I'm not against people trading. Do whatever you want. However, anything that isn't high end enchanted gear will trend towards being completely worthless. Iron, and basic diamond tools are relatively easy to farm.
There's no lag
prerelease 3 seems to be performing significantly better. It was pretty awful the first day or two on prerelease 1 when 1.8 was rolled out. On that note, currently the view distance is 10. I had it at 15 with spigot, and didn't encounter any problems with it. When spigot gets 1.8, I intend to spend a few hours tweaking some stuff and seeing what I can push things to. I don't think a view distance of 20 is out of the question.
Got another friend. dawson_99
I'd like to be whitelisted, my username is Skittles :v: Lucky name
I'd just like to say that this server is amazing. There's no lag, and the towns are amazing! Canal access from the outside going into the city and through the swamp! Roads going everywhere! The only eyesore I've seen is Pablo's house that's floating half off a cliff, but I built a support for that. Great server.
If it's really an eyesore i can remove the house and make it a bit less over the edge, i don't wanna make an eyesore out of the spawn since it's quite nice how it is actually.
If you are concerned about it, just patch the hill its on with dirt.
Can I be whitelisted? Thanks man! andypopz is the ign. Also what is the version you're running on?

I'd like to play vanilla minecraft for a bit. Could you whitelist me? Thank you. Edit: Name is Crude_Oil
It's on the latest build again.
Is anyone else having trouble connecting to the server? Not sure if it's my shitty campus wifi that's blocking me or not, because I was able to download and install the update just fine.
Could I be whitelisted? My Minecraft name's Jamsponge, like my username here.
Hey mate, I'd love to try out Minecraft once again, perhaps you can whitelist me? Looks like you've got some lovely chaps in already IGN is ComradeDispenser I've noticed that you have a map plugin, but I'd suggest to swap it out with dynmap (the family friendly server had it). Pretty much the same, although it features both the 3d view the plugin you're using has and a top-down view which is EXTREMELY handy for making maps, which I believe we'll need in the near future. Plus we're all probably used to top-down maps so it should be easier to navigate just my 2 cents
-Overviewer provides much higher quality shadowing than dynmap. -Overviewer supports compressing the output images -DynMap is a bukkit plugin, and requires bukkit/spigot to function. Currently bukkit/spigot are not up to date with 1.8.

Currently bukkit/spigot are not up to date with 1.8.
I'm pretty sure nobody really cares about shadows in a map, it's a MAP. And besides, the family friendly server (from quite a while ago) was running dynmap and there was a LOT of shit explored already, I just contacted the guy who was hosting it and he said the images didn't weigh that much at all. Probably because they aren't nearly as big as the ones generated by your plugin. Anyway, I can wait. Making maps with overviewer or whatever you've called is impossible, imo it's only useful to show off some of the cooler builds inside the map, dynmap was sort of aimed to be like a real map.
If you are doing isometrics, Overviewers compressed outputs, even with the fancy shadows, are much, MUCH smaller than anything dynmap produces. If you don't have the smooth lighting options enabled, it's output can be even smaller than dynamps top down views. That's how inefficient dynmap is. I want isometric views because they give you a much better view of what the terrain actually looks like, and overviewer is unquestionably superior for generating them, both in terms of visual quality, and disc space usage. If you have a use for top down views I can look into throwing something lightweight together for it, but nothing before a spigot build becomes available. If you want biome overlays or things like that, I can add those to the overviewer render with little additional overhead. If that's not good enough, go somewhere else in the meantime.
Wow... Can't believe there's this much disagreement over a map. Crazy. That said, I like Overviewer. It does what it needs to.
Why don't you just use Minecraft's maps? lol
Don't go crazy over the map, it's just a little something extra. After all, the true vanilla experience is no maps, except ingame ones.
Looks like the next Bukkit will be a while. One of the main contributors is sending DMCA requests to get his code pulled from the project, and he's contributed the third most out of anyone. What's worse, his claims are apparently legitimate because Mojang bought a program licensed under GPL, which means they don't actually own it so much as say they do (all contributors own the code they've written), and you can't combine proprietary code with GPL code without voiding the license. So that's fun.

Can I get whitelisted? I see tons of people from the Profan server back in the vanilla days! (Woolio and SonofBrim) I'd love to start playing again! [editline]4th September 2014[/editline] Are there any mods that help trading? (Currency or Chests that can sell shit ect)
It's vanilla.
I need an ign.
I need an ign.
Oops, My FP name used to be my IGN. IGN is Djessey
And this is why I view BSD as a superior license to the viral bullshit that is the GPL.
Bukkit was GPL because they wanted to keep it open source. The DMCA is legitimate.
lmao, sounds cool, Might check it out. :P
