In terms of the /20 part, that's just the default. I don't actually know what the effective cap on the server will be before performance problems occur. I suspect it might be 25 or 30.

Alright guys, here's the plan I propose to everyone: I'm going to start an Olympic arena area near spawn. Off the shore of the ocean near spawn is a small sand island, at x 420 z 130 I'm going to use that as the base of it. I'm aiming to make a spleef arena, an archery range of various distances (several have volunteered to make that happen, knock yourselves out with it!) and a horse race track. The spleef arena will be octagon-esque in shape and will have 4 entrances so up to four "teams" can play. It may be ambitious, but I'm thinking of making the pit below the speef arena drop all the way to bedrock. It would certainly help get materials for the rest of the olympic area. I haven't tested this idea yet, but I'm thinking I'll have the horse track rigged with redstone where a player flips a switch, allowing the gates to open (probably pistons dropping). At the end of the track will be pressure plates rigged up to redstone lamps. The first person to the pressure plate will be the first to light the lamp and so forth. Any help with resources, building or better ideas are welcomed! I'll be starting construction either this weekend or beginning of next week.

Well sloth managed a couple of short mining sessions without being totally raped. In fact had close calls both times. starting to slooowly gain some resources now mostly coal bout twenty-something iron and a single gold helmet a zombie dropped besides junk and a little food that's literally all i have My goal is to be the town troll who supplies all the potions to the town.
