Eh, why not? My Minecraft has been lagging as of the 1.8 update, so I doubt I'll be able to join anyways.

There's a fair number of people that only play for a couple of hours a few days a week and such. Not going to lie, the requirement bump hurt activity, but it's that or spend a ridiculous amount of time moderating dumb shit because someone is stealing constantly.

Mods. Mostly anti griefing and stability related.
Additionaly spigot has far, FAR superior resource handling. This eliminates a lot of problems with server lag/desync, and lets you dial up things like draw distance to much higher levels. I expect to be able to push it to 20 chunks, maybe even more.

The only mod that has any influence on gameplay at the moment is a simple world border. In the overworld this is a 20,000 block square centered on 0,0. In other words, you can move around anywhere from -10000,-10000 to 10000,10000. The nether is limited to 1/8th of that for a 2500 block square, or 1250 from 0,0, and the end is a 1000 block square, or 500 from 0,0.

Migration complete. The server may be intermittently restarting while I incorporate some plugins. Otherwise everything is completely stable and playable for the time being. (Resource usage looks to be cut nearly in half. How are official releases so mind bogglingly awful?)
Seeing as I now have propper moderation tools available, I'm going to lower the whitelist requirements back down to their original levels. Anyone who has asked for a whitelist on this page who also met the 50 posts 4 month requirement has been added.
