As long you're sticking with either ReLighting or Shadows (or both merged), it's pretty good, anything else and you're going to have lighting issues in certain places.
ok apparently all of my plugins were disabled somehow
Hello,
I was wondering if someone could help me figure out how to install the Real Shelter mod? I'm on the part where I have to run RSPatcher through TES5Edit, but the problem is that none of my esps show up unless I run TES5Edit through Mod Organizer. If I run TES5Edit through Mod Organizer, I have no clue how to run the RSPatcher.tes5pas file. I searched on google and this comment on reddit was helpful but unfortunately when I open the dropdown, there is no "RSPatcher" selection so I'm stuck.

1. Click the gears button. This opens the Modify Executables window.
2. In the Title field, type in what you want to call the application. This fills in the Title field.
3. All the way to the right of the Binary field is a button with an ellipsis with a subtext of "Browse filesystem." Click it. This opens a window where we can browse to the program we want to run.
4. Navigate to the folder where the program is installed and select the application. This fills in the Binary field. *
- If the program's files are located at the same location as the executable (e.g., TESV.exe is in the Skyrim directory, whereas Reproccer.jar is not in the Java directory), steps 5 and 6 may be skipped, as they would be redundant.
6. All the way to the right of the Start in field is a button with an ellipsis. Click it. This opens a window where we can browse to the folder where the program we want to run is located.
7. Navigate to the folder where the program is located and select it. This fills in the Start in field.
8. Do you need the application to call another file, or input a custom setting? Use the Arguments field for any such needs.
9. Do you need to overwrite the Steam AppID? Almost undoubtedly not, but if you do, you can check that option and type in the appropriate AppID in the field provided.
10. Do you desire to close MO when you start the program? Only if you are launching the game, most likely. If you do, check the Close MO when started option.
11. Click the Add button. This will add the application to your executables list.
12. Click Close to close the dialog.
You have to manually add the patcher by searching for RSPatcher manually within the file system of mod organizer.
*When adding the new exec, you usually start within the mod manager directory, there you just go to to the mods folder and search for RealShelter. For me, that's \Mod Organizer\mods\Real Shelter - Full Release\R.S.Patcher\RS Patcher.bat

This would be fucking great if I wasn't using Familiar Faces
which seems to break every time anything relating to the AI changes.

Woo, thanks. I figured it out using the stuff you posted.
For some reason I have no radiant quests anymore. This is the first time I've ever had this problem and I didn't think it was possible.
Never underestimate the power of sweet little lies and papyrus shitting the bed in an endless loop of shitception
Anyone got a fix for Oblivions sound stuttering? Already set bUseSoftwareAudio3D to 1 and its still stuttering.
does skyrim have any mods similar to DUST, like a sort of dismal hyper-lethal post-apocalyptic kind of thing? this made me think of how sick a mod like that could potentially be, Dragon Priests and Draugr hunting you through the woods and towns growing desolate and xenophobic from the desperation and shit.

Vaermina, Fargoth, Nyarlothotep, Backwards Faun, an Orc, Vaermina at a rave, Gene Simmons, an Orc without sunscreen, and Sheogorath.
Yep, the gang's all here.

i have no idea what to do with the normals though
What do you mean? Are you confused as to how to make them or their function?
I kind of get what they do, but the issue is that I'm only working with GIMP (an older version that doesn't support the normal map plugin), and even if I did have the stuff to actually do it, I wouldn't really know what to do. All I would be doing would be adding more detail to the fur itself, but I don't think that would be possible without using a 3D modelling program.

NOT a texture artist by any stretch of the word, in any world including this one, but I know a lot of people hand-paint details onto normals with perfectly pretty-to-look-at results.

They might be doing that in ZBrush using a ripped version of the model.
You can use Zbrush or Mudbox. Mudbox is easier to use, but Zbrush is much better for fine detailing.
For comparison, here's one of the new "plain red" skins side-by-side with the old fox skin:

Here are a couple of other skins added in using Automatic Variants:

they're all hand-painted and it took me an entire day :(
It's a bit bright for Skyrim, could do with being muted a tad.
tbqh they look like they are saying "please god kill me"
You may want to hide that symmetry a bit because it's very noticeable and not very pleasing to the eye.
Nice job otherwise
Is there actually a thread about ESO? Can't find it.
Youre a funny guy, you know that
