Also, after crashing the server with 3 stacks of tnt while trying to make some changes via the console, I am pleased to announce that treefeller is operational. Crouch when wielding iron, gold, and diamond axes to use it. I have enabled the classic and classicleaves modes. The first simply destroys wood vertically. The second destroys the leaves as well.
To toggle between them enter /treefeller mode classic or /treefeller mode classicleaves.

It seems that people are unable to change the modes. I'll look into it tomorrow.

With regards to the trefeller plugin: I think I've gotten it working with all log types (though note that acacia trees are crooked so it doesn't work perfectly. There isn't anything I can do about that.) I also think I have a workaround that will allow people to change modes, and I'll get to that tomorrow when there's a couple people I can test with. That still leaves the axe durability problem. Those settings appear to be entirely broken. This alone is making me consider just scrapping the plugin entirely. It's buggy, out of date, and very minimally documented unfortunately.
PvP has been disabled since up until a few hours ago that had more votes. Now it's tied. Considering how close that vote turned out, I'll probably be bringing that up again in a few weeks.

I've seen 6 or 7 people on a few times. Truth be told, I'm actually somewhat surprised that there's this much interest. I was honestly expecting 5 people to have any interest, log on, and then get bored after a couple of hours.

I have mode switching fixed on treefeller. The durability bug has no solution that I am aware of. I really don't like that.

Alright so I'm getting a bunch of different strings of bullshit from the VPS provider. The company I had bought from got bought out a few months ago and I've noticed some flaky performance since then, as well as a number of network hiccups.
Currently I've been told:
There was a fire in the data center.
There was a multiple concurrent disc failure.
One of my IPs got hit with a moderate DOS attack.
I was planning on migrating elsewhere when my time expired in late August/early September. What really pisses me off right now is that I make a weekly archive of everything and use a script to download it and save it at home. Guess when that happens. 3:30 AM on Tuesdays. So if this had happened even 12 hours later, I'd have absolutely everything. Right now I don't have access to the world data.
They are supposed to give everyone 5GB of backup, and I have been dumping archives of the world data there, as well as keeping backups in another folder on the VPS itself, every 24 hours. In my latest ticket I asked about the backup, and haven't heard back quite yet.
Right now I'm still not sure what's going on. All I know is support seems to be making shit up, and I am more than a little pissed off.
I'm about to just purchase a box from ramnode and tell them to go fuck themselves.

Status update:
It's all fucked. I'm going to just buy a box from ramnode. I need a box that works by tomorrow to handle some other crap, and this is getting ridiculous. I'll be setting up the MC server later today after I get my other things online and out of the way. I guess that means I'm eating about 20 bucks in costs. I'll write that off as acceptable if it gets me away from anything remotely dealing with services owned by colocrossing.
Unfortunately this means a world reset.
Do people want a different seed, or should I stick with the same one?
