Ran across a pretty major bug. If you die you will spawn in the void in the end and repeatedly die. Working on a fix, but I have no idea how long this will be.
[editline]29th November 2014[/editline]
Alright. I think I've fixed it. If people would join, drop their shit in a chest, and /kill themselves that would be helpful. Just say your coords in chat and I'll tp you home if you aren't stuck in that limbo nether.

95% sure that this has been resolved.
[editline]29th November 2014[/editline]
It has been resolved, and I've restored the end. If you encounter any weird problems, please post about them in the thread.
I was totally killed by this glitch and should be tpped back to my 6k+ home ;)

Haven't played minecraft in years
I'm so glad there's anti grief protection now!
I was getting very worried.
Why is nobody ever on ;-;
'Because we don't have any time anymore to spend on minecraft constantly"
no one is ever playing...
Everyone has there own timezone's and odd times because of there busy lives, It may seem like noone is going on but they're :)
So it's like single player with lag and when you don't play, someone griefs your house.
I just hope that people have seen my cabin and liked it.
So I logged in, died, couldn't respawn, relogged, and found all of my stuff gone.
I got killed a few days ago by a baby zombie riding a chicken. I had no idea that they could ride chickens, but the fucker was so fast that he actually killed me. When I made it back to my items there was no sign of him to be found.
Until now.....
I was feeding my cows when he darted out of the forest (scared the shit out of me) and started weaving back and forth as if he knew to dodge. But I smacked him a few times with my sword and he died. Victory!
Haven't played in forever, can I get a whitelist? IGN: TentricCon
Is this world fresh from the spigot update?
No. It's the same world that has been running since 1.8 came out.
Gameplay wise there is no change since then, apart from generally having a bit less server side lag.

We should have a specific time to play every day.
Harvested a good amount of assorted crops, and also 7 whole plots of wheat.
I probably should find a place to store the stuff I [del]stole[/del] harvested.
I pretty much gave up after I lost my home at 6k+ blocks away, Lost all my enchanted tools/armor & my house and my nice fishing house :(
Who the hell built that gigantic fucking sky structure over the spawn?

Seriously what the hell is that thing?
The square is a quick point of reference for the spawn chunks.
The platform is the framework for creating a large iron farm. You need to erect lots of scaffolding for temporary doors to prevent multiple villages from coalescing into one super village. You also can't build it near any other wooden doors, so I'm putting it at 175 and above. I've been stockpiling raw materials off and on for the past month. I have roughly enough doors (might need to craft a few dozen extras), and several double chests full of various stones, glass, glowstone, torches, and even have a couple villagers locked in a box nearby.
I expect some complications, but the biggest problem so far is that I've fallen off the damn thing twice already.

You couldnt have built it anywhere else? You had to cover spawn with it too?
This isn't going to completely cover the spawn area in shadow, is it?
If it does, All love you <3
The large square was just a reference point so that I could gauge where to put it. It currently isn't covering any buildings at all. The total area taken up by it will be ~40x50. I specifically put it in a spot so that there would be nothing under it (close, but not directly under).
The frame can be removed whenever. I was just planning on doing it after I was done.

So that is what it was, I was going to make a dirt tower to find out.
Thought it might have been a Glitch or something built in the sky.
Why do you want to build an iron farm so close to spawn anyways?
As much as a iron farm is needed, I hope spawn stays as nice as it is.
I really liked the houses around the lake. Plus as I live there, gotta protect my property values ;)
If villages ever unload, they merge into 1 super village, and that barely produces anything. They need to be in the spawn chunks so that they never unload. The fact that it generates iron continuously is a side benefit.
[QUOTE=KOManiacJim;46645661]Hello there, can you add me to the whitelist please? My Minecraft player name is Yatterhog. Although I may be a absent-minded nut, I will try my best and also I am a gentleman in the game worlds.[/QUOTE]
All vouch for him
