No, just no. That just skewers Tails as a character, AND makes Sonic less of a character as well. It was stupid in Episode 2, and it would be stupid in Smash. Seriously, Tails went over being just second fiddle in the second game he appeared.
Since we have reached the weekend again, lets talk about music. What music do you guys want in the game? For example, I wish this song was in the Pilotwings stage:
I kinda wish there was some Wario World music
More Wario Land/World material in general would be incredible.
I wish we would get Captain Syrup as a character as a rep from the Wario series, but I would be ok with a Warioland stage.
I have a feeling this will be in, but I want the main theme from Mario Galaxy. It's one of my absolute favorite songs from any game ever. I just get chills when I hear it.

It sounds worthy of being Wario's own theme, it encapsulates his character so well. I would love Greenhorn Forest / Ruins as a stage, too.

Personally I think the grungy sax sound of the original fits his persona perfectly. But that theme's a classic too. Wario games (not Warioware) have always been some of my favorites. They're all pretty interesting, ranging from puzzle platforming to 3D brawling, and all with a wacky, offbeat and humorously crude tone. Hell, Wario Land 3 beats even Pokemon as my favorite Gameboy game ever. [editline]t[/editline] Oh yeah, and even back on the Gameboy, the Wario Land series had pretty great music. This one still makes me smile:

I'd rather see a sequel on 3DS, with more levels, a better hub, and online competitive style co-op (two players work together to beat a level, but whoever gets the most money gets a better bonus for the next level) Plus the WarioWare minigames like in the first game. It would work really well on a handheld, and wouldn't need a transfer cable.
What I want is the option to play Donkey and Diddy like in DKC as well as seperate. Who knows, maybe Dixie and unknown 4th kong will play like that.

I could see a temporary alliance forming just because Reptiles and the cold don't mix.

I don't like how they're focusing more on WarioWare these days when it comes to his design. I mean, that series is okay, but I wouldn't say they're actually Wario games at all. A Wario game consists of a mixture of comically smashing your way through enemies and using bizarre powerups, techniques and afflictions to explore and progress. Best examples of this are Wario Land 3 and Wario Land: Shake It.

It wasn't nearly as polished. I wouldn't consider it to be a prime example of the formula. Its aim was an interesting one though. I think it was the first platforming game ever made with diverging routes to alternate endings. I still prefered the slightly more structured nature of 3 in the end, and so did a lot of people.
man if wario is in the game i hope they go with his classic outfit. his biker outfit is dumb and looks terrible. bring back the yellow and purple
his yellow and purple outfit is also a choice in brawl AFAIK
This song needs to be in
Gotta give Wario Land some service before we go for the spinoff. Personally I think WL2 is pretty easily the best one. 3 is far too convoluted. Also no Captain Syrup.
wario land: shake it! is a goldmine of gorgeous soundtracks definitely my favourite piece of ost
Kinda silly how they nabbed some of the Wario Land: Shake It content for Brawl but didn't use anything other than a brief chime they used for his victory theme. I know they were being cautious due to the possibilities of delays, but it's not like Melee didn't have content for games that weren't done yet.
did it?
Well only in the trophies from what I recall.
Well only in the trophies from what I recall.
Actually, Roy debuted in Melee, as Fire Emblem: Sword of Seals wasn't released yet at that time.
Well only in the trophies from what I recall.
Are you talking about the Animal Crossing ones? Because that only applies in America/Europe, Animal Forest had already been released in Japan. Forgot about Roy.
Actually, Roy debuted in Melee, as Fire Emblem: Sword of Seals wasn't released yet at that time.
Trailers for Sword of Seals actually showed Roy before Melee though.
Trailers for Sword of Seals actually showed Roy before Melee though.
And Wario Land: Shake It was certainly a long ways through production by the time Brawl was released. Hand-drawn animations take a ton of time. The game itself was certainly nearing completion so they had very little reason to not derive some content from it due to how closely in timeframes the two titles were released and presumably had parallel development periods. Taking just a snippet of a tune for use in the victory animation is all we got in the end when there was so much more potential. Meanwhile an entire character scoots past the radar just fine despite not being from a game that was publicly released at the time.
Wario World must be a really rare game, I've never seen it anywhere. Which is a shame, the game looks great and totally what I'd expect from a Wario game. More "classic" Wario games would help boosting interest in "classic" Wario (not the biker one anyway), but this won't happen for a while :v:
Could someone be so kindly and summarize the story with the story mode? Everyone was shocked when it was said that there wasn't going to be a story mode. Then everyone was happy, that there will be one, but only with cutscenes at the beginning and at the end. And I think Kotaku was to blame for all of this.
