May I join the server? Played Minecraft on and off since late alpha/early beta and I'd love to try the game again. There'd be a bunch of new shit that I'd have no idea about, would be sweet to learn as most of Facepunch is pretty chill. Been a lurker most of the time, post occasionally when I feel like it (hence the lack of posts but the 4 year old account). I'm more active in the games themselves. I always used Facepunch more as a hub for my vidya stuff. Kinda like Steam.

On the subject of the nether, my latest project is functional, if not complete - a network of roads covering the bases and villages to the north and east of the spawn. I intend on connecting it to the spawn itself soon.

That large island just south of the intersection south of Foreshore looks like where I want to go.
I may not be on too much, though. Since the update, Minecraft has been fairly laggy for me and it's difficult to play for a long period of time anymore.

None of villages are settled in, other than my buildings in Acacia and Cactus (the desert villages). Diorite is untouched, other than the addition of the nether portal, but if you want to shack up with a community then I recommend Wildeholt.

Up again. IDK what it is about 1.8. When it crashes, it just fully locks up most of the time, so I have no easy way of automatically detecting it and rebooting after a crash.

I heard the thief stole ender chests too so watch out. Might need to hide some chest somewhere safe.

I believe I've fixed the lag. Someone had a chicken farm [url=http://107.191.111.68/map/#/-100/64/4841/max/0/0]here.[/url] Thing is, it wasn't a cooked chicken farm, it just seemed to be producing an infinite number of chickens. There were at least 3-400 in a 3x3 area before I destroyed it.
People are free to do things like this, but please put in some form of overflow protection if you are going to leave it unattended for a long period of time.
