Elder Scrolls of that scale. (All pictures were taken with custom ENB, nothing else.)
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah, fuck, Why did this get shutdown for legal reasons, damn it. Hell, they were even porting it to Skyrim!
[t]http://i.imgur.com/9BkUwPp.jpg[/t] Does anyone know what the hell is causing this to happen? I've tried switching the environmental mods I have on (Dark Fantasy Overhaul, Purity) on and off, but the oceans are still missing. Possibly related - underwater fog is opaque, even though I don't have an ENB on or anything. I know I can fix it by turning Skyrim's DOF off, but that seems to disable depth fog completely and also I shouldn't have to. Not having this issue with any of my other MO profiles, even though they're using the same .inis and mostly the same mods, except for some stuff related to vampires and dark fantasy things.
Actually I checked and Mod Organizer's main issue with ENB is that you need to delete your profile's ini files to rebuild them after installing ENB or else it won't pick up properly. This being said, we've decided to leave ENB out and keep it for a guide on its own. Can you guys post your favorite texture/weather mod combinations ? I'm trying to establish cool little combos that look good to make a point that the best way to get a result you like is through mix and matching (while generally avoiding texture mods that only change one or two things because it creates consistency issues). The mods I'll already mention and work with are Imaginator, Simply Bigger Trees, Purity, Splash of Rain, True Storms, Supreme Volumetric Fog, Expanded Towns and Cities, Skyrim HD, Flora Overhaul, ETaC, Real Shelter, Spring Overhaul, Skyrim Flora Overhaul, Realistic Lighting Overhaul and Climates of Tamriel.
is there an equivalent to Increased Wasteland Spawns for Skyrim?
Revenge of the enemies, the s.p.e.r.g. enemy thing, monster mod, and immersive creatures aaaand... there's one other one that increases and randomizes spawns but I can't remember it off hand, also SkyRe has a module for changing and increasing spawns. [editline]14th June 2015[/editline]
You can't install ENB using Mod Organizer since it doesn't go in the Data folder, and I think you have to use the Injector version, not Wrapper. Orcs riding bears in the ESO bit of Beth's E3 conference This is good.
Is everyone excited for the fucking card game???
Ayy Lmao are you ready to play The Elder Hearthstones?
So this is why Bethesda tried to sue Mojang for Scrolls.
