I think it might just be Megaman's crash bomb. They look similar though so it's hard to tell.
The crash bomb has a metal rimming, this doesn't:

I can see the metal rimming on the side of it.

That isn't the metal rimming, that is the goo. Brawl had a goo outline too:

One of the dead giveaways is that the outerrim is semi transparent.

It's the Megaman bomb, lol, you can even see the metallic part clipping through Luigi's overalls on the right side
Welp, looks like you are right. Especially with the metal thing sticking though Luigi I failed to notice.
It could be both stacked on top of each other. It's got the ridging of the crash bomb, but it's got the blobby look of the sticky bomb towards to top.
Or maybe they just modified the crash bomb and gave it that look, it's not like the design had to be final
Or maybe there are multiple shapes for the Crash Bomb.
or maybe its a crash bomb
Or maybe Megaman has been in Smash Bros. this whole time and just coated his Crash Bombs in a layer of goo so we wouldn't know he was in Brawl.
Brawl's unlock requirements meant they were throwing characters at you, rather than feeling like you earned them.
Well I don't know where that puts SSB64 because yesterday i unlocked every character in less than an hour

Snake clearly needs to come back so we can make snake's on a plane jokes.

Smash 64 was far more limited in scope than the later games.

I was infact not being serious with that previous comment my friend
(true about the every character in one hour thing though)
Sorry, got up quite recently and I'm not quite sharp at the moment...
Still, apart of Ness, which requires specific conditions, the 64 unlocks are quite easy, provided you know what you are doing.

I always go Luigi -> Ness -> Captain Falcon -> Jigglypuff
Use Luigi to unlock Ness, then use Ness to get the other two

Looks like the stage cycles through different graphics based on the different generations of Pilotwings games.

How many were there?
How many were there?
3: Pilotwings, Pilotwings 64, and Pilotwings Resort.
what i dont understand about meleetards:
ssb64 had few characters
ssbm had more characters but the game felt nerfed
ssbb had more characters, less clones, and the game was nerfed again.
so why do melee players say its the best smash bros game for competitive reasons? my guess is that they are fanboys of the first game they played, and just never played ssb64.
can anyone else explain it?
(personally, i think every game was an improvement from the last, but the order of intense action and competitive gameplay is brawl minus>ssb64>ssbm>ssbb)
Personally I think if you want to start an actual opinion you shouldn't call people meleetards.

Or this is the Wii U stage (SNES Pilotwings) and the 3DS Stage is Wuhu Island because of Pilotwings Resort.
The game felt nerfed despite the introduction of two throws, a special move and several new dodges, as well as increased game speed. Throws were slighty nerfed tho.
So yeah, I beg to disagree with that.

I played all 3. Melee was by far the most balanced, and by some smaller amount the best.

It's more balanced, but less fun, imo
Or this is the Wii U stage (SNES Pilotwings) and the 3DS Stage is Wuhu Island because of Pilotwings Resort.
nope, that screenshot is clearly on the wii u because of the lack of character outlines.
...Does anyone else think it's funny that wuhu island is right there? Maybe there's gonna be a mii reveal soon.
Melee is balanced, but only if everyone uses Fox
Like seriously some characters just have no chance against others

Well, the Pilotwings: Resort was on Wuhu, and 64 even had an island that was quite a predecessor to Wuhu Island. It's no surprise it's in the background as a tribute.
You probably can still expect a Mii eventually, though.

what is this "nerfed" and obviously melee is the greatest one. and no "fanboys" don't come from the first game they play, they come from the first in the series, for example "ssb64"
